“Mysticism, Occultism and Illumination”

2013-REP-Harold_Boulette_Solar_Wind

In its essence, the whole subject under consideration is the extension of consciousness to planes of experience which are not available for the physical senses, and out of that extended experience comes the whole gamut of supernormal experience. Might we not agree, then, to denominate the whole field by the term ILLUMINISM and to subdivide it primarily into two branches—Mysticism, and Occultism? Into these two divisions it will be bound that all the different transcendental movements can be assigned as their affinities lean towards the one or the other. . . . MYSTICISM aims at the speediest possible attainment of the Divine Union of the soul with its source. In order to achieve this it eliminates all that causes separation.” ~Dion Fortune

“Actually, I think illumination applies more to mysticism than occultism, but let’s not quibble. The area that is of primary interest to us is the part Ms. Fortune calls mysticism, although the two areas do overlap at times.”

INSIGHT: Dream, Vision, and Paranormal Experience Forum: January 2014

This is your forum to share higher-level experiences in Cosolargy through the images of your dreams and visions. All postings are anonymous. Send in verbal descriptions and, if you have them, drawings or paintings.

The primary value in these postings is simply to allow others to see that people do have relevant or meaningful dreams and visions. Another value is to see if others find that the dreams and visions we post are similar or identical to their own. This is why we ask for your comments.

Dreams are communications from the unconscious mind and sometimes the higher self. Some are simply compensation for attention directed elsewhere during the day; some are indications of bodily processes, and some help us work through conflicts. Occasionally, they communicate information from higher realms and thus have more than individual value.

As Cosolargists, we are learning to navigate higher realms. Dreams are part of these higher realms. The Worlds of Light, the realm of spirit, sometimes breaks through to the psyche and gives us information. What breaks through deserves our attention and analysis. In this section of the Community Communique, we offer Community members a forum for sharing their dreams and visions for the edification of the Community and themselves.

Vision No. 1

2014-REP-lotus-position_sunrise When I began my studies in Cosolargy (some years ago), I remember receiving my fifth Academy text [Science of Generated Existence]. There was a technique involving deep light inflection in which an attitude of universal harmony with all things was the object. I went out one morning and sat down in a field waiting for the sun to rise. I sat in a lotus position, my eyes focused inward to the center of my forehead and was trying to imagine a state of being in harmony with all things. The sun came up over the horizon, and I sat there for a few minutes doing my technique and then, in a flash, I found myself in the center of the earth, in a lotus position. My body was a bluish white light encased in a sphere of colors. The earth itself had become this huge crystalline sphere, and I was in the center of it.

From the center of my being I began to expand outward toward the edges of the earth-sphere in all directions, 360 degrees. I was not, from a rational point of view, making this happen. I was not in control of the process; I was part of it. When I reached the outer edge of the earth I became aware of all the people in all the countries simultaneously. I observed them going about their various activities, and I could hear them speaking in all their different languages, and I understood them. I was not analyzing any of this; it was just coming to me in a sense of acceptance. I was overwhelmed with the sense of compassion and unity with humanity. I kept expanding past the earth out into the cosmos. It was so incredible, this experience of oneness; a merging and unity with the cosmos. I really can’t put words to it; I don’t know how. The spectacle of it all was so incredibly beautiful.

There was no guide; nobody was directing me; there was no “presence.” Then the strangest thing happened—how do I say this other than to say that I became aware of what was happening, my rational mind came into play, analyzing. At that moment I instantly found myself back in my physical body. I felt this incredible peace, my body felt weightless. When I got up and started to walk I couldn’t feel the ground beneath my feet. For days I was in another world, trying to put it all together. The experience had such a profound affect on me that it completely changed the way I viewed life, and of course myself. I tried for years to experience that again but was never able to. The memory of it is always there, though. Perhaps once is enough.

Paranormal Experience No. 1 : “Lapsense”

It is late spring, just after Pentecost Sunrise Service. Most everybody is already at the Outdoor Refectory, having their coffee, chatting, and chomping.

