Traditional Holy Saturday Message, April 3, 2010
In recognition of traditional Holy Saturday, Bishop Gene Savoy gave this brief message before proceeding with the Communion of Fellowship Service:
“On this day before First Dispensation Easter as observed by Christians in the West in commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we are reminded that flesh and blood do not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven, but that Spirit is eternal.
“In commemorating the traditional Easter Season, we do so in anticipation of True Easter as celebrated in the Second Advent Church on April 18 each year, following the Sacred Calendar.
“We participate in the glorious communion of the Angels of Light, joining with Jesus and the Essaei and all those of other religions who have been reborn into the Community of Light, which is the resurrection of the Spirit, which comes about only through participation in the glorious Messianic Communion with the Celestial Christ.
“Let us now join in this ancient meal in memory of Jesus and his Ministry, whcih we have come to fulfill.”
