The doctrines contained in The Community’s Sacred Writings are revelations given for the spiritual evolution of humanity. We, as Cosolargists/Jamilians/Second Adventists, should understand and acknowledge that the primary reason for The School’s existence is to instruct and educate every person who is training with the means by which each can individually and collectively assist God and the Light to transform the world by means of generative energy. If the fundamentals are not clearly understood, then the person will not evolve in a spiritual manner and, by becoming involved with generative energy, may work a harm in the cosmos by directing improper energy back to the Sun.

The Fundamentals, being elementary principles of the System of Cosolargy, are thirty-three in number. I would like to take the next few weeks to go over them with you. They are arranged in proper order. Commentary on each of them is found within the Oral Teachings given through the Sacred College of Jamilian Theology.

FIRST: God is Spirit and exists in a dimension removed from the material universe, thought the two are interrelated.

SECOND: Spiritual dimensions are immortal, whereas material dimensions are mortal – the latter having devolved out of the former.

THIRD: Man was made in the Image of God at His First Appearance (the First Advent) and degenerated into a material being due to error.

FOURTH: In order to regain his original spiritual nature in which he was created, Man must experience a regeneration of spiritual being with the aid of God.

FIFTH: Spiritual birth is an act of regeneration made possible by the seminal impregnation of God’s Love and Light in Man’s Spirit which receives it.

SIXTH: Once reborn in Spirit, the being that emerges is called the Soul which exists under spiritual Laws.

SEVENTH: The means by which Man is reborn and made in the original Image of God is not a matter of faith, devotion or belief as taught by existing religions; it is one that is realized solely by rebirth of Spirit, the most fundamental teaching of Jesus who was an instrument of God sent into the world as an act of His Will.

EIGHTH: God has appeared in the world for the Second Time to restore Man and the material universe to the original state of Spirit.

NINTH: The Word of God, being His Thought and Will, is presently manifest in the Sun of Righteousness.

TENTH: This Divine Presence in the spiritual Sun is a redeeming force which makes God intelligible to Man.

ELEVENTH: Because Man’s salvation is dependent upon God and God alone, this Divine Presence constitutes a Heavenly Christ that fulfills the promise of all human Saviors, Holy Prophets, Sacred Scripture and the founders of all religions.

Second Advent Easter

Today, we in the Second Advent Community observe Easter. We met the rising sun with sunrise divine service at the Red Rock Consecrated Sanctuary this morning. Easter is a time of renewal and reflection and symbolizes spiritual rebirth. Communion with God begins here on Earth, for God’s Plan for the renewal and renovation of the Creation cannot be fulfilled without the unified Community and those disciplined who teach, preserve and live the revealed and sacred Teachings of Light – a teaching which has been practiced and handed down throughout the centuries and restored in our modern times for those special and appointed individuals who choose to live the Way of Light. Those who are servants of God and the Light will receive the Gift of God, which is a blessing He bestows on those who assist Him in His Divine Plan. God reveals Himself to those in Light, and those who are resurrected to Light by means of Light during this life dwell with Him forever.

I would like to present to you these beautiful lines from the Gnostic Gospel of Phillip. I love these words because I believe they describe the resurrection of the Spirit so well and embody the spiritual message not only of this time of year but of what our Community teaches.

“We are born through the Holy Spirit, but we are born again through the Christ. In both we are anointed through the Spirit…No one can see himself in water or in a mirror without light. Nor again will you be able to see in light without water or a mirror. On account of this, it is fitting to baptize in both light and the water. But the light is the Anointing.

 “There were three buildings for offering-places in Jerusalem. One was open to the west; they called it “the holy.” Another was open to the south; the called it “the holy of the holy.” The third was open to the east; they called it “the holy of the holies.” It was the place into which the high priest came alone. The Baptism is the holy house…the holy of the holy. The holy of the holies is the bridal chamber.

“Those who say they will die first and rise again are in error. If they do not first receive the resurrection while they live, when they die they will receive nothing. So also they speak about Baptism, saying that Baptism is a great thing because if people receive it, they will live….The Anointing is greater than Baptism. For by the Anointing we are called Christians, not because of Baptism. And they call Christ so because of the Anointing….He who has been anointed has the All; he has the resurrection, the Light, the Cross, and the Holy Spirit. The Father gave him these things in the bridal chamber….