Two of us are lagging behind, almost there, walking up the last leg of the pathway. Both of us are silent with each other. We are listening only to the wave of conversation coming from the Refectory. It is fluttering but not particularly dense. We arrive there, in the crowd, and something very peculiar happens: I can’t understand a single word anyone is speaking. The breaks between individual words are distinguishable. The cadence and melodic forms are easy to hear, but there is no content. In fact, for about five seconds I could make out no relevance in this sound activity. Why would people be doing such a thing? It all seemed without reason. Why is this murmuring so substantial for these engagements? These are the thoughts I’m having, but they are thoughts without the use of words. Slowly the meaning of a few words in the conversations begin to have meaning, and within 10 seconds my entire language recognition returns.

What was all that? Ah, probably just a neural glitch or momentary lapse of reason.

Several months go by. It happens again. Same setting. Refectory after Sunrise. Same format of perceptual events. A year goes by. It happens again in exactly the same place, manner, and setting. Ok. This can’t be just a coincidence—never happens anywhere else and at no other time. Hmmm, maybe others have experienced this? I found one other, and it happened for them at the same location. It happened immediately after Sunrise and occurred nowhere else.

So, what is this phenomenon? (Comical comments, also welcome.)

“Introverts, Extroverts & Energy Centers”

2013-REP-Harold_Boulette_Solar_Wind

Psychologists sometimes divide men into the two extreme classes of extroverts and introverts. The extrovert is the typically active; always leaning out the window and setting up contacts with the outside world. His thinking is mainly realistic. That is to say, it deals with the data of sense. The introvert is the typical contemplative, predominantly interested in the inner world. His thinking is mainly autistic, dealing with the results of intuition and feeling, … and instinctively obedient to the mystic command to sink into the ground of the soul, … he seems able to attend to the messages which intuition picks up from other levels of being.” ~Evelyn Underhill

“What the psychologists say is reasonably true, but it isn’t that simple. Most people are not purely extroverts or purely introverts, they are somewhere between those extremes. What the psychologists don’t know is that spiritual schools can tell which category a person leans toward without even talking to them. This can be done by studying their color bodies which reveals which of their energy centers, or chakras, are strong and which are weak.”

“Mobs vs Communities”

2013-REP-Harold_Boulette_Solar_Wind

The much advertized herd instinct may weld us into a mob at the mercy of unreasonable passions; but it can also make us living members of the Communion of Saints. The appeals of the prophet and the revivalist, the Psalmist’s ‘Taste and see.’ the Baptist’s ‘Change your hearts,’ are all invitations to an alteration in the direction of desire, which would turn our instinctive energies in a new direction and began the domestication of the human soul for God.
This, then, is the real business of conversion and of the character building that succeeds it; the harnessing of instinct to idea and its direction into new and more lofty channels of use, transmuting the turmoil of man’s merely egoistic ambitions, anxieties and emotional desires into fresh forms of creative energy, and transferring their interest from narrow and unreal to universal objectives.” ~Evelyn Underhill

“We often hear stories in the news about mob behavior by a crowd or group of people. We hear of folks getting trampled to death at a Black Friday sale. We hear of people getting attacked by a mob at a soccer or football game. We hear of crowds attacking and killing a person without even knowing what offense that person committed.

“These stories often seem to imply that being part of a group is therefore inherently dangerous and evil. They seem to imply that man can only function rationally as an individual, and will automatically go insane if he becomes part of a group. But as Ms Underhill points out, there are two sides to this coin.”

