I trust you had a joyful and blessed Christmas-Epiphany Season. The weather here at the Center in Reno did not allow us to have daily sunrise services throughout the 12 Days of Christmas nor on Epiphany Day, but we received much needed snow and communed with the Sun of Righteousness in our own way.

As we resume our review of the Twenty-fourth Saying of Jamil, you may want to refresh your memory on where we left off by re-reading the previous segment: [CLICK HERE.]

The Twenty-fourth Saying (Part 4)

And The Man continued his dissertation to the Companions of the Way.

“‘The world must be educated in The Way. It is the responsibility of this Church and the Order of Ministers to educate the world. When man and woman are put in contact with the true Image of God and receive the true Word of God, they will know in their hearts whether The Way is true or not. Their spirits will respond accordingly. If they allow their emotions, or their minds, or their intelligence, or their habits of traditional concepts to outweigh the real Teaching of The Way, then they have retrogressed.

“‘The sayings of all the great and holy prophets of former times tell us that in the final age of the world, God’s mighty Light will burn up the old world in making way for the new. No one is to be killed, for it is contrary to the True God that anything be killed. The Dark spirit, matter, and all of false creation is to be burned away by the brightness of God’s Coming into the world. Only the spiritual will be sustained. The Way instructs people in how to become spiritual. Eventually, the Image and Word of God will be so strong that man and woman will not have any choice except to follow Truth because there will be nothing else to follow. This is difficult for some people to comprehend because of their preoccupation with free will.

“‘Regardless of their religious view, most people believe quite sincerely that they have, by virtue of their respective religion, the highest way to God or a god. Usually this view is one of their own, a private creation – a form of idolatry. They find it repulsive that God would have the right to reclaim His Creation, to restore the cosmos to its original, spiritual perfection. This is explained by the fact that most religions are of the earth and of nature, that this world is good and will continue as it is forever in spite of the evident imperfections observed. Strangely enough, this is a common view.’”

The Twenty-fourth Saying (Part 3)

“‘The best way and the only way to teach is by exemplification. Our Order must send forth teachers showing the true advantages of a spiritual religion over the religions of emotion – the religions that worship a god or gods which have been created by the minds of men or have been nurtured by the psychic nature. All too often it is the interpretation of scripture by sects or orders that lead to these errors.

“‘For example, if we make a literal interpretation of the Old Testament writings, we find that Jehovah is depicted as a god of vengeance – a jealous and wrathful god. Of course, not all Hebrew sects of old agreed with this interpretation. Even in the New Testament, we find that a literal rendering of Jesus’ sayings produces a different Teacher than that of the whole Teacher. Jesus was a man of peace who taught The Way and insisted that every person live it. Yet, Christians today, rather than live The Way, place the power in a church and its sacraments to free them of sin, or they simply declare that Jesus is their personal savior who forgives them of every sin, every error, no matter what it might be. Each person interprets the words of Jesus in his or her own way – innovating, altering, speculating, twisting, and reducing Jesus to a scapegoat who died for everyone’s sins. They have reduced a great Teacher to little more than a shadow of what he really was and thrown away his Teachings of The Way, making him a human savior. They have taken Jesus and created him in their own image, put their own words in his mouth, and created a false god.

“‘The Jesus of the Christian religion today is not the Teacher who was Jesus. The clergy would be the first to admit this but are powerless to alter it. There is a false religion in action. How does one explain this to a Protestant? How does one explain it to a Catholic? But this is in fact what we are obliged to do. If we tolerate the Catholic or Protestant view allowing them to continue on as before, reducing our Teachings to nothing more than a mild supplement to amend the older, orthodox teachings, we only empower the churches of the First Dispensation with all of their errors. And we defeat the purpose of the True Religion and the Church of the Second Advent.

“‘We should always remember that The Church is universal. Its message is to be directed to all world religions. Therefore, our problem is compounded, reaching far beyond the Christian religion. If we were to introduce our ideas to a modern Muslim, we would be trying to reach a person whose idea of the Islamic religion is fixed and no less orthodox than that of a Christian believer. All religionists are sincere. Yet: they have a tendency to reject fulfilling ideas introduced into the orthodox and often secular religious view.

