Refine Every Human Function, Including What You Eat

“’You need to refine every human function – moving, sleeping, breathing, thinking, feeling – and eating.’

‘Wait a minute, Socrates, eating isn’t a problem area for me. I’m slim, I generally feel good, and my gymnastics proves I have plenty of energy. How is changing a few things in my diet going to make a difference [in my spiritual growth]?’

‘Your present diet may give you plenty of energy, but it makes you groggy, affects your moods, and lowers your level of awareness. …’

“In your present state of evolution, you cannot “eat sunlight” except in limited ways. When humanity does develop this ability, the digestive organs will become vestigial and laxative companies will go out of business. For now, a proper diet allows you to make the most direct use of the sun’s energy. This energy helps you focus your attention, sharpening your concentration into a slashing blade. … Your good habits must become so strong that they disolve the ones that are not useful. … I eat only what is wholesome, and I eat only as much as I need. … My diet may at first seem spartan compared to indulgences you call ‘moderation,’ Dan, but I take great pleasure in what I eat because I’ve developed the capacity to enjoy simple foods.” ~Dan Millman

Refine Yourself

While doing proper solar techniques is the primary teaching of Cosolargy, it isn’t the only thing. It is the most important, but there are other things we should do to help our spiritual growth. As the old man Dan calls Socrates (not his real name) says, we need to refine every human function. Some of those functions are easier to refine than others, and changes in our eating habits is one of the easiest.

Healthy Eating

The first rule of healthy eating is to avoid anything artificial. That includes artificial colors and flavors as well as foods that are artificial. Second, avoid heavily processed foods. That seems to be a hard one for most Americans today. We have become addicted to convenient fast foods, which are more accurately called junk food. It also includes anything with processed sugar added. And if you are not ready to give up meat entirely, at least avoid beef and pork—and yes, that definitely included bacon, probably the most unhealthy thing humans eat. As the quote says, such foods lower your vibrations, and your frequencies, and if you are seeking real spiritual growth, that is the opposite of what you want to do.

I recently read the book “Lifespan” by David A. Sinclair, in which he talks about his research into aging and the research of others on the same subject. In this book, he gives advice on what we can do now to not only add years to our lives, but add healthy years. One of the things he advises is healthy eating, and the first rule of it is to avoid eating mammals. That means no beef or pork.

Even good food like fresh fruits and vegetables can be unhealthy if you only eat them cooked. It is a good practice to have some uncooked fruits or vegetables as part of each meal. The enzymes in fresh fruits and vegetables help them digest better and better digestion means better health. Physical health does affect your spiritual health, so it is good to stay physically healthy.

Eat Sunlight

Socrates tells Dan that in our present state, we can’t “’eat sunlight’ except in limited ways.” While what he says is true, at least in the way he meant it, it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t bother to “eat sunlight,” even if it is in a limited way. You must also realize that Millman’s book was written in the 1980s, and much has changed since then. While it remains true that humans cannot YET live entirely on sunlight, we do need it for spiritual growth, especially the Light of the Spiritual Sun.

Note: I was beginning to doubt that the man Millman calls Socrates was a real spiritual teacher until I read this short comment about sunlight. From that, I can see that he is a valid spiritual teacher, and while he may not have been teaching Dan the things that Cosolargy teaches, it is because he was teaching one individual and taught him according to where that student was and what he was ready to learn.

Only What You Need

Socrates also says that he eats only what he needs. In other words, he makes sure that he supplies his body with the necessary vitamins, proteins, carbs, fat, minerals, and enzymes that it needs. When you do that, the desire to overeat tends to fade. So does the desire for junk food.

I started following the diet known as the “Bright Line Eating Plan” a few years ago. I won’t go into all the details, but here are the basics of this diet. You avoid sugar and anything that has sugar added to it. You avoid anything made with flour. Grains are allowed, as long as they have not been ground into flour. So oatmeal and puffed rice, for example, are allowed. Beyond that, the diet includes plenty of fruits and vegetables, much of it fresh. And you eat three meals a day with no snacks. I lost weight easily when I am on this plan, and I am much healthier by following it.

So do your solar techniques, read your lesson books and other spiritual books, listen to music ad burn incense. But also remember to eat a more spiritual diet, which also happens to be the kind recommended for a long and healthy life.

