HEAD OVERSEER’S WEEKLY MESSAGE
August 5, 2020
This past Saturday, the resident Community at the Center gathered at the Cathedral Church of the Americas of the Red Rock Consecrated Sanctuary for Sunrise Divine Service commemorating the giving of the Revelation in 1982 confirming the Active Principles of Divine Law. It was a beautiful cloudless, windless day full of sun and many blessings which were felt into the following day – Sunday. You can see both sunrises and listen to the services on the Facebook Cosolargy Members Forum.
Today, we begin with our review of the Fourteenth Saying of The Secret Sayings of Jamil. This Saying will also be divided into several parts, although not as many as the last one.
The Fourteenth Saying (Part 1)
“Upon finishing the discussion of the Thirteenth Saying, The Man removed another scroll from his alforja, and proceeded with his reading. And these are the words of the Fourteenth Saying:
“Man is alone in the universe, seemingly abandoned by God. People suffer hardships, endure pain and loss, labors and are unrewarded in spite of the graciousness of their nature. Man and woman live but a few years and then wither away until death claims their frail bodies, never knowing the Face or Goodness of God. They pass away without ever understanding why they came into the world, whence they came, or wither they go. They trust in the unfathomable Nature of God that their inner being tells them exists but is never revealed to them. God is silent, mysterious and unfathomable. Many are those who fight God; shake their raised fists at Him, asking the why of it all. What person, engulfed in the throws of life, has not shouted to God in agony inquiring why he or she must endure isolation of self plunged deep into the material world that cripples, tears and breaks the weak body.
“God never speaks. He remains ever silent until a person perishes and returns to the dust whence they came. It is understandable why people, who struggle and fight the forces of nature, learn to distrust God for His silence and turn away to trust in the strength of their arms and in the wit of their brains. What must Man do to break this remoteness of God and bridge the gap that separates him from the divine?
“God is silent to the physical senses, desiring to speak only to the spiritual Consciousness. And if this Consciousness not be developed, God remains ever silent during a person’s life. Communion with God is attained during life by dedication to The System. This is accomplished only by those wedded to God in the Light of His New Sun. And the enlightened will speak to God during their life, and after death claims their material bodies they will embrace Him completely. If spiritual Consciousness be not developed during life, God will remain silent forever, even following death, for the Spirit without Consciousness is like a body without life, unknowing and mute.
“The spiritual Light of the Sun of Righteousness is of God, and therefore filled with life and beauty. No one need see death if they but merge with that Light.
“God has sent the New Sun into the world to oppose the powers of evil and Darkness that have captured the world and have dominion over it because of Man’s worship of these powers. The results of the Powers of Darkness can be observed in the nature of Man and in the nature of Man’s nations. Nations war against one another. Everywhere there is opposition, struggle, hatred, envy, and strife among humankind. All this, joined with ignorance of God’s truth and God’s redeeming Light, holds Man in a death grip.
“The New Sun of God floods the world and the universe with redeeming Light toward which Man must needs be directed. The purpose of The Community is to instruct man and woman in the Light and then instruct them in the establishment of a goodly and a Godly way of life. Man requires direction by which to accomplish this. Unity and fellowship, the first requirements to good standing in the age of Light, must be learned by all. God is Spirit. Man’s soul is Spirit. The New Sun is Spirit. The merging of these three brings blessings to the whole of Creation.
“Many are the Holy Ones who have come to Earth preaching the means of attaining nearness to God and the ways of breaking the silence of the Creator, but people will not follow them. They kill the prophets, alter their teachings, and cling to the ways of the material world and the powers that govern it. Joy filled the hearts of the disciples of Christ when they walked among men and women to enlighten them on the news from God that Man can commune with his Creator. But people mocked and stoned them, taking their lives in an ignoble manner. They did not know that they could not take from the disciples the inner joy of their blessedness and unity with God, the Father. And by the killing of the disciples, the people separated themselves, and their offspring unto many generations, from God who desired to speak to them through the Light of His Being. Such is the bitterness of Man and the misery of his lot and station.