“‘The prophet Muhammad was aware that Islam would be fulfilled at a later date by supplemental teachings coming out of the West. These new teachings should not be considered heretical by the orthodox of any world religion for, after all, the Christian religion, as well as the Hebrew, Buddhist, and Brahman religions, all await a messiah – a world teacher – to fulfill them. The coming forth of this revealed religious teaching does not signify that the old religions are false. It simply means that they are to be fulfilled so that all may be united. No holy war will be necessary to bind them together – only genuine love of God will accomplish this union.

“‘The person of God who reflects the Image and Word is not out of accord with any person, regardless of religion or national origin, creed or color. What the person of God does is live and then teach the One Way – The Way of the One Religion – and leads people to the One God through the Image and the Word which is One. The Way unifies people. And once people are involved in the True Religion, they are not at odds with another religion. They simply teach a higher Way for all.’”

September 2022 Convocation & Seminar
September 7 through September 12, 2022

The Convocation held this year was the first in three years due to Covid restrictions and was a
rousing success. People who have attended for many years said it was one of the best, and new

RESIDENCE TRAINING SEMINAR

Color & Sacred Imagery
Advanced Programs I & II

The seminar was presented in the Chapel of The Holy Child by Bishop Gene Savoy Jr. in morning and afternoon sessions. Each session was video recorded for future use as an online training program. The original version of the lecture series was presented in 1980 by Rt. Rev. Gene Savoy Sr. The 10-hour training seminar updated for a contemporary audience.

Part 1 is six hours of oral instruction on the psycho-physical and spiritual bodies; color polarities; demonstrations on the use of gemstones, the sacred thread, and mirrors; and the use of color in ancient medical practices. Part 2 is an expansion of Part 1 in four hours of oral instruction on healing, the use of the sacred thread and vestments, the Pythagorean image of the sun, and the awakening of the force centers.

Friday, September 9

“The Three Communions”
The lecture was presented in the Chapel of The Holy Child by Bishop Gene Savoy Jr. and video recorded for future use as an online training program. It provides a comprehensive commentary on the three communions – the communion of bread and water, the communion of light, and the communion of the Divine Presence – their importance, meanings, and related symbologies.

“New Scientific Views of Consciousness”
Presented by Rebecca Willis
A new movement within science is working to overturn the currently accepted materialistic worldview and its limitations on understanding the human spirit. They recognize consciousness as beyond the brain and primary to physical existence. Their work offers new perspectives on consciousness while laying a groundwork for greater receptivity to the teachings of Cosolargy within society.

“What is Metanoia?”
Presented by Ted Staver
Exploring the concept of metanoia as it relates to The System of Cosolargy and the Community as a whole: the forms of metanoia; metanoia as regeneration of spirit and a special state of grace that is a blanket over the Community; collective manifestation of metanoia and Shekinah; the oral tradition of the paradosis as the secret of the parousia and the means to metanoia.

Following breakfast, we moved to the Monastery Gardens for a reading of the new publication of the Jamilian University Press, The Jamil Commentaries.

Originally published in 1973, a series of six moving impressions expressed by people who actually met The Child, with a foreword by Gene Savoy Jr., who met and knew each of the six individuals. The presenters included Gene Savoy Jr., Rebecca Willis, Robert Petrovich, Amanda Buchanan, Radheka Savoy, Ted Staver, Marilyn Taylor, and Harold Boulette.

“Origins of Shingon Buddhism”

Shingon Buddhism, one of the major sects of Buddhism in Japan, was founded by Kukai (774 – 835 CE), known posthumously as Kobo Daisih, after he traveled to China, where he studied Tangmi under the monk Huiguo and became a Teacher of Light.

“Solar Cultures of Africa”
Presented by Shawn Smith
Every culture that applied The System has something to offer us. This includes the many solar cultures that existed in Africa. This presentation will focus mainly on the Dogon of western Africa.
Most of the pre-colonial history of Sub-Saharan Africa remains shrouded in mystery to us in these modern times.
Unfortunately, this ignorance extends to what is known of the true nature of her “indigenous” religions and thus, her many Cultures.
The native religions of the Continent known for her colorful sights and vibrant sounds, and warmth of 1.4 Billion inhabitants, has been categorized with prejudice by proponents of Western Religious Anthropology with monolithic models of either “Pagan Animism” or “Shamanism”.
However, with delicate consideration of certain African Traditional Religions (ATRs), we can observe that what even seems polytheism has evolved from an erosion of an earlier monotheism associated with the Solar motifs.
Cameroon, a nation of 17 million, is home to 216 ethnic groups, each with its own distinct dialect and culture. We attempt to decode the most prominent of her Tribal liturgies, the etymology of sacred words, and symbology of her ancient local landmarks to “connect the dots” and consider their greater significance in the light of the Second Advent in the Sun of Righteousness.

