Finding and Obtaining the Clear Light of God

spirit

“Navigating the terrains of the Bardo, we may face unwelcome travelers of fear and disorientation, which stir the waters of our minds, obscuring the serene reflection needed for recognizing the Clear Light. Familiarity with the path is indispensable; without prior experience and reflection on the essence of the Clear Light, recognition in the Bardo becomes akin to finding a needle in a cosmic haystack. The “Bardo Thödol” prescribes practices and teachings aimed at peeling away these veils, refining our perception, and revealing the luminous nature inherent in all beings. By integrating mindfulness, compassion, and wisdom into daily life, practitioners prepare to meet this unique juncture with awareness and understanding, recognizing the Clear Light as their true nature. This unveiling is more than an ephemeral experience; it’s a golden opportunity for immediate liberation, an invitation to awaken to our innate wisdom and compassion, to reflect on life’s impermanence, and to live with mindfulness and spiritual vigor. The teachings of this Bardo serve as a guide for the dying and a reflective mirror for the living, unveiling deeper truths of existence and offering a path towards self-realization and liberation.”

-the Tibetan Book of the Dead

Unwelcome Travelers

TheWord Bardo refers to the place where we are between Heaven and Earth, but what the quote says about unwanted travelers applies to the physical world as well. Not only might we face “unwelcome travelers,” we definitely will. These unwelcome travelers of fear and disorientation are generally called demons and devils. Their purpose is to keep us confused about what is real and what is illusion, what is important and what isn’t. They want to prevent us from awakening and developing our spiritual Self.

Serene Reflection

Serene Reflection is needed to recognize the Clear Light of God and the path to it. Some schools teach that this “serene reflection” means practicing basic meditation, but that is a tool for beginners and we must remember that the ancient schools were careful to not put too much knowledge in writing to prevent it from being misused. There is, as we know in Cosolargy, ample evidence that the ancient spiritual groups and mystery schools in many parts of the world practiced some form of spiritual Sun Gazing.

Bardo Thödol

Bardo Thödol is another name for the Tibetan Book of the Dead, so the real purpose of this book is to teach people how to engage in spiritual development. The quote says that its teachings are aimed at “peeling away the veils”. It was taught in many spiritual schools that the Spiritual Sun was blocked from us by “veils”, and those veils would be lifted at some future date. We are now living in the time when the veils are being lifted and people are awakening to the reality of a Spiritual Self, and the need to awaken and develop it. Although some veils may remain, practicing the proper techniques can lift those veils.

Awaken to Wisdom

The quote says the lifting of the veils gives us an opportunity to “ awaken to our innate wisdom and compassion.” Another way of saying it is that it gives us the ability to develop higher levels of consciousness until we reach the highest levels where we are one with the All, one with God. When that happens, we are also one with True Wisdom and Love for all. That is how we become part of the Clear Light of God.

On Some Aspects of God

David in the Psalms says, ‘I believe I see the goodness of the lord in the land of the living.’ He also says, ‘Let your good spirit lead me on a level path.’ Solomon declares, ‘But the just will inherit the earth and live on it forever.’ About creation, I wish to confess that our lord God is the creator and author, but not of the elements of the world, which are impotent and empty, and as Paul said in Galatians, ‘How can you now turn back to the impotent and empty elements under which you suffer a new slavery?’ The messenger also says in Colossians, ‘If with Christ you died to the elemental spirits of the universe, why do you live as if you still belonged to the world?

GOD HAS NOT MADE DEATH

Even less can we admit that our lord is the creator and author of death, and of the things that are, by their essence, in death, because, as it is written in the book of Wisdom, ‘God has not made death, and he does not rejoice at the loss of the living.’ There exists, then, with no doubt whatsoever, another creature or factor, who is the principle and cause of death, of perdition, and of all evil.