“Realms of Existence and Climbing Higher”

2013-REP-Harold_Boulette_Solar_Wind

There are Three Circles of Reality, three realms, three stages of existence. They are: Heaven, where perfection visualized on Earth may be realized … it is the place where all the properly developed spiritual potential latent in man reaches maturity and fulfillment. Earth, the place of training, development and preparation, … It is here that the proper road must be wisely chosen. Then there is the Realm of the Misty Horizon, the intermediate place, the place of spirits, where those above can commune with those below and where free spirits wander within their limitation.” ~The Kolbrin Bible (CRT:7:16) (emphasis, mine)

“We have a somewhat more complex description of the structure of existence with a total of nine dimensions. The lowest dimension is the Great Void, the place where nothing can exist, spiritual or material. The second dimension is the lowest dimension where beings actually exist and it is a place of total materialism. The third dimension is where we exist as intermediate beings, both physical and spiritual. The highest dimension is the Godhead, where only God exists as a complete whole.”

“Spiritual Initiation”

2013-REP-Harold_Boulette_Solar_Wind

Spiritual Initiation

It is the aim of Initiation to bring about the illumination of the soul by the Inner Light; therefore, before embarking upon a consideration of the best means of preparation for that undertaking, it is necessary to explain what is meant by Initiation… An Initiate, therefore, is one whose Higher Self it is that looks out at us through his eyes. The personality is reduced to a set of habit-complexes of living, leaving the Higher Self free to carry on its work… No ritual confers it, though ritual may have, and in the Western Hemisphere usually is, employed in order to train consciousness in preparation for this transcendent experience. … We are often asked if it is possible to be initiated without knowing it. To this question we return an emphatic negative. … It frequently happens, however, that a Master has accepted someone as his pupil without that person being immediately aware of [his being on the path of enlightenment].” ~Dion Fortune“I’m sure many people who see this will say that initiation isn’t always spiritual in nature, but when Ms Fortune speaks of Initiation (note the capitol) she is only referring to that type of initiation. I think a better term for this might be awakening. Anther term often used is a seeker; one who is seeking for something beyond the materialistic world around him without really understanding what that something is. Or it might be someone who kind of feels something awakening in herself and wants to find out what it is.”

PATH TO LIGHT: Francine Petrovich

2013-REP-Francine_Paris Greeting card

A new soul was born on August 14, 1951 . . . a Child of Light born to the world from an infinite sea of Light, absolute reality . . . Being pure of heart, the newborn baby still resounds with the angelic music from heaven and the majesty of the divine homeland. At birth the eternal cycle of life is broken, creating a new style of living. The Child of Earth observes the unknown reality with radiance and luminosity in her eyes and she hears the silence from the ultimate harmony of the universe.

For many centuries everyone has been able to start the story of their personal journey by the inoffensive beginning “Once upon a time” . . . there was a little blond girl born in Québec, Canada, from a working-class family that used all its energy and effort to sustain a level of comfort and dignity for the needs of five children. At the age of three, she began to spend her summertime with her grandparents on farmland near the Saint Lawrence River. Being the first grandchild, she was adored by everyone and received much praise, as if she had a special gift that the family could not explain.

This part of Québec—flat, peaceful, and serene—awakened in her the troubled recognition that what she saw and felt could not be the answer to the mysterious energy moving within her . . . seeking secretly the spiritual meaning of life. The harmonious environment taught her how to appreciate the beauties of nature, to have a sense of union with the creative forces of the universe, and to regenerate herself with love and benevolence to reflect back to all the people surrounding her. At her young age, love expressed a feeling of unity and control, and it seemed to be the key to the Big Question . . . and the road to ecstasy . . . . Love without guidance toward an end is like a sailboat without rudder and compass.

In the land of Québec the Catholic religion had powerful authority, instructing through liturgy and reading texts illustrated with symbols, images, and myths. The heart and the mind of the naive girl interpreted these with her own ability and limitations to understand that God exists within every living creature and that she had to be clear of any sin and to reach perfection with her own will. How to connect the earthly heart and the heavenly heart? The true meaning of life became an ecclesiastical mystery.

