“Broken mastodon bones hint that Homo sapiens wasn’t the first hominin to get to the New World.”

Many scientists hold the view that homo sapiens came to the Americas less than 20,000 years ago, but ancient rock and bone fragments discovered in southern California suggest humans may have been around more than 100,000 years earlier than originally believed. The controversial claim, outlined in a study published April 26 2017 in the journal Nature, could mean humans settled in North America much earlier than most scientists accept. The article also includes a nice video where some pros and cons of the discovery are discussed.

“Earth’s electromagnetic field does not originate from a single source. Instead different areas generate greater or lesser fluctuating electromagnetism—exactly how it changes is not known. Swarm analyzes differences in the time signatures among the satellites, as well as electromagnetic flux density surrounding Earth’s fields, in order to determine what factors influence those changing fields.

“So far, Swarm data indicates that ocean water forms an electric current that, in turn, induces electromagnetic feedback in the mantle, a region between 30 kilometers deep under the continents and 5 kilometers below the ocean floor. Although the effect is small, it contributes to Earth’s overall intrinsic fields. An important note is that the electric charge flow is induced by coupling with the magnetosphere.”

“ 2012 US National Medal of Science award winner Yakir Aharonov, who is regarded as one of the world’s leading quantum theorists published a paper in Nature Physics showing that the present is constrained by the past and the future. This means that what happens in the present can depend on what happened in the future, which makes no sense, as quantum physics rarely does. It also means that what happened in the past can effect the present. Seems strange, doesn’t it? It’s definitely something hard to wrap your head around.

A group of international neuroscientists and robotics engineers have discovered for the first time that human brains can indeed “talk” directly to one another, even from thousands of miles away.
“A brain-to-brain communication study conducted in coordination with Harvard Medical School has proven that extrasensory mind-to mind interaction can happen over great distances by leveraging different pathways in the mind.

“The study, coauthored by Alvaro Pascual-Leone, Director of the Berenson-Allen Center for Noninvasive Brain Stimulation at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and a Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School, found that information can be successfully transmitted between two intact human brains from distances over 5000 miles apart.

“The researchers were curious if one could communicate directly with another person, and tested their hypothesis by reading the brain activity from one person injecting brain activity into the second individual. You could call it a neuro-physical version of ‘instant messaging.’ ”

NASA’s photonic propulsion will make it possible to travel to Mars in three days. Instead of six months, NASA researchers are crafting a new laser technology known as photonic propulsion, which will propel a giant sail to Mars in as little as three days.
“NASA’s photonic propulsion could permit Mars travel in three days instead of six months. Researchers working for NASA are pleased to announce that after landing on the moon, they now have their sight on Mars, and they might have invented a new technology that could make it possible to accomplish this goal.

“A group of physicists in California have created what is called photonic propulsion, which is a laser technology harnessing the power of light. According to the experts, photonic propulsion is a technique that uses light from lasers to produce “thrust to drive spacecraft” and will, therefore, make it possible to get to Mars at much faster speeds.”

“Astronomers have for the first time captured visual evidence of the existence of tubular plasma structures in the inner layers of the magnetosphere surrounding the Earth.

“‘For over 60 years, scientists believed these structures existed but by imaging them for the first time, we’ve provided visual evidence that they are really there,’ Cleo Loi of the ARC Centre of Excellence for All-sky Astrophysics (CAASTRO) and the School of Physics at the University of Sydney said.”

A short article in the news about electricity, and phosphenes, reminded one Academy Consociate of what she had been reading in THE COSOLARGY PAPERS:
“There is a term for the little glowing shapes that temporarily appear when you rub your eyes or bang your head — phosphenes. In the 1930s, a German scientist found ways to make them appear via the use of electricity, and later the use of drugs.”