“Ring galaxies, the rarest in the Universe, finally explained”

ring galaxy

  • Almost every galaxy can be classified as a spiral, elliptical, or irregular galaxy. Only 1-in-10,000 galaxies fall into the rarest category of all: ring galaxies.
  • With a dense core consisting of old stars, and a circular or elliptical ring consisting of bright, blue, young stars, the first ring was only discovered in 1950: Hoag’s object.
  • After decades of wondering how these objects form, we’ve seen enough of them, capturing them in various stages of evolution, that we finally know where they come from.

“Breaking News: Scientists Uncover the Largest Planet Ever Discovered”

largest planet

In a groundbreaking discovery, a team of scientists has identified the largest planet known to exist in the universe. The planet, named OGLE-2016-BLG-1195Lb, is about 13 times more massive than Jupiter, the largest planet in our Solar System, and orbits a star that is about 22,000 light-years away from Earth. This finding challenges our current understanding of how planets form and raises new questions about the diversity and distribution of planetary systems in the cosmos.

THE GENE SAVOY ROUTE – Photo Album

Cabalgada

We recently reported on a planned trip in Peru sponsored by Gene Savoy Xplorations (GSX). Here is an after-report on the trip from its organizer:

Update to Gene Savoy Jr. from Martin Chumbe

Seven people participated in this event.  We had talks and conversations with the populations involved in this event, about the person, and the work of your father Dr. Gene Sovoy. The objective of this CABALGATA was and will always be TO CLAIM the name of GENE SAVOY, for all that its exploration and discoveries contributed and continue to contribute to the growth of tourism and the clarification of the CHACHAPOYA culture.

The organization of this ride called THROUGH THE ROUTES OF GENE SAVOY, was organized by me to remember that in the 1960s Gene Savoy walked for the first time and discovered numerous archaeological remains such as Pirka Pirka, Gran Chivani (today called Vira Vira ), and La Capilla that are part of the Chachapoya road. We have had meetings in each place we arrived. And we explained who arrived first, who discovered it and who Gene Savoy was during his life, which caused a lot of surprise because nobody knew. Only two or three people remembered your father in the town of Chivani. We had a meeting with the schoolchildren and left copies of the films THE LOST CITY OF THE ANDES and ROYAL ROADS TO DISCOVERY, So that the children would know the greatness of the Chachapoyas and the great work that GENE SAVOY did.

Leymebamba was a bastion of hatred towards Gene Savoy [when he first arrived], but today people have changed a lot. And after this parade, they have a vision of the work that Gene Savoy did. And many of the participants were people from Leymebamba. Today it is no longer a taboo to talk about Savoy; on the contrary, it is a reference to his great discoveries.

Our final OBJECTIVE was to open and create new alternative routes with great visual and cultural impact that have enormous potential for tourism, since today our main icon Kuelap is closed due to its daily deterioration — and disappearance if corrective actions are not taken on time.

As an agency that we project into the future, it was a TOTAL SUCCESS, because now many people ask me, they write to me that they want to do this parade again. Now the name of Savoy is heard more in Chachapoyas and on all the routes we followed. The places we visited were the following:
– Uchumarca, Pirka Pirka, Los Estribos, Michimal, Llamactambo, La Capilla and Las quinuas, all in the La Libertad region.
– Huaybamba Lagoon, Vivi Vira, in the San Martin region.
– Ulia 4100 masl, limit between Amazonas and La Libertad.
– Mishacocha Lagoon, Sierprecocha Lagoon, Inka baths, Chuquibamba, Cochamba, all this in the Amazon Region.

As you can see, it has been a great trip. Now people who knew little about him are talking about the Gene Savoy routes. The most important thing about all this is that now more is known about your father’s work. The myths of what was said in the past are already being broken.

