“Kismet: Some Things are Meant to Be”

– Does that make us passive participants?

It’s only natural that when we consider our providence, our karma, our rights and obligations, we think primarily of ourselves. Nevertheless, we are all part of a much greater collective destiny: that of our community or society, of our nation, our race, our planet. The New Humans have already started emerging in the world and many of us believe a raising of the planetary frequency is imminent. Whether or not a noticeable change occurs on 21 December this year, there are questions we need to ask ourselves.

The coming change in the human condition is something we ought to be approaching with a sense of purposeful participation, not as helpless subjects. If we expect that all that’s needed is to be present at a particular place and time to be a beneficiary of a higher incoming frequency of existence, we are likely to experience disappointment and rejection.

My questions to you are:
Do you agree the world is on the threshold of a grand re-set?
Have you become aware of the emergence of New Humans on planet Earth?
Do you feel you will be part of the ascension to a higher frequency – and, if so –
Do you believe you need to be pro-active, or do you see the change as just meant to be?

“Divine Word of God”

Johannes Tritheim, an abbot and alchemist, whose writings are plainer and more comprehensive than any other alchemical book, says:

‘All things have been made by the power of the divine word, which is the divine spirit or breath that emanated from the divine fountain in the beginning. This breath is the spirit or soul of the world, and is called the “spiritus mundi.” It was at first like air, and contracted into a fog or nebular substance, and afterward became “water” (Akasa). This “water” was at first all spirit and life, because it was permeated by and made alive by the spirit. It was dark in the depths; but through the outspoken word the light became generated therin, and then the darkness was illumined by the light, and the “soul of the world” (the astral light) had its beginning. This spiritual light, which we call “Nature,” or the soul of the world, is a spiritual body, which, by means of Alchemy, can be made tangible and visible; but as it exists in an invisible state, therefore it is called “spirit.”’”. ~Franz Hartmann

Divine Word

The idea of the Divine Word that comes from God is a very misunderstood concept. Too many people, thinking in human terms, and seeing God in the typical image of an old man with a long beard, think of God’s Word as speech coming out of that old man’s mouth. But God is not human, not material, and doesn’t look at all like a physical human. He is a spirit and has no mouth to speak with. His word is thought, not speech. So it is accurate to say that this word created the world and “all things” in it.

“Brightness of the Sun Brings Enlightenment”

“According to the measure in which the air is irradiated by the brightness of the sun, so too the heat increases and brings al things to fruitfulness. When our reason and understanding are so enlightened, that they can recognize and distinguish Divine Truth, then the will, that is, the power of love, grows hotter and streams forth in abundant loyalty and love towards all men in common. For this gift, through the knowledge of truth which is imparted to us in its light, establishes in us a wide stretching love toward all in common. Now the most simple are also the most tranquil, and have the most peace to themselves; and are the most deeply immersed in God; and are most enlightened in understanding, and most fruitful in good works, and in outflowing love towards all in common. And they are hindered least, for they are most like unto God; for God is simplicity in His Being, clarity in His understanding, and outflowing and universal love in His works. And the more you are like unto God in these three things, so much the more closely are we united with Him. Fr this reason we must remain simple in our ground, and must apprehend all things by means of enlightened reason, and … universal love.” ~John of Ruysbroeck

Brightness of the Sun

When we speak of the brightness of the sun, we have to understand that there are two suns. There is the material sun and the Spiritual Sun. When a spiritual teacher, spiritual master, or guru speaks of the sun, it is most likely the Spiritual Sun that is meant. There are two reasons why they didn’t just say that. One is that they don’t want the uninitiated to understand as such power can be very dangerous in the hands of such people. Two, they didn’t want the authorities to know what they were talking about as it might be considered heresy.

“Find Meaning in Life, Find Meaning in Living”

“The ability to seek and find meaning in life is based more than anything on the capacity to hold paradox and maintain an unblushing cognitive dissonance. The objective world and the subjective world lie one atop the other. Spiritual causality and immediate causality are often different yet occupy the same space, and so truth may be less a matter of either/or than both/and. …

“Consider the Zen practice of the koan, the question or problem posed by Zen masters to each other or by masters to students. The koan is a dilemma, a mystery which the rational mind cannot solve. By frustrating and thwarting our usual strategies of obtaining answers, knowing and understanding, it causes us to begin anew. The key to the resolution of a koan is a shift in the being of the student which allows for a new understanding of the question itself.

“In presenting a koan, the teacher engages the student with mystery in a highly personal way. The student becomes intimate with the question, and sometimes struggles with it for a long time. At first Zen students respond to the mystery much as we all do: with frustration, with outrageous pride, with a sense of unfairness and victimhood, with self-pity, even with anger towards the teacher. None of this works. Having exhausted all these ways, we can begin to find the capacity for other ways and these new ways begin to change us.” ~Rachel Naomi Remen

Seek and Find Meaning

We may not realize it, but seeking to find meaning in things is one of the earliest things we do. Soon after we are born our mind starts trying to learn and identify the things and beings around us. But trying to find meaning in life is a bit more complex. To start with, it is not always clear what life is. And if you can’t clearly identify what life is, it is even more difficult to find meaning in life. You might think that spiritual people do not have that problem, yet I see that very question being asked frequently in spiritual groups on social media.