ON THE OMNIPOTENCE OF THE TRUE LORD GOD

I wish to speak now of the omnipotence of the true lord God, which so often permits our adversaries to play the glorious one when they claim against us that there is no other force or power than theirs. Although in the testimony of the holy scriptures, the true lord God may be called all powerful, one must not believe that he is called that because he can do and does all evils, because there exist many evils that the lord cannot and will never do.

THAT GOD CANNOT DO EVIL

If God does not want to do all the wicked things, if he does not want to lie or destroy himself, surely he cannot. Because what God in his unity does not want to do, he cannot do. And what he cannot do, he does not want to do. And in this sense, one must say that the power of sinning and of doing evil does not belong to the true lord God. All that is thought to be God’s attributes and conduct is not accidental, as the learned know. It necessarily follows, then, that God himself and his will are one and the same. The good God cannot lie or commit every kind of evil, if he wants to, because this true God cannot do what he does not want to, we repeat, since he himself and his will are one and the same.

-Book of The Two Principles

Goodness of God

Yes, God is good in the Land of the Living. Actually, God is always good. But what is the land of the Living? It is the realm of spirit, especially the highest level of spirit that most call Heaven or Nirvana. The Earth, currently a part of the physical realm created by the false god, the Demiurge, is a place of death and disease. Yet Solomon says ‘the just will inherit the earth and live on it forever.’ Which means the Earth must change back into a world of spirit so eternal spirits can live here.

God Doesn’t Kill

In many cases, people believe that God kills under certain circumstances. That is not true. God never kills. Some will argue that if God allows demons, devils, and evil people to kill, that is the same as if God kills them. That is like saying a rock is a killer because someone shaped the rock into a spearhead. In any case, God doesn’t kill because it is pointless to kill the physical body which is already temporary, and God cannot kill the eternal Soul as he made it to be immortal.

God is Omnipotent

God is all-powerful and indestructible. While the false gods will say otherwise, the true God remains the only God that is omnipotent. There is a simple reason for this. When you put together the spirits of all beings, all things, all spirits of any kind, you have God. There is no way for anyone to destroy all of that.

God does not do Evil

Some think that if God is omnipotent, then he must do evil as well as good, but simply because God is all-powerful doesn’t mean God does all things, including evil. It is the very nature of God to be Good, to be loving, to be forgiving. Only false gods do evil, get jealous, take revenge, etc. The true God is not like that.

Mani on Eating Bread and Being Attacked by an Angry Crowd

“Then I said to them, ‘In no way would I destroy the commandments of the Savior. But if you reproach me on account of wheat bread, because I have said, “It is necessary to eat of it,” this the savior has done; as it is written, that when he had blessed it and shared it with his students, “over bread he said a blessing and gave it to them.” Was not that bread from wheat? The scripture points out that he reclined to eat with tax collectors and idolaters. Likewise, he also reclined to eat in the house of Martha and Mary on the occasion when Martha said to him, “Lord, do you not care enough for me so as to tell my sister to help me?” and the savior said to her, “Mary has chosen the good portion, and it will not be taken away from her.” Consider, moreover, how even the students of the savior ate bread from women and idolaters and did not separate bread from bread, nor vegetable from vegetable; nor did they eat, while laboring in the toil and tilling of the land, as you do today. Likewise, when the savior sent his students out to preach in each place, neither mill nor oven did they carry with them, but made haste, taking one garment. . . ‘

“Then Mani said to them, “Consider these famous men of your law, those who saw these visions, who were moved by them and proclaimed them as good news to others. Likewise, I too practice everything I was taught by them.” “While I was speaking to them, reducing their words to nothing, suddenly they became angry and violent, and one of them even got up and hit me. They huddled around me and beat me. They grabbed my hair as though I were an enemy. They shouted at me in a loud voice that grew bitter and angry as at someone who was superstitious. Out of malice, they wanted to strangle me. Because Pattikios, the master of the house, begged them not to be impious toward people among them, they were ashamed and released me. After I went through this trial, I withdrew to one side and stood praying. I prayed for our lord to come to my aid.”