Life brought to her every opportunity like a mirage, creating an illusion of happiness—”petit bonheur”—life shining like a fake gem, and brought her the urge to be part of everything that moves her. She sought recognition, which she hoped might lead her to the emergence of her Self. But deep inside there was always sadness, emptiness, meaninglessness that remained silent—suffocated in the heart of the little girl becoming now a young woman. Any major realization left her at the top of Mount Everest . . . Voil ! . . . That is it! . . . Always the same turmoil in the heart of the dormant soul. Why is the human soul never at peace? There has to be more than being born, living intensely, burning vital energy, and dying without understanding the secret laws of the universe and the potential power in all of us. Being educated under the influence of the European French, she was haunted by existential questions that had no answers in the material world, and they could have made her sink into the darkness of her own limited intellect.

Love, tenderness, tolerance, and compassion were her bouée de sauvetage (“life preserver”). Family and friends carved deep memories into her that will live forever. Learning to distinguish between the true expression of love and the guilt of not loving enough distressed the life of the young woman, who tried to calm herself with good intentions but false understanding of what life is all about, what power is behind existence, and what is true communion with God.

Suddenly the energy of life placed some signs in front of her. Her reasoning no longer operated normally. She made drastic changes in her life, and she lost the appearance of control and the comfortable environment toward which she had dedicated her energy. Surprisingly, her heart started singing and felt light, energetic, and creative with a drive she had never felt before. All of her past was reduced to a fraction of its importance, and she rushed to reach the unknown . . . eternity . . . the light at the end of the tunnel.

Being stamped since birth with a divine energy, the mature French woman learned that the possibility of being born again unveiled the path of Light and inspired her with a new way of living. The heart of the little girl could shine like a living Sun in the World of Light.

* * * *

The French woman from Québec experienced various major changes in her life, but each time she had no answer to the mysteries of life and the laws of the universe. Destiny led her to the desert lands of Nevada and a drastic culture shock (different language and religion, separation from family, etc.). Yet it was the most uplifting time of her life. It gave meaning to her life. The connection with the infinite creative forces of the universe brought nourishment to her soul, a magical language with Divine Energy. She felt surrounded with grace and a great fountain of joy provided her with strength and vitality to adjust herself to her new lifestyle. Being part of a Community of Light provided her with a loving, universal extended family. The love offered with sincerity from all the members of the Community of Light balanced and defined the notion of Love and developed in her a different perspective, a sense of unity, a new sense of reality. The transfer of love to a higher frame of mind vibrated in her an experience of liberation, a detachment, a pursuit of devotion and a connection with infinite wisdom.

The spiritual school of learning instructed her step-by-step in the dual glories of human life and demonstrated to her how to connect the earthy heart with the heavenly heart. This was the most precious hidden treasure that she could recognize: without awakening the supranatural power that was programmed into her from birth, that spiritual ecstasy might be dormant forever and never express the Supreme Self who is eternally at peace . . . the Hymn of Pure Love.

The ultimate art of self-development, to harmonize with the radiant energy of the Universal forces, implanted in her a seed, the new birth in the heart of creation that fused man between two worlds. The experience of that profound realization calmed the heart of the French woman like a Divine Presence and opened up the realm of eternity. The harmonious way of living guided her to live in a different reality. Silence, the act of listening, became her favorite companion and allowed her to penetrate to purity of the Self.

I write this to all the people that I love and will always love. How could I love you more, with an eternal love that never dies?

“Creativity and Innovation”

2013-REP-Harold_Boulette_Solar_Wind

Creativity, like the wind, has a will of its own and is hard to predict. Over time, my creative impulses became overpowering. While it was necessary for me to control my creative urges in training as a monk, I later realized that creativity is a divine quality I can use to bring myself and others closer to the experience of God.” ~Russill Paul

“Creativity is indeed a divine gift, but like most gifts it has a negative as well as a positive side. In short, you can say there is true creativity and false creativity. True creativity comes from Divine inspiration, false creativity comes from the human mind simply combining various known things to create something that is only superficially new, and may be harmful.”