“Divine Man and Woman Must be Awakened”

“O people of the earth, man born and made of the elements, but with the spirit of the Divine Man within you, rise from your sleep and ignorance! Be sober and thoughtful. Realize that your home is not in the earth but in the Light. Why have you delivered yourselves over unto death, having power to partake of immortality? Repent, and change your minds. Depart from the dark light and forsake corruption forever. Prepare yourselves to climb through the Seven Rings and to blend your souls with the eternal Light. …

“The sleep of the body is the sober watchfulness of the mind and the shutting of my eyes reveals the true Light. My silence is filled with budding life and hope, and is full of good. My words are the blossoms of fruit of the tree of my soul. For this is the faithful account of what I received from my true Mind, that is Poimanders, the Great Dragon, the Lord of the Word, through whom I became inspired by God with the Truth. … I give blessings unto God the Father, the Life and the Light, and the Eternal Good.” ~Hermes

Divine Man in a Hypnotic Trance

Some people think that man is always a Divine Being, but he isn’t. Material Man, Physical Man, is a product of the Great Fall, a creation of the Demiurge, and therefore not Divine. Only Man’s spirit and soul are divine, not his body and mind. But this Divine Spirit is asleep, in a hypnotic trance of a sort when we come into the world of matter. It isn’t truly functional here until it is awakened and made conscious. This is the true meaning of a spiritual awakening. Simply recognizing that materialism is a failed paradigm and there is more to life than having a job and making money is a good first step, but that alone isn’t what the ancient masters meant by being awakened. Only bringing the Divine Spirit and Soul into consciousness is a real spiritual awakening. We awaken those spiritual faculties with the use of Spiritual Light, Divine Light that comes from God. That Divine Light reaches Divine Man through the Spiritual Sun which acts as a portal between heaven and earth.

“Life on Venus: Not So Farfetched”

In my last blog I mentioned the vagueness of human history further back than 10,000 years before present. Early this week I was inspired to write about Venus, after being reminded how the proponents of the Electric Universe theory refer to the “birth of Venus” 10,000 years ago. The news today that scientists now acknowledge there might be life (according to their definition of life) on our sister planet, adds an interesting twist to the story.

The announcement on the scientific front was made by the Royal Astronomical Society in a press conference on Monday, following the discovery of phosphine on Venus. The gas is considered a ‘key biosignature,’ and the astrobiology community concede its presence in the Venusian clouds may indicate the presence of ‘aerial’ life high in the planet’s skies.

“Path to Immortality is Hard to Find and Difficult”

“The Path to Immortality is hard, and only a few find it. The rest await the Great Day when the wheels of the universe shall be stopped and the immortal sparks shall escape from the sheaths of substance. Woe unto those who wait, for they must return again, unconscious and unknowing, to the seed ground of stars, and await a new beginning. Those who are saved by the light of the mystery which I have revealed unto you, O Hermes, and which I now bid you to establish among men, shall return again to the father who dwelleth in the White Light, and shall deliver themselves up to the Light and shall be absorbed into the Light, and in the Light they shall becomes Powers in God. This is the way of Good and is revealed only to them that have wisdom.

“Blessed art thou, O Son of Light, to whom of all men, I, Poimandres, the Light of the world, have revealed myself. I order you to go forth, to become as a guide to those who wander in darkness, that all men within who dwells the spirit of My Mind (The Universal Mind) may be saved by My Mind in you, which shall call forth My Mind in them. Establish my Mysteries and they shall not fail from the earth.” ~Manly P. Hall

Path to Immortality

Considering how much time and money people spend on various products and methods to slow down the process of aging, you would think they would be pursuing immortality by the millions. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case, at least not in any real sense. Yes, there are many millions of people who belong to churches that tell them they have joined the immortals just by joining that church. Now there are also many spiritual groups and schools that teach the same nonsense. “We are all immortal,” they claim. While they are not entirely wrong, they are not correct in this teaching either.

The basic idea of such a philosophy is that we need to make no effort whatsoever to become an immortal. If that were true, the great mystery schools of the past would never have existed. Why be moral, why be loving, why be kind, if everyone will achieve immortality anyway? But as already said, this is simply not true.

“Clavis: An Interpretive Key to the Creation Story”

The following article is taken from the introduction to the new Australian Esoteric Magazine (see the foot of the page for a link to it). The issue covers the theme of events that are anticipated by many to take place in December 2020. Underpinning the prophecy is the hypothesis that we humans are not merely the product of chance, but rather the result of intervention(s) by more advanced intelligent beings. Drawing on all the relevant sources, here is how I summarise the historical background to the condition of the modern human today.

