NASA’s EUNIS sounding rocket examined light from the sun in the area shown by the white line (imposed over an image of the sun from NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory) then separated the light into various wavelengths (as shown in the lined images – spectra – on the right and left) to identify the temperature of material observed on the sun. The spectra provided evidence to explain why the sun’s atmosphere is so much hotter than its surface.

One of science’s greatest challenges is learning about the origin of life and its precursor molecules.

Complex organic molecules such as formamide, from which sugars, amino acids and even nucleic acids essential for life can be made, have been found to appear in the regions where stars similar to our Sun are born.

US director Joseph Sikorski’s Tower To The People, a new documentary about Nikola Tesla, had its European premiere on April 6, 2015 at the Sava Centar in Belgrade.

The documentary is about Tesla’s dream of sending free wireless energy from a mysterious tower at the Wardencliff laboratory on Long Island. The film premiered in October 2014 at the New Yorker Hotel, where Tesla held his annual birthday press conferences for many years and where he died in 1943.

The film features materials obtained from the Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade and the Wardencliff Project, including previously unseen photographs, and music written by Emmy-nominated composer Marina Arsenijevic.

A press conference on March 31st was attended by Tesla’s nephew William Terbo, the sole living relative of the great scientist.

The screening of the film was organized by Toronto-based Tesla Magazine with assistance from the Belgrade city Secretariat for Culture and the Nikola Tesla Museum, and the event was held under the auspices of Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic.

Swarm satellite (ESA) measurements made the last 6 months show a dramatic decline over North and South America with a strengthening of the Earth’s magnetic field over the southern Indian Ocean. Magnetic north continues to move towards Siberia where a large magma rise under the crust has been occurring for the past several decades. “December 18, 2014 Berkeley, California – 786,000 years ago, iron atoms in Earth’s liquid outer core began switching their orientation in opposition to the existing Earth magnetic field. What causes iron atoms to act like tiny magnets that revolt against the planetary magnetic field is not understood. “A 1,500-year-old book that contains a previously unknown gospel has been deciphered. The ancient manuscript may have been used to provide guidance or encouragement to people seeking help for their problems, according to a researcher who has studied the text.

“Written in Coptic, an Egyptian language, the opening reads (in translation):

‘The Gospel of the lots of Mary, the mother of the Lord Jesus Christ, she to whom Gabriel the Archangel brought the good news. He who will go forward with his whole heart will obtain what he seeks. Only do not be of two minds.’

“Anne Marie Luijendijk, a professor of religion at Princeton University, discovered that this newfound gospel is like no other. ‘When I began deciphering the manuscript and encountered the word ‘gospel’ in the opening line, I expected to read a narrative about the life and death of Jesus as the canonical gospels present, or a collection of sayings similar to the Gospel of Thomas (a non-canonical text),’ she wrote in her book Forbidden Oracles? The Gospel of the Lots of Mary (Mohr Siebeck, 2014).

“What she found instead was a series of 37 oracles, written vaguely, and with only a few that mention Jesus.”
