Shinobu Exhibits Artwork at Fujiyama Gallery

Shinobu Uwataki, a longtime member of the Community from Japan exhibited a selection of her artwork at Fujiyama Gallery in Fukuoka, Japan, October 27–30, 2011. This, her third individual show, displayed 45 of her pencil drawings and water colors. Her images include Angels, The Child, and plant life.

Born in Kumamoto, Japan, Shinobu studied Japanese traditional art at Saga University and later moved to Takeo when she married. At present she executes paintings for the Buddhist Temple. She says, “I hope that people feel light, affection, and hope from my works over the pain and sorrows of life.”