The Twenty-fourth Saying (Part 2)

“And when he had completed his reading, The Man looked again at the devotees, awaiting their response.

“The first to speak was a Companion of The Way, and he said, ‘I can understand how a person in enthusiasm for religious expression can be confused in his or her search for the True God. But how can people be channeled towards the Truth if they confuse the teachings of ephemeral gods with the Teachings of the One True God?’

“And The Man answered him saying, ‘We face a problem here. For example, in the United States of America, we consider, and rightfully so, from the secular or from the civil point of view, all religions to be equal under the law. This is a good law, of course. However, we have learned from this Saying, and from experience, that all religions are not equal. Be this as it may, all religions should be given the same right under the law, and all persons should be allowed to worship God or a god as they will. In other words, every man and every woman has the right to worship a god or God in his or her own way, which is a natural right. This right is protected by this nation.

“‘Now, to teach of the True Religion of the True God, and to instruct man and woman in the True Way within a democracy that allows freedom to all religions, and extends the same right to each without giving anyone more authority than the other, means that the religion itself must evolve to a degree that it can be acknowledged by those who would listen to it. We of the Order must create excellent teachers to exemplify and teach The Way. The Order must earn the respect of people by demonstrating the benefits of the True Religion. Of course, we must be free to accomplish this.

“‘By way of demonstration, when we as an Order begin to instruct Catholics in the supplements and amendments to the Christian religion stating that God is Christ, that God has given His Body as Light, and that we are nurtured on that Body of Light, and that it sustains our Soul – that it is not the body of Jesus that feeds or nurtures us – we probably will receive very strong opposition from both the clergy and laity alike. When we undertake to instruct the Protestant churches and their followers, teaching that God is Christ, that His Image and Word is the only mediator – not Jesus – we can anticipate strong opposition from that quarter.

“‘The same reaction will occur when we go forth to reveal the Doctrines of the True Religion to other sects, cults and world religions. The followers of those beliefs will want to cling to the traditional doctrines that have formed their cultures over many centuries, and in some cases for millennia. This is particularly true of the Hindu, Buddhist, Hebrew, Muslim and similar older and formal religions out of whose old cultures the present cultures of the world have evolved. To expect these people to change and accept God’s Image and Word, and put away their respective religions – to let go of their emotional and psychic rites, or mental rites – would naturally be a very difficult thing to do. But this is exactly what we are being asked to do by the Sayings and by the Church as a whole.’”

The Miraculous True Story Jamil: Child of Light was first told in a hard-cover text printed in 1972. Thanks to today’s advances in technology, we are preparing to tell the story again through a beautiful soft cover printing as well as in a new “fixed page” ePub format.

The Jamil Commentaries was compiled to accompany this release in a full-color, soft cover edition and ePub. Within its pages are the stories of individuals who had personal experiences of The Child, some within his short lifetime 1959-1962. The Jamil Commentaries has never before been made public in any format.

These two beautiful volumes can be part of your library for a contribution of $100 to help us with the production costs of bringing this miraculous story to the public.

Each of the two books cost more than $1000 each to produce, in addition to the cost of printing. These two titles are the first of several books we will be bringing out to the public in new editions over the next several months.

Early Sunday December 4, 2022, Bishop Gene Savoy Jr. and Reverend Canon Robert Petrovich will be traveling to Los Barriles, Mexico to attend a very important conference which they have been asked to attend. Reverend Deacon Humberto Garcia will be traveling across Mexico from his home in Chihuahua to join them at the conference.

The East Cape Futures Forum runs December 5-8, 2022 in Los Barriles, Mexico a short distance from the property recently acquired on the coast of the Gulf of California. The forum is an in-person gathering to catalyze discussion, connection, and co-learning about new, more regenerative and sustainable development models applicable to the East Cape region of Baja California Sur. Gene and Humberto will be attending as board members of the Mexican branch of Cosolargy International.

A general report will appear in the Communique following the return of Gene and Robert to the United States.