“And now the Light of God’s Being has filled the universe again, and He has extended to Man the means by which he may commune with Him. Will Man desire to speak with his Creator, or will he refuse out of spite and resentment for the long silence of God? Man does not know that his aloneness in the universe is his own doing and not God’s. God has seen fit to ease Man’s sorrow and suffering; He has revealed Himself in the Light of the Messianic Sun one final time. He has broken the silence and His Word fills the whole of Creation with intelligible love and wisdom. If Man not answer, desiring to speak to God then God will remove Himself from Man completely, and Man and his world will be consumed by the fiery flames from the sun imploding upon itself as it returns to the source for a New Creation.”
We will begin the commentary next week.

HEAD OVERSEER’S WEEKLY MESSAGE
This is the final portion of the commentary on the Thirteenth Saying. These words dwell primarily on our return to the Worlds of Light. Of course, as always, there is emphasis on the establishment of a dedicated Community of Light.
The Thirteenth Saying (Part 14)
“‘I believe we will discover our real selves in due process of time. A prerequisite is living the Life of Light laid down by the Order. I think that if members of this good ship were to gather some thirty or forty years hence, some being seventy, others eighty, others ninety years of age, on a splendid beach like this one, they would feel much closer to God. Their many years of dedication to the Order, their years of labor in Community, would extend to them a living communion of fellowship not shared by others. But I think others would discern this fellowship, sense the communion shared by them, and honor it even though they were not a part of it. These older ones would, by their very age and experience, be closer to God in time because of their long years of devotion, humility, and service. And, above all, by living their lives as God intended and not by the will of natural Man. We must always remember that it is because of God’s Light manifest in the New Sun and the formation of this Community that we are living this life of dedication. We did not create it for ourselves, but we did use our free will and intelligence to select it.
“‘I can assure you that you will never really understand who you are until you draw closer to death. I remember when Jamil was passing out of this world into the Worlds of Light. It was an experience I shall never forget. He began to withdraw from the world days, even weeks, before. He lived apart from this material world. His lovely little body was enveloped in an aura of white light. Illustrious Beings of Light; – Jesus, the Apostles, and other robed figures of personages grown holy over the centuries, surrounded him constantly as if they were escorting him out of this world; – or perhaps protecting him during his transit. They were all part of a sacred Fellowship of Light. And this Fellowship was a hallowed and living Communion with God. I remember appealing to Jamil, asking that he not abandon me, urging him to remain on Earth. And for a brief moment he returned to the natural world of the living. He arose and, touching me tenderly, smiled shaking his head slowly to indicate that he was no longer for this world. He was serene. He was content to leave here, to go back to his own world. He was no longer my son, and I no longer his father.
“‘So Jamil taught me something very valuable. He could not be his true self until the moment of death. Then a whole new world opened up to him. He became radiantly beautiful, spiritually perfect. Thus, to be truly spiritual one must draw away from this world; then one will understand about origins.
“‘This holds true for all of us. For this reason, I hope our Community can build a sanctuary for the aged so they can withdraw from the world in peace and in the company of loved ones. I believe Jamil would have urged us to do that. I believe the aged could be our instructors in many ways, as Jamil instructed me when dying of the body.
“‘I think we will become great teachers in time to come, each one of us in our own way. I have bowed down to Jamil. I must do that. My position in the Church is secure and each of you know me for what I am. But I would bow to any one of you as Fellows and Teachers of Light as Jamil did to me. He honored and recognized me as his natural father. We all must have mutual understanding and respect for one another. That is the basic law. We cannot have disharmony. This ship has taught us the importance of this. When disharmony arises, it is from the heart of the natural Man. And we must send the natural Man away from us no matter how much he may contribute to the ship on a material level. We must always maintain the Communion of Light amongst us. If we fail in that, we no longer have a Ship of Light. It is the same for The Community.’
“And after speaking these words The Man and the mariners left the island and rowed the longboat to St. Peter Island, a short distance away. A gentle ground swell carried them to a rocky beach covered by a multitude of black stones of various sizes and shapes. They sat down to speak again of Jamil and the Sayings. And the Second Mariner asked The Man, ‘In the first portion of the Thirteenth Saying, Jamil’s words state that he did not come to teach. If he did not come to teach, why did he come? What is he trying to tell us?’