“Achieving Transformation”

2013-REP-Harold_Boulette_Solar_Wind

To achieve transformation, you first have to make a profound shift in the way you know things. How you make your world real to yourself must undergo deep revision. You can’t just keep processing data the way you’re doing it now—with an almost desperate need for speed. You need a new methodology that lets you naturally and effortlessly jump into expanded perception. This transformation shift, or leap of perception, requires new pathways through your brain, new habits of sensing and knowing, and seeing that your ‘brain’ actually included your heart, body, cells, and even the field of energy around you.” ~Penney Peirce

“I recently used a quote from Albert Einstein about how you need to rise above a problem, and the type of thinking that created the problem, in order to solve it. In order for the caterpillar to become a butterfly, it must stop thinking like a caterpillar, spin a cocoon, and then slowly transform. When that transformation is complete, there is very little left of what was the caterpillar. The butterfly doesn’t move like a caterpillar, doesn’t eat like a caterpillar, doesn’t look like a caterpillar, doesn’t think like a caterpillar. It has transformed.”

“PATH TO LIGHT: Robert Roy”

Thoughts presented at University of Reno, Nevada, 2013 Conference on the Spiritual State of the World, “Awakening Your Light.”

How does one sum up a lifetime of learning in 10 minutes? It’s not really possible. I have read many books by many great authors, visited and experienced the minds of many knowledgeable teachers in over sixty countries and found their spiritual knowledge to be severely lacking in great spiritual truth and, at times, even somewhat boring—like tasting sixty different types of vanilla ice cream and realizing that there must be more than vanilla out there.

Now I make that statement as a student of life and the humble son of Doreen Roy, a woman of simple birth in the land of New Brunswick, Canada, who brought nine children into the world and still had time to heal many around her. What she had, different from most people, was, I would call, a knowing. She was our mother, our teacher, our healer, as we never went to doctors. She preferred using herbs from her garden to keep our health perfect along with the most gentle love a mother could give. She never had ambitions to write about this gift that she was blessed with, never wanted to teach, instead she put this gift to work every day helping others—with childbirth or with sick children, in a way we call holistic healing today. Our religious background was Roman Catholic, and at the enlightened age of six, I told my parents that I would no longer attend Sunday Mass at our church, and when asked why, I told them simply that God was not there.

After I left home and started my world travels at the age of nineteen, I spent the next twenty years trying to understand this gift my mother had. It was not psychic ability or a mental attribute but best described after all these years as, simply, a Blessing. My travels at one point landed me in Europe with a family of my own still trying to unravel the secrets of what is Spiritual and how to experience perfect health without effort. Fate brought me a magazine with an interesting story of a Community of Mystics in Reno, Nevada, who were bringing forth new teachings using an ancient system. I ordered three of their books, and they arrived just before my departure for India.

The books were fascinating, I had never encountered or experienced information of this nature, along with techniques that were truly new to this world of ours. I spent three months in India, which gave me ample time to experience this new system and apply the techniques outlined in the study portion of the books. By the time I returned home to Europe something had changed inside me; I looked at the world around me in a different way.

I started my correspondence studies with the International Community of Cosolargy with the knowledge that my destiny was with this school and these new teachings. Within two years I was on my way to Reno and a new life. My first meeting with the Man who was to be my Teacher for the next twenty-seven years was a very powerful moment indeed. My mother’s aura came to mind, but this Man’s presence was a millionfold greater in every sense. The knowing, that had been passed from my mother to me, helped me understand that I was in the presence of a true Spiritual Teacher and envoy of God.

My spiritual studies started along with an urge to Heal, as the illnesses I saw around me in society seemed simple to remedy, yet people still suffered from these illnesses due to a lack of knowledge and guidance. With the International Community of Cosolargy I learned that although the body suffers needlessly from illness, the cause is situated deeper within consciousness. I followed this cause through the mind into consciousness itself. Now when I speak of consciousness in this context, I do not mean Spiritual Consciousness but more of what in Cosolargy we call 4th-dimensional consciousness—what we know as the psychic realm, a very complicated realm indeed.