-On the Origins of His Body (a Manichian scripture)

Mani on Eating Bread

It is not clear who Mani was, though he calls himself a disciple of Jesus. He was the leader of a Gnostic group that we now refer to as Manichians. In the first part of the above quote, he is addressing someone who has apparently objected to Mani and his followers eating wheat bread and eating bread from “unclean” sources. He points out that Jesus and his apostles did the same. He notes, however, that Jesus blessed the bread before sharing it with the apostles. The implication is that his blessing removes all negative characteristics from it. We know today that most types of bread are not as healthy as people believed for centuries, but it isn’t the nutritional value that Mani is talking about.

Ate Bread from Women and Idolaters

Mani adds that the students of the savior ate bread that came “from women and idolaters”. It is not clear if he means bread that was made by such people, or simply served by them. Perhaps both. He adds that they even ate vegetables from such people. Why anyone should be concerned about eating bread or other foods from women is beyond me, but apparently there were people in the time of Mani who objected to doing so.

Mani adds that when the followers of Jesus traveled, they did not carry an oven with them. The implication is that they did not bake their own bread, but relied on the people they were visiting to supply them with food, no matter who those people were.

Such things sound silly to most people today, but we have those who avoid buying products from some companies because of their politics.

Reducing Their Words to Nothing

Mani changes the subject here and is now telling the story of a time he was attacked by a crowd of people he was speaking to for “reducing their words to nothing”. In other words, he was contradicting long-held beliefs of theirs and many people will turn on someone who does that rather than admit they were wrong. We still see a lot of this today. Many politicians take advantage of this fact to manipulate and control people. We see this in Cosolargy where we lose a number of students after six or seven months of study because they reach some teaching in the books that contradicts a belief they are not willing to change. They don’t see that if you can’t change, you can’t move forward.

God Creates the Worlds of Light

“Before all the worlds came into being there was a sole enormous fruit, and when the enormous fruit entered a fruit, the great and glistening King of Light began. An ether of radiance existed. From the ether of radiance came the living fire. From the living fire there was a light. By the power of the king of light came the great fruit and life. The great fruit came alive and in it rolled the Jordan, which is also a garden. The great Jordan came alive, and the living water was in it. Luminous water came alive from the living water. I, life, came alive and all the uthras—the light beings—found space.

“When the fruit was in the fruit, when the ether was in the ether, when the great and glorious Mana was there from whom powerful manas came, whose radiance is enormous and light is great, no one was before them in the fruit abundant and without end, whose radiance is too abundant for the words of the mouth, and whose light, which was in that fruit, too great for telling with the lips. From the fruit came a thousand thousand fruits without end and a myriad myriad of beings of light, the shkinas, beyond count. In each fruit were a thousand thousand beings of light. They stand and praise the great and glorious Mana, who lives in the great ether, within the Jordans of white water made by the Mana, whose aroma is fragrant and inhaled on all the roots of light and on the great first radiance. The long Jordan was made to go on uncounted and endlessly. Plants grow next to it. They are happy. They praise and stand in perfection, and from the great Jordan came uncounted Jordans endlessly.”

-The Ginza

A sole Enormous Fruit

This is obviously an allegorical statement. It was written in a way that people with little scientific knowledge could understand. It is simply saying that there was one undivided Whole, a Oneness. This was before God created anything. This oneness is sometimes called the Godhead.

King of Light

The King of Light is God. From the phrase “ the great and glistening King of Light began,” it sounds like God is being created, but that is not exactly true. God always existed and always will. He is outside the limitations of time and space. I think this refers to God beginning his creation. It is confusing when we always think in terms of time and space, but even though God had to create the Worlds of Light and the beings of Light, those worlds and those beings have no beginning and no end as they too are outside of the limitations of Time and Space. I am illustrating this article with an image of what is supposed to be the hand of God creating. I used that image because it is a popular way of illustrating creation, but God is a spirit and doesn’t have hands. In any case, it is the mind of God that creates, not his hands.