“And The Man answered him saying, ‘I believe Jamil said he did not come to teach natural men and women; that his teaching was the express property of the supernatural, meaning those who would receive The Word of God and, having received it, collect together in Community for the benefit of the world. Jamil’s purpose on Earth was to announce the coming of the Sun of Righteousness, as we have discussed. His intention was to lay the groundwork for the coming Community. Like Jesus, who never divulged the Teachings of Light to the community of Man, but only to members of the Order who had given up the ways of the natural world, sold their possessions and took up the cross, Jamil never revealed the Teachings to the curious. He only revealed them in such a way that they would be preserved for The Community. By so doing he assured the perpetuation of The Teachings. If you will remember, the Teachings of Light brought to the world by Jesus were lost to mankind with the persecution of Jesus and his immediate disciples, and with the Roman destruction of Jerusalem and the communities that had banded together under the new teachings of Jesus. Only by the establishment of a dedicated Community can the Teachings of Light be preserved for all time.’”
We will begin the Fourteenth Saying next week.

HEAD OVERSEER’S WEEKLY MESSAGE
Hello. I hope you are staying safe and keeping healthy. We are almost at the end of our review of the Thirteenth Saying of Jamil. This portion continues with the themes of pre-existence and the preordained but elaborates on arrogance versus humility and living the Life of Light to attain spirituality.
The Thirteenth Saying (Part 13)
“And The Navigator spoke again saying, ‘What you seem to have said in your answer is that none of us knows exactly where we came from, or even that we had a pre-existence prior to our entrance into this world until we are awakened by the call of Christ. Let me quote from the Gospel of John: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become sons of God, which were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. But what of the laws of God? Are they not made obvious to us from the moment of our awakening as to who we were and where we came from?’
“And turning to the seaman, The Man answered saying, ‘Each of us must first accept that once awakened by God’s presence in the Light of Christ, we begin to live under supernatural laws. These laws bind us to a life of dedication. Our supernatural uniqueness means simply that we have become spiritual. We have used our free will to elect to live under the Laws of Light. This does not mean that we are better than other people. We are only different. We become servants of Christ. We are here to instruct the human family. Therefore, we cannot ever think of ourselves as superior. We do live under superior laws, true. But superior to other men and women, never.
“‘Arrogance defeats spirituality. It defeats the whole life of Jamil, and of Jesus. Jamil taught us humility as a child; Jesus as a man. Humility is a discipline. And the discipline of humility teaches us spirituality. Jesus identified with man; Jamil identified with natural phenomena. He lived off the breath of God. He was nurtured by it.
“‘To learn more about our pre-existence, we must withdraw from the world and try to understand God. Look at how Jesus experienced his human nature when hanging on the cross. He uttered the words: My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me. Here was a suffering, natural man in a moment of despair. He was not fully in charge. He was not completely free from the natural body which was suffering terribly. He felt abandoned. He had failed his community, as they had failed him. But slowly he withdrew from his agony and forgave his tormentors saying: Forgive them Father for they know not what they do. Here was the supernatural Man speaking to natural Man. His superiority of reasoning allowed Jesus to be forgiving. In this moment Jesus became perfect Christ, incarnate in human form. And he triumphed. And when he cried out: Father into thy hands I commend my spirit, at this moment Jesus was freed from his human nature, and his Spirit merged with God.
“‘With his ascent back into the Worlds of Light whence he had come, Jesus then knew of his true, supernatural nature. He was free forever. It is the same for any one of us. We will not be truly spiritual, nor have a full understanding of who we really are, nor understand our origins, until we depart this world and merge with the source of our being. I think that the closer we draw to the end of our natural life, the closer we come to God.
“‘Jesus triumphed over the death of his natural body. He returned to his disciples in possession of a Light Body, the same Body to which all persons of Light are heir, as a testimony to the immortality of the human Spirit that exists once it is empowered by God’s eternal Light.’”
This theme continues next week and focuses on Jamil’s return to the Worlds of Light.