 “The Cup of Prayer holds wine, it holds water… And it is full of the Holy Spirit and it belongs to the completely perfect Man. When we drink this, we will take to ourselves the perfect Man. The living water is a body. It is fitting that we clothe ourselves with the living Man. Therefore, when he comes to go down to the water, he disrobes in order that he may put this one on. A horse begets a horse; a man begets a man; a god begets a god. It is thus with the bridegroom and the bride. The holy man is all holy, including his body. For, if he holds the bread, he will make it holy, or the cup, or anything else which he holds, he will make it pure….Everyone who will go into the bridal chamber will be born of light. For they are not conceived from the marriage which is consecrated in the night…But the mysteries of marriage are fulfilled in the day and light. That day or its light does not set. If anyone becomes a child of the bridal chamber, he will receive light. If anyone does not receive it while he is in these places, the world, he will not be able to receive it in the other place. The one who has received light cannot be seen nor can he be held, and no one can torment him, even if he lives in the world. And also, if he should go out of the world, already he has received the truth in images….

“…Blessed is the one who exists before he comes into being. For he who exists, he was and will be.”

These inspired and enlightened words express the true message of Jesus and the essence of his teaching. Therefore, I encourage you to renew your fellowship within The Community, strengthened by our love and joy for one another. What a symbolically beautiful time of year for this: Springtime, when all things are made new. And let us give thanks for the promise of the Second Advent, as prophesied by Jesus Christ, which has been fulfilled in our special time with the manifestation of the Sun of Righteousness. What a blessing it is! For how many countless men and women over these past many centuries have longed for and awaited the Second Coming of God – this powerful and profound spiritual Consciousness that is manifesting in the world and permeating all things with an energy never before felt and experienced by the human spirit? And we are privileged to be a part of it – to assist God in a new way as servants and workers in the New Covenant, which is destined to bring about a new Heaven and a new Earth.

Last Sunday was celebrated as Easter in the Eastern churches. Last week, we referenced the Gospel of John. That Gospel makes reference to the spiritual Presence which will manifest at the Second Advent. Here the parables show that Man’s redemption comes by means of Christ – not the man Jesus, but by the Christ Force – the mediating agency through which men and women attain union with the Godhead. And that every person can be heir to and inherit the everlasting life which Jesus exemplified and personified. It also makes clear the coming of the Comforter, which we in The Community recognize as having manifested on February 6, 1962.

6…I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 10 Beleivest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me…. 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these he shall do….15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. [John 14]

9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. 10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments , and abide in his love. 11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. 12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 

13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. 15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. 16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit shall remain….17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.

18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. 20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you….26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: [John 15]

But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them….7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come….8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement. 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. [John 16]

1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son may also glorify thee: 2 As thou hast given him power…that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God….4 I have glorified thee on the earth…. 5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. [John 17]

Therefore, in commemorating the traditional Easter Season, we do so in anticipation of True Easter, which we will celebrate in the Second Advent Church next Wednesday on April 18, according to the solar calendar. We participate in the glorious communion of the Angels of Light, joining with Jesus and the Essaei and all those of other religions who have been reborn into the Community of Light, which is the resurrection of the Spirit that comes about through participation in the glorious and Messianic Communion with the Celestial Christ.

In keeping with the Easter theme, let me say that the New Testament can sometimes be confusing, contradictory and controversial in dealing with the question of immortality. But, let me share some verses with you which, I believe, make this concept clear. This from the 12th chapter of the Gospel of John which speaks of life everlasting and how one must use the Christ Light to attain it:

23…The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. 24 Verily, verily, I say unto you…25 He that loveth this life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. 26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. 27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour. 28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again. 29 The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him. 30 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes. 31 Now is the judgement of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. [John 12]

35…Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. 36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light… [John 12]

44…He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. 45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. 46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. 47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him on the last day. 49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. 50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting…. [John 12]

We know that Jesus – the Christ – not only received the Word of God, but that the Logos incarnated within his Spirit. He became the Living Word of God manifest in Man. Yes, he was the Messiah of Aaron and of Israel, but he, like so many others of his Christ Brothers, received the mantle of the Office of Christ on Earth. But we also know that Jesus prophesied a future time – a time when Christ, the celestial and mediating force between God and Man, would appear not in human form but out of the heavens in great power and glory. And this prophesy echoed the older prophecies of Isaiah and Malachi.

1 See the day is coming, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stuble; the day that comes shall burn them up, says the Lord of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. 2 But for you who revere my name the sun of righteousness shall rise, with healing in its in rays. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall. 3 And you shall tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day when I act, says the Lord of hosts. [Malachi 4]

Malachi is prophesying about the end of times, when God would come again at the Second Advent, when the Sun of Righteousness would appear out of the heavens in splendor and with a Light which had never been bestowed on Earth before. And this Light will feed and nurture the Spirit at the great and final Messianic banquet served from the true Temple of God. The message of Jesus is clear. The need for men and women to partake of the supersubstantial food that nourishes the Soul is found the transubstantiated Sun – the sun of matter – which is transfigured into Spirit.