From The Light Came Life

From the Spiritual Light of God comes Spiritual Life. Physical life is an altered version of Spiritual Life and is created by the Demiurge, not the real God. From the Light, powerful Manas also were created. Mana is a Hindu word that refers to the Spiritual Mind, so this is telling us that the Light not only produced spiritual bodies, but also spiritual minds.

Myriad Beings of Light

The quote then says that Beings of Light came from the Light, or in other words, were created by the Light. These are the beings that most of us call angels. They were created before humans were created, so while some angels may have spent time in physical form on Earth, angels are not created from dead humans. They were angels before they became human. In other words, we were Spiritual Beings before the Great Fall in which we became beings of matter.

Jordans of White Water

The Ginza says that the Mana created many Jordans. This is allegorical. The Jordan river was considered sacred to the ancients so what this means is that the Spiritual Mind of God created a great flow of Light full of Grace, truth, and Wisdom. Those rays of Light are the Jordans of White Water.

A Mystical Experience

December 6th, 2024

It was a quiet Friday evening, and I was reading, sitting on my bed. The hour was close to 8:45pm, when I saw a movement to the right of my vision. I turned and saw a brilliant sun entity coming through my window on the northeast side of our parsonage. It was about ten inches across and a brilliant turquoise in color. It seemed to be aware of me as it moved about the room.

The entity was bright and clear, and did not fade as my eyes followed its movements. This movement continued for approximately 60 seconds. The emotion in my body changed quickly to extreme happiness. Then, during this beautiful moment, the sun symbol changed into the most perfect, clear solar cross while still a brilliant turquoise in color. Then after fifteen seconds in this new form, it slowly departed my room through the wall.

Another part of this wonderful experience happened as I fell asleep that evening. I felt a very strong tapping on my right shoulder, so strong was this touch that I sat up and looked around expecting to see someone near me. It was as if I was being reminded that my experience was very real.

The following evening, the entity returned at approximately the same time, in the form of our solar cross and placed itself over a photo of Bishop Gene Savoy Sr and slowly faded over a period of 10 seconds. The emotion of happiness was again very strong.

The three signs that I perceived were a sun, our solar cross, and the color turquoise.

From our Community book on dreams and visions, a sun in a dream or vision is a very significant sign presaging some kind of Spiritual revelation, in which the individual can expect profound changes for a new life.

Then we have a cross: “to see, a good omen implying holiness.” And finally, the color turquoise, a sign of physical well-being and strength. It is also a symbol of regeneration.

The Ignorant Rulers and the Perfect Ones

“ For it was ludicrous. It is I who bear witness that it was ludicrous, since the rulers do not know that this is an ineffable union of undefiled truth, as exists among the children of light, of which they made an imitation, having proclaimed a doctrine of a dead man and lies so as to resemble the freedom and purity of the perfect assembly, and having joined themselves in their doctrine to fear and slavery, worldly cares, and abandoned worship, being small and ignorant, since they do not contain the nobility of the truth. For they hate the one in whom they are and love the one in whom they are not. For they did not know

the knowledge of the greatness that it is from above and from a fountain of truth and not from slavery and jealousy, fear, and love of worldly matter. For that which is not theirs and that which is theirs they use fearlessly and freely. They do not desire because they have authority, and they have a law from themselves over whatever they will wish. But those who have not are poor, that is, those who possess nothing, and yet they desire something. And they lead astray those who, through them, have become like those who possess the truth of their freedom, so as to bring us under a yoke and constraint of care and fear. This person is in slavery. And one who is brought by constraint of force and threat has been guarded by god. But the entire nobility of the fatherhood is not guarded, since he guards what is his own by himself, without word and constraint. He is united with his will, he who belongs only to the thought of the fatherhood, to make it perfect and ineffable through the living water, to be with you mutually in wisdom, not only in word of hearing but in deed and fulfilled word. For the perfect ones are worthy to be established in this way and to be united with me, in order that they may not share in any enmity, in a good friendship. I accomplish everything through the good one, for this is the union of the truth, that they should have no adversary. But everyone who brings division—and such a one will learn no wisdom at all because he brings division and is not a friend—is hostile to them all. But one who lives in harmony and friendship of brotherly love, naturally and not artificially, completely and not partially, this person is truly the desire of the father. This is the universal one and perfect love.”