Prior to 40,000 years ago there were Neanderthals and Cro-Magnons coexisting in Europe. Today, all humans are classified academically as being modern Homo Sapiens-Sapiens. We know a lot about human history going back 2,500 years because it has been documented. Then we have stories, artefacts and buildings going back to 5,500 years ago; beyond that is commonly called ‘prehistory’ and things get a little hazy.

“Eagle and Phoenix, Material and Spiritual”

“Among the Greeks and Romans, the eagle was the appointed bird of Jupiter and consequently signified the swiftly moving forces of the Demiurge, hence it was looked upon as the mundane lord of the birds, in contradiction to the phoenix, which was symbolic of the celestial ruler.

“The eagle typified the sun in its material phase and also the immutable Demiurgic law beneath which all mortal creatures must bend. The eagle was also the Hermetic symbol of sulfur, and signified the mysterious fire of Scorpio—the most profoundly significant sign of the zodiac and the Gate of the Great Mystery. Being one of the three symbols of Scorpio, the eagle, like the Goat of Mendes, was an emblem of the theurgic art and the secret processes by which the infernal fire of the scorpion was transmuted into the spiritual light-fire of the gods.

“Among certain American Indian tribes the thunderbird is held in particular esteem. This divine creature is said to live above the clouds, the flapping of its wings causes the rumbling which accompanies storms, while the flashes from its eyes are the lightning.” ~Manly P. Hall

Eagle Symbology

I had never heard before reading the above quote that the eagle was considered to represent the Demiurge. Having read that, however, it does make sense. The eagle is to many the king of the birds, but this is in a material sense, not spiritual. After all, eagles are raptors, birds of prey. They do not live on berries and nuts, they certainly don’t love on light. They are meat-eaters. That makes them among the most materialistic of birds. So since the Demiurge is the Lord of Matter, they represent that being.

The eagle is a symbol of strength, courage, and leadership. Some say that seeing an eagle is a symbol that you are soon to have a spiritual experience or encounter with a spiritual being. That seems to contradict what Hall says above, but such opposite in symbolism is not unusual.

“Silent Song for the Mind and the Soul”

Sing a Silent Song

“’I am silent, father. I want to sing a song to you while I am silent.’
“’Sing it. I am mind.’
“’I understand mind, Hermes. You cannot be known, since you stay in yourself. I am happy, father. I see you laughing. The universe is happy. No creature will lack your life, for you are the lord of the inhabitants everywhere. Your forethought keeps watch. I call you father, eternal realm of eternal realms, great divine spirit, who through spirit sends moisture on everyone. What do you tell me, father Hermes?’
“’Child, I say nothing about this. It is right before God for us to be silent about what is hidden.’
“’Trismegistos, don’t let my soul be deprived of the great, divine vision. Everything is possible for you as master of the universe.’
“ ‘Praise again, child, and sing while you are silent. Ask what you want in silence.’
“When he finished praising, he called out, ‘Father Trismegistos, what shall I say? We have received this light, and I myself see this same vision in you. I see the eighth, and the souls in it, and the angels singing a song to the ninth and its powers. I see the one with the power of them all, creating those in the spirit.’ ‘From now on it is good for us to remain silent, with head bowed.
“’From now on do not speak about the vision. It is fitting to sing a song to the father till the day of leaving the body.’ ‘What you sing, father, I also want to sing.’
“’I am singing a song in myself. While you rest, praise. You have found what you seek.’ ‘But is it right, father, for me to praise when my heart is filled?’
“’What is right is for you to sing praise to God so it may be written in this imperishable book.’
“’I shall offer up the praise in my heart as I invoke the end of the universe and the beginning of the beginning, the God of the human quest, the immortal discovery, the producer of light and truth, the sower of reason, the love of immortal life.’” ~The Discourse on the Eighth and the Ninth: Nag Hammadi Library

A Silent Song

How can anyone sing a silent song? As Hermes indicates, you sing it in your mind. We all do sing silent songs. We hear an old favorite on the radio and we mentally sing it for hours after. Or sometimes a song just pops into our head and we can’t help mentally singing it for a while. And there are times when this is the best way to sing a song.
First, we have to notice that Hermes’ definition of a song seems to be somewhat more general than that of most people today. It seems that chanting, humming, or even talking mentally would qualify as a silent song to him. And that is probably as it should be.
Sometimes, we find it difficult to find the time to practice spiritual techniques, affirmations, meditations, prayers, and so on. But if we can do it silently, that makes it much easier. When we are on a train, bus, or car heading for work, we can sing the song in our mind as we go. If we are practicing sun gazing, but other people get too close, we can chant a silent song rather than verbalizing it.
