The 27th annual Thanksgiving Eve Service, a worship service of prayers, readings, and music from a variety of faith traditions, was held Wednesday November 21, 2012, at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Cathedral in downtown Reno with over four hundred persons in attendance.

Food items were donated to the Northern Nevada Food Bank, and monetary donations were given to Good Shepherd’s Clothes Closet. Nearly $1500 was raised for the Clothes Closet, which included a $500 donation from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

This year’s service was unique in that it focused primarily on music and was meant to appeal specifically to the members of the Latino community who are among the primary supporters and congregants of St. Thomas Aquinas Cathedral.

The event coordinator, Francine Petrovich, began the program with a traditional Lighting of Candles at each table followed by a screening of the 2012 video “Triumphal March: The Spirit of Exploration,” featuring The Foundation Orchestra. Scenes depicted recent excursions by Community members to Japan and South Africa.

The two visits to Japan, in 2011 and 2012, were to the Cosolargy International headquarters inKurume, led by Yukinori Matsushita, and to Shinto and Buddhist shrines of historical and spiritual significance. The trip to Africa took place in October 2011 and included a visit to the Global White Lion Trust in Timbavati and nearby ruins of an ancient civilization known as Great Zimbabwe.

“Consciousness Aspects in the Golden Age”

Dr. Rowena Kryder. PHOTO: Stephan Fuelling

Dr. Rowena Pattee Kryder presented at the 2012 Cosolargy Conference on “Consciousness Aspects in the Golden Age.” Her talk addressed the historical perspective of the “four ages,” the geometric matrix and aether, subtle energy “elements,” the twelve archetypes that will be relevant in the Golden Age, and provided a practical, hands-on exercise to enhance consciousness from her recent oracle book and card pack, Soul Fire. Dr. Kryder opened with a discussion of the four historical ages of changes in human consciousness since 11,000 BCE, laid out and described by Robert Cox in his book Pillar of Celestial Fire, as a review of the large-scale “cycles of civilization” in order to point up the importance of the present quantum shift toward a new Golden Age in consciousness that we are presently participating in, an age in which humans have greater opportunity to know how to be one with the “Source” and cosmic Love acts as a tendency of Aether to vibrate in harmony with Eternal Light.

In line with her talk, Dr. Kryder, an accomplished visual artist, provided intuitive depictions of the four tattvas of Vedic thought and a series of painted archetypal images from her book Soul Fire that depict meaningful functions in the Golden Age as part of an exercise with the audience to determine what function each person in the audience most related to intuitively and to help each person answer questions related to that archetype for practical purposes in the future.

Biographical Note:
Dr. Kryder, in addition to being the author of some fifteen books by numerous major publishers, has been an active artist all her life, lecturing and teaching workshops worldwide. The former chairwoman of art and creativity at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, she later founded the Creative Harmonics Institute in Mount Shasta, California, where for 12 years she was program director for ten-day intensives. Her PhD is in cross-cultural religious studies from the Union Graduate School and her bachelor’s and MFA are from the University of Oregon in symbolism. She has been a teacher at the Subtle Energy Conferences in Boulder, Colorado, Transpersonal Psychology Conferences, and Conferences on Shamanism for several decades and has also been an invited speaker to the Medical and Scientific Network in Great Britain.

“2012: Living in an Electric Universe”

Dr. Karl Maret. PHOTO: Stephan Fuelling

Dr. Karl Maret’s magnificent audiovisual presentation at the 2012 Cosolargy Conference was

titled “2012: Living in an Electric Universe.” The presentation addressed the new plasma physics as it relates to the sun and astrophysical processes, and how the year 2012 represents a watershed moment in time. In the first portion of his presentation, Dr. Maret used electromagnetic field simulations to discuss the biological influence of toroidal (donut-shaped) magnetic fields, the behavior of water in a high voltage environment to discuss the movement of water within the body and biophoton-structured water, and the sun’s motion within the galaxy to discuss the current state of changes in the sun. In the second part of his presentation, he proposed a new model of so-called “dark matter” that considers the anomalies of red shift patterns not considered by conventional physics, dispensed the myth of the “big bang” theory with the suggestion that we live in a much more complex universe, described the sun’s photosphere as being made up of myriads of “magnetic cells,” and discussed the current and unconventional concepts of plasma as the primary medium making up our galaxy and the effects of the “electric universe” on the human body, including biophoton concepts related to genetics and energy medicine.. Dr. Maret closed with a thought on the true use of science in our age and notes on the nature of each of the recent astrological ages: Aries (2200–44 BCE), Pisces (44 BCE–2117 CE), and Aquarius (2117– ).

Biographical Note:
Dr. Maret earned his medical degree from the University of Toronto and holds a master’s degree in biomedical engineering and a bachelor’s in electrical engineering. He completed a four-year post-doctoral fellowship in pulmonary physiology at the University of California at San Diego and developed the biomedical instrumentation for the successful 1981 American Medical Research Expedition to Mt. Everest.

Dr. Maret practices Complementary and Alternative Medicine, specializing in nutrition, functional medicine, and energy medicine at the Dove Center for Integrative Medicine in Aptos, California, and is President of the Dove Health Alliance nonprofit foundation. He lectures extensively in Europe and America about electromagnetic healing approaches, new water technologies, the dangers of electrosmog, and new integrative energy medicine therapies. He is also on the Wisdom Council of the International Society for the Study of Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine.

“Stop Looking, Start Seeing”

Dr. Jacob Liberman. PHOTO: Stephan Fuelling

Dr. Jacob Liberman’s presentation at the 2012 Cosolargy Conference was titled “Stop Looking, Start Seeing.” His talk dealt with the self-regulating universe, how to stop looking and learn how to see, life guidance through higher intelligence and our own choices, and gaining a deeper understanding of life and its many mysteries from the perspective of a vision scientist. Dr. Liberman opened his presentation with the image of the “invisible wind,” the “wind behind the wind,” and science’s interest in finding out what this invisible animating force of life is. Through demonstrations and personal tales, Dr. Liberman discussed “living choicelessly,” “being in the flow,” and the “sweetness shared between two people that can be so healing.” He also discussed his newest research—measuring the light that comes out of the eye under certain circumstances.

Biographical Note:
Dr. Liberman is a pioneer in the fields of light, vision, and consciousness and is the author of the books Light: Medicine of the Future, Take Off Your Glasses and See, and Wisdom from an Empty Mind. He earned a Doctor of Optometry degree in 1973, a Ph.D. in Vision Science in 1986, and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Science in 1996. Dr. Liberman has shared his discoveries and insights with more than 2,000 audiences worldwide and has been enthusiastically endorsed by luminaries in the fields of health, science, and spirituality, including Deepak Chopra, Louise Hay, Bruce Lipton, Jean Houston, and Eckhart Tolle. Best-selling spiritual author Gary Zukav has described Dr. Liberman’s work as “deeply transformational,” Jean Houston calls it “a manual for a whole new order of being,” and Louise Hay says, “Jacob Liberman is one of my favorite teachers.” Dr. Liberman is the inventor of several light therapy devices, as well as the first FDA-approved medical device that significantly improves visual performance. He is the founder of Exercise Your Eyes, Inc. and EYELIGHT, and the past President of the International Society for the Study of Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine (ISSSEEM).