-the Second Treatise of the Great Seth

Rulers do not Know Truth

The above quote was written thousands of years ago, so rulers who don’t know the Truth is nothing new. Of course, some rulers are very intelligent and know worldly things, worldly truth, but very few know Divine Truth. Today, however, we are seeing rulers who not only lack spiritual knowledge, but often have limited worldly knowledge as well.

Some centuries in the past, it was common practice for rulers to consult with advanced spiritual leaders so that they could maintain a balanced government that was both good on the material level and also on the spiritual level. Some governments today still have an office for a spiritual or religious leader, but the presidents and kings rarely consult them or follow their advice. When they do, it is often because the ruler chooses as the government’s religious leader someone who agrees with him most of the time.

Doctrine of a Dead Man

What Seth calls the Doctrine of a Dead Man is the laws or rules of a materialistic ruler. He is a dead man because he hasn’t awakened and developed his immortal spirit, so when he physically dies, he will be truly dead. The doctrines of such people are full of fear and slavery. Not slavery in the normal sense, but slavery in that one becomes attached to the material world that is constantly changing. Doctrines based on fear are never a good thing.

Knowledge of Greatness

The Knowledge of the Greatness from above does free us from fear and slavery. This is the Knowledge of God, of Truth, and of Wisdom. It is what the Gnostics called Gnosis and it come to those who awaken their spiritual faculties and develop them to the point where they reach the highest levels of consciousness where Heaven is and where God and the Angels of Light dwell. When we become one with that level of being, we lose all fear and are no longer slaves to capitalism or materialism. Then we join the Perfect Ones.

Going to the Light on the Wings of the Sun

“Now I make ready to go downstream to the Abode of Light, that Wisdom and Truth may be carried to the appointed place under the everlasting stars and there made secure to men in generations yet to grow up in the Light. They will be seen in generations to come.

“I shall go on the Wings of the Sun before the retinue of the Breaker of Heads. I am one acknowledged as pure of hands and shall be with those who serve under the head of the Great One.

“My name henceforth, shall be Hemnetar, and I shall not eat of fish or beans until I come to the place appointed to fit my station. I shall wear linen, and my sandals shall be made of grass, so that none shall perceive my greatness. I will hide great things within my heart, and a bridle will hold my tongue in check.

“I shall pray among the empty hearted, but my prayers will not be as theirs but as those offered in the days of our fathers, who sat in silence two hours beforehand. Now, the marks are changed by the hypocrisy of men.”

-The Kolbrin Bible (MAN:29:12-15)

Downstream to the Light

The author of this chapter of the Kolbrin Bible (the book has many authors) says he is making ready to go downstream to the Abode of Light. The Abode of Light is Heaven, so we can assume that this writer is elderly and preparing to leave the physical world of matter. It is a standard metaphor in spiritual writings to refer to the movement of Light as flowing like a river of water, so I believe the writer is saying that he will return to the Source of the Light, although that would be upstream, not down.

Generation Yet to Grow

The author seems confident that there will be future generations that “grow up in the Light”. It is possible that a few generations did grow up in the Light after this was written, but it wasn’t long before people turned more and more to the pleasures of the material realm and grew denser and denser material bodies. Fortunately for us, we have the Sun of Righteousness shining down on us now to help us all awaken to and grow up in the Light. Naturally, the forces and beings of Darkness are fighting against us, which is why we are seeing such polarization of people into those of Darkness who believe in anger, hate, greed, and bigotry as virtues, and those of Light who see Love, Wisdom, Truth, and Humility as the true virtues, as has been taught in all real religions and mystery schools throughout the ages.