Below are some of the photos Martin sent:

We are all Prodigal Sons and Daughters

prodigal son painting
The prodigal son is welcomed home

“The mystic knows his task to be the attainment of Being, Eternal Life, union with the One, the ‘return to the Father’s Heart’: for the parable of the Prodigal Son is to him the history of the universe. This union is to be attained, first by cooperation in that life which bears him up, in which he [or she] is immersed. We must become conscious of this great life of the ALL, merge ourselves in it if we are to find our way back from whence we came. Hence there are really two distinct acts of Divine Union., two distinct kinds of illumination involved in the Myatic way: thr dual character of the spiritual consciousness brings a dual responsibility in its train. First, there is the union with Life, with the world of Becoming: and parallel with it, the illumination by which the Mystic gazes upon the veritable world, Secondly, there is the union with Being with the One: and that final, ineffable illumination of pure love which is called the ‘Knowledge of God.’ It is through the development of the third factor, the free, creative Spirit, the scrap of Absolute Life which is the ground of his soul, that the Mystic can conceive and accomplish these transcendent acts.” ~Evelyn Underhill

Attainment of Being

Attainment of Being certainly is one of the goals of the Mystic or spiritual Adept. Some might reply to this, “But I already exist, I already am ‘Being’”. But Underhill is talking about a different level of Being. She is talking about having an awakened spirit, your eternal Being, not your temporary physical being. Beyond that, the attainment of Eternal Life and joining the One are more advanced goals of the Adept. This is why she says this “return to the Father’s Heart” is represented by the parable of the Prodigal Son.

The Prodigal Son

In the parable of the Prodigal Son, a wealthy man has two sons. His youngest son asks for his inheritance in advance and is given it. The son then leaves home and goes off to live a life of excess using up his money. When a famine strikes his new home, he is left destitute and forced to take a job as a swineherd. After a while, he decided to return home to his father. His father welcomed him back with open arms. That is a short version of the story, you can read more detailed versions elsewhere if you wish.

Ms. Underhill tells us that this tale is allegorical, and I think she is right. The prodigal son represents all of us who have wandered far from the Father of us all: God. God is spiritual and lives in a spiritual world. We lived there once also but fell into the realm of matter, the creation of the false god known as the Demiurge in Gnostic literature.

We have not only fallen into the realm of matter, but over many centuries, we have embraced this world and fallen deeper and deeper into its clutches until we are now at a point where, if we fall any further, we will not be able to return.

The prodigal son, fallen to the point where he must become a swineherd, an undesirable job for a Jew, represents all of us fallen as low into dense matter as we can, and still have a spirit and soul that can be saved. The prodigal son had the good sense to turn around and return to his father. We must all show the same sense and return to the Father of us all: God in Heaven. We do that by awakening our spiritual faculties with the Light of the Spiritual Sun, and by continuing to develop those faculties until we achieve Oneness with God.

“’Comet of a decade’ to whiz past Earth in likely first visit in 4.5 billion years”

comet

A newly-discovered bright comet visible to naked eyes – even from the suburbs of larger cities – will whiz past Earth next year.

While naked-eye comets are rare, visible roughly once in two years, C/2023 A3 could be a comet of a decade, according to Peter Veres, an astronomer at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.

“Comet C/2023 A3 is no threat to Earth,” said Veres, who is also a research scientist at the Minor Planet Center. “We know the comet’s orbit well. The orbit is becoming better and better with more and more astrometric observations incoming to our center – the MPC.”

“Why stars never collide and galaxies always do”

Andromeda galaxy

Science fiction loves space collisions. Across decades of books, movies, TV shows, and video games, we have been treated to a lot of space stuff slamming into other space stuff. Think of all those starship chases through dense asteroid fields — The Empire Strikes Back comes to mind. The heroes must avoid enemy fighters while navigating through giant space rocks that are crashing together.

In reality, though, how likely is it that things collide in the vast blackness of space? To answer that question, we are going to focus on two familiar forms of celestial bodies: stars and galaxies.

In three years, the “Ƅlack hole мerger,” a rare astronoмical occurrence, will take place. A single Ƅlack hole will be created when two extremely large black holes мeet and мerge. Due to the fact that the point of conʋergence will Ƅe ʋisiƄle to telescopes, this enables researchers to мore thoroughly examine the characteristics and behavior of Ƅlack holes. Scientists and anyone who enjoys science are likely to Ƅe ʋery interested in this Ƅig and fascinating occurrence.

Scientists eagerly await the historic мoмent, as it would be the first tiмe that graʋitational waʋes eмitted Ƅy such an eʋent haʋe Ƅeen recorded on Earth.