Trauma and mental illness seems to affect this psychic consciousness by impression and in time will, by gifting an elevated psychic level to the individual, steer the person into a belief system based on the original experience of the trauma or mental illness. For example, if a person is religious and has a strong belief in the Virgin Mary, and this person suffers a difficult trauma, he or she could in time start to experience visions or communications with an illusion of the Virgin Mary, emanating from psychic consciousness, and with an elevated psychic level could even perform minor healings. Quite harmless until other people start to believe that this person actually communicates with the Virgin Mary. These traumas or mental illnesses can come from a near-death experience or from losing a family member or from being in a car accident.

The positive side of psychic consciousness is that it can be trained to work for you in a constructive way. When I started my studies in Reno in 1980 after leaving Europe and my own serious trauma, I had to work hard to retrain my thoughts with positive affirmations; otherwise, I knew that a serious illness would befall me. At that time I thought I was programming my mind, but later on, with study, I learned that I had been influencing my psychic consciousness in a positive way. As an example, one of my daily mantras was simply that “illness does not exist,” and to that effect I have not suffered any type of illness in over thirty years. (Now, of course, some of my friends may argue that I may have left out mental illness in that assessment!)

Now, Spiritual Consciousness, not recognized or understood by the lower psychic or mental consciousness, has not been experienced on this earth since the great masters such as Jesus or Buddha and, more recently, one more Enlightened Being, whom I will touch upon later. Spiritual Consciousness is from a Realm of Light far removed from this physical dimension and absolutely not concerned or interested with us in this lower realm of existence, unless we, through a system of Spiritual Healing, can reach out to this realm of Light and appeal to this Light to Heal us of our false beliefs and attachments to this false reality we live in. The International Community of Cosolargy has been given the means, the Spiritual Formula, if you will, to Heal our false sense of reality. The Community, using an ancient Spiritual technique, can teach students to view and experience the Spiritual Sun, which can open an individual to the incredible power of LOVE, only experienced by great teachers of time past. We are as sleepwalkers bouncing off the dreams of the many around us who continue to amaze and dazzle us with new inventions, new lower forms of healing, or the teachings of this or that guru. I, personally, want to wake up completely from this dreamworld. I seek only the One True God. I want to BE like Jesus; I want to BE like Buddha. I want to see and experience what they experienced. I want to walk through that Cosmic door into a higher, eternal life. I believe this was the message that every enlightened teacher brought to this world and that was only understood by a few.

I would like to leave you with a story concerning the time we are in. Many years ago I had the opportunity to read the books Power vs. Force and The Eye of the I and other material by Dr. David R. Hawkins, an interesting compilation of tests and experiments in Applied Kinesology. Dr. Hawkins had done over a million sessions with Applied Kinesology all over the globe. The sessions that formed the basis of his writings involved working with small groups of people in his office to working with large auditoriums of thousands of people at a time. He devised a method whereby, on a scale of 1 to 1000, he rated historical personages, using Applied Kinesology according to the power of their existence on this earth, or if you will, the impression they manifested while in this dimension. The part of this experiment that caught my eye was his statement that when enlightened people were on Earth the consciousness of society (people living on Earth) was raised by that enlightened person. The greater the person, the greater society benefited. He pointed to Jesus as one who had the greatest effect on society by His Presence. I believe he mentioned a rise of 25 points on his grand scale of 1000 points for society while Jesus was among us. Then he made a statement that I found most interesting. He stated that he had only recorded one other time in the last two thousand years when there was a similar rise in the consciousness of society, and that was in the year 1960. Now he states that he did not know what happened in the world at that time to create this rise in consciousness, but I felt that I knew the answer. We, in The Community believe that a Christ Being was born into this world at that time. This recognition has been the bedrock of our Community since that time. There isn’t time for me to say more on this personage, but there is more on Him in our study material. The Community also has a system of Healing using Color therapy, Sound therapy, and of course the Spiritual techniques relating to the Sun. Enough to fill a lifetime, for anyone, with treasures from a Higher realm of Truth.

Well, this ten minutes is a “blink of an eye” in my life, but I have enjoyed sharing these thoughts with you and thank you for your kind attention, God Bless you all.