On the Wings of the Sun

Even when this book was written thousands of years ago, spiritual people were careful about what they said in public or wrote in books to prevent the people of darkness from learning things they should not know. So when the author says he will travel to Heaven “on the wings of the sun,” we can interpret this as meaning that he will reach those higher levels of consciousness with the help of the Light of the Spiritual Sun.

My Name Shall be Hemnetar

It was a common practice in the past for people to choose a new name when they developed their spiritual Self. That is what I think the writer is talking about here. As for the name, “Hemnetar,” I can find no meaning for it, though It may have had one in the language of the author. Few people follow this practice today.

Wear Linen and Grass Sandals

The writer says he will wear linen and sandals made of grass so that “none will perceive my greatness”. It seems that wearing linen and grass sandals was something the poor people of that age would do. This seems to imply that the author wishes to hide his material wealth, but I think he is using this description symbolically. What he means is that he will act like the materialists around him to hide the fact that he has developed his spiritual faculties to a high degree.

Spirit is a Friend to All

spirit

“The perfect majesty is at rest in the ineffable light, in the truth of the mother of all these, and all of you that attain to me, to me alone who am perfect, because of the word. For I exist with all the greatness of the spirit, which is a friend to us and our kindred alike. Since I brought forth a word to the glory of our father, through his goodness, as well as an imperishable thought, that is, the word within him, it is slavery that we should die with Christ, with imperishable and undefiled thought. This is an incomprehensible marvel, the writing of the ineffable water, which is the word from us: I am in you and you are in me, just as the father is in you in innocence.

“Let us gather an assembly together. Let us visit that creation of his. Let us send someone forth in it, so that he may visit the thoughts in the regions below. And I said these things to the whole multitude of the great assembly of the rejoicing majesty. The whole house of the father of truth rejoiced that I am the one who is from them. I reflected upon the thoughts that came out of the undefiled spirit about the descent upon the water, that is, the regions below. And they all had a single mind, since it is from one source. They ordered me, and because I was willing, I came forth to reveal the glory to my kindred and my fellow spirits. For those who were in the world had been prepared by the will of our sister Sophia because of her innocence that has not been uttered. And she did not ask anything from the realm of all, nor from the greatness of the assembly, nor from the pleroma, when she previously came forth to prepare lodgings and places for the son of light and the fellow workers. She took materials from the elements below to build bodily dwellings from them. But having come into being in an empty glory, they ended in destruction in the dwellings in which they were. Since they were prepared by Sophia, they stand ready to receive the life-giving word of the ineffable One and the greatness of the assembly of all those who persevere and those who are in me. I visited a bodily dwelling. I cast out the one who was in it first, and I went in. And the whole multitude of the rulers became troubled. And all the matter of the rulers as well as all the powers born of the earth were shaken when they saw the likeness of the image, since it was mixed. And I was the one who was in the image, not resembling him who was in the body first. For he was an earthly man, but I, I am from above the heavens. I did not refuse them even to become Christ, but I did not reveal myself to them in the love that was coming forth from me. I revealed that I am a stranger to the regions below.

“There was a great disturbance in the whole earthly area, with confusion and flight, as well as in the plan of the rulers. And some were persuaded, when they saw the wonders that were being accomplished by me. And all those fled, those of the race that descended from the one who fled from the throne to the Sophia of hope, since she had earlier given”

-The Second Treatise of the Great Shem

The Perfect Majesty

The Perfect Majesty is God. It might be said that God is “at rest in the ineffable light.” but it is more accurate to say that God is the Light. Shem is saying that he exists within the Light of God and he is perfect because of “The Word.” Shem is apparently a Christ. It may be a reference to Jesus or to some other angelic being who came to Earth as a Christ.

Spirit is Our Friend

Shem says Spirit is “a friend to us and our kindred,” which is saying that spirit is a friend to all. You might say that Spirit cannot be a friend to murderers, despots, etc. but it is. Spirit is a friend to all because it offers all an opportunity for eternal life in the Spiritual World. Of course, those who do abhorrent things such as murder will not be able to go to Heaven, but that doesn’t change the fact that Spirit is a friend to all.

A Single Mind

The Angels of God all think alike since they all serve God. In a sense, they are all a part of God, so they are all of a single mind which is the mind of God.

Gather Together

Shem says “Let us gather an assembly together.” Some people who consider themselves spiritual disagree with that. They thing we should all develop our spiritual Self alone. While to some degree, they are correct, there is also much that can be gained by being part of a group and developing with the group. One benefit is that the members help guide each other as they develop. Another is that they can protect each other from the forces of Darkness.

Empty Glory

This part of the quote seems confusing because we generally read of Sophia (Wisdom) as a good thing, but here Shem is associating her with something that isn’t so good. He had Sophia creating material dwelling places for those who have fallen to the realm of Matter. But Shem says those dwellings were destroyed because they had no Glory in them. I think he is telling us that the things of matter are not important, and while we need them while we are in a physical body, we should avoid getting too attached to them.

The Three Sources of Law

“Because they do not know the Father of all, who was revealed by him alone who came and who knew him. It remains for us who have been counted worthy of the knowledge of both of these to provide you with an accurate explanation of the nature of the law and of the legislator by whom it was ordained. We shall draw the proofs of what we say from the words of the savior, which alone can lead us without error to the comprehension of reality. First, you must learn that the entire law contained in the Pentateuch of Moses was not ordained by one legislator, I mean, not by God alone; some commandments are Moses’, and some were given by men. The words of the Savior teach us this triple division. The first part must be attributed to God himself and his legislating, the second to Moses—not in the sense that God legislates through him, but in the sense that Moses gave some legislation under the influence of his own ideas—and the third to the elders of the people, who seem to have ordained some commandments of their own at the beginning. In some discussion with those who disputed with the savior about divorce, which was permitted in the law, he said, ‘Because of your hardheartedness Moses permitted a man to divorce his wife; from the beginning it was not so.’”

-The Letter to Flora

Three Sources of Law

If you have been in Cosolargy for some time, you are aware of the teachings of Cosolargy regarding the three sources of law, which are a little different from the three sources listed in the quote. The quote lists the three sources as God, Moses, and other humans. In Cosolargy, we see the three sources of law as God, Nature, and Man. We are also taught that God’s Law is supreme, nature’s law is second to God’s law, and man’s law is the lowest in the hierarchy.

God’s Law

God’s Law is supreme, especially for those who wish to have an immortal life in Heaven. The forces and beings of Darkness try to convince us otherwise, but they lie. Some people will have to learn this the hard way.

Natures Law

Most of us are familiar with some of the Laws of Nature. Gravity and inertia are good examples. We can create machines that allow us to overcome the Law of Gravity to some degree, but we cannot simply declare that gravity doesn’t exist and make it so. The same is true of other natural laws. Some think that the Laws of Nature are superior to the Laws of God, and even God must obey those laws. That is simply not true. God can change the Laws of Nature anytime he wants to. We should also note that the Laws of Nature apply to the physical universe only. The spiritual universe has completely different laws, and those are the Laws of God.

Man’s Law

Laws created by human agencies are the lowest level of the three, though you would not know this by the laws that humans pass. Many of Man’s Laws defy the Laws of God, yet that doesn’t really change them. We are all still obligated to live by the Laws of God. So Man can pass laws that allow killing of other people under certain circumstances, but that doesn’t change God’s Law that forbids such killing. Man can cancel the old laws that made Sunday a day dedicated to God, but that doesn’t change the reality of it. Man can pass laws allowing some people to keep others as slaves, but that doesn’t change the Law of God that forbids it.

Likewise, humans cannot pass laws that cancel or change the Laws of Nature. Men can write a law that says there will be no gravity on Friday, but that won’t change the reality. Humans could write a law that says we can live indefinitely as physical beings, but that will not change the nature of birth, growth, and death.

Hierarchy of Law

So we must all remember that there is a hierarchy of laws, and we must follow that hierarchy. God’s Law is supreme, followed by the Law of Nature, and then the Laws of Men.
