HEAD OVERSEER’S WEEKLY MESSAGE

Monday, May 22, 2017

Greetings!

I write to you from Reno having just returned from my travels on behalf of our Community a couple of days ago. The trips, especially to Japan, were quite fruitful.

Last Monday, one week ago, Bishop Yuki and I along with a company of Community members traveled from our Center in Kurume, Japan northwest to a place called Itoshima on the Genkai Gulf on the Korean Strait. The purpose of this trip was to determine a general area to relocate our Japan Community in the coming few years.

While Kurume has served us well, it is time, as the Community expands, to venture nearer to Fukuoka City, a major metropolitan cultural and technological hub. Our plans to relocate 30 minutes away from Fukuoka to the Itoshima area will be further explained in September.

We spent the day there and were pleased to witness two very important and significant signs that reinforced the good work we are doing in that country. At the noon hour, the sun full of light and splendor, was encircled by a giant rainbow. That rainbow-colored sun was graced by a hawk circling above us the entire afternoon as if saluting us on our mission. Needless to say, while the picture will give you a glimpse of what we saw, it will not compare to the actual event. We were all awe-inspired at the manifestation we beheld!

While I will continue updating you from time to time on events, happenings and progress in The Community, next week I will resume a more inspirational tone. I find those kinds of messages to be of significant help to me, as I hope they are for you. Until then, I send you my best thoughts and prayers.

Once again, please feel free to ask me any questions by calling 775-786-7432 or emailing me at messages@cosolargy.org. I am always at your service.

Many blessings in Light+,

Gene

HEAD OVERSEER’S WEEKLY MESSAGE

Monday, May 15, 2017

Ohayo gozaimasu kara Nihon. I send you greetings from Japan.

I write to you this week from The Community’s center in Kurume, Japan, which is in the Fukuoka Prefecture on the island of Kyushu. I have been asked by our members here to send you their greetings, which I do.

We are finishing up a very productive and enjoyable week full of many blessings and joyfulness. I arrived last week and gave a two-hour long talk on Thursday, May 11th (the date of my father’s birth in 1927) to members and potential new members — about 40 people in all — on the history of The Community, my father’s quest for spiritual Truth, our plans for the future not only in Japan but in other parts of the world, including the United States and the Americas, and answered questions from those in attendance. The presentation, which was translated by our Bishop Yukinori, was well-received.

On Saturday, May 13th, several Ministers and I performed Communion Service of rice cakes and water in preparation for Sunday’s Sunrise Service. The Communion service was followed by ordinations for five members to the first and second levels. We then all partook of a common meal which several ladies of The Community had prepared.

On Sunday, May 14th, Bishop Yuki performed a purification rite on the site we have been using outside of Kurume for some time. The place is called Shono-toge. Following the purification or blessing of the place, Sunrise Divine Service in Japanese and English was performed by Bishop Yuki and myself assisted by other Ministers here in Japan.

Later in the day, we visited a Shinto shrine and a Buddhist temple called Naritasan and had a banquet together later in the evening. I am including with this communication a collage of photos of our weekend which should give you an idea of our experiences this week.

Today, Monday, I travel with Bishop Yuki to the coast to discuss our next plans in Japan. Next week, I will be back in Reno for the duration of the Summer. I hope to see you at The Community’s annual convocation on September. Your invitation to attend will be on its way to you this week. Please contact the Chancellery at 775-786-7431 if you have any questions.

I hope you enjoy the photos, and I look forward to sharing with you next week.

HEAD OVERSEER’S WEEKLY MESSAGE

Monday, May 8, 2017

Good morning. I write this to you after being awakened by the sounds of morning birds to greet today’s sunrise on Waikiki in the Hawaiian Islands. I’m in transit to Japan to meet with our Community there and will be spending a week with them at our base in Kurume on Kyushu. As I greeted the source of life this morning, its rays reminded me of the ancient Hawaiian proverb that “our purpose in life is to seek its highest form.”
When I attended last week the International Light Association’s annual conference in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, I was impressed by the assembly of scientists, medical professionals, therapists, and energetic healers who work in the fields of light, color and sound. They, too, in their own way, are seeking life in its highest form. However, because the source of life is primarily light, which emerges in physical form much like the atom from another dimension, the physical sciences can only take their research so far. That research has, indeed, progressed by “light years” over the past few decades. But, we know that the spiritual answers lie hidden in meanings known to the ancients and repossessed by The Community and within the Sacred Teachings of Light and the Universal System of Cosolargy.
Nevertheless, the ILA conference was positive to attend. Our Reverend Doctor Gary Buchanan presented a wonderful dissertation on the three topics of light, color and sound from our perspective. I was also pleased to see and listen to two of our good friends in the scientific and therapeutic fields, Drs. James Oschman and Jacob Lieberman. Both have attended and presented at our Cosolargy conferences in past years.

Gary Buchanan, James Oschman, and Gene Savoy, Jr

Next week’s message will be coming to you from the Land of the Rising Sun. Until then, I think these words from the 13th century Persian poet-mystic, Rumi, are appropriate: “There are two who are never satisfied: The lover of the world and the lover of knowledge….The Angel is free because of his knowledge, the beast because of his ignorance. Between the two remains the son of man to struggle.”
Once again, please feel free to ask me any questions by calling 775-786-7432 or emailing me at messages@cosolargy.org. I am always at your service.
Many blessings in Light+,
Gene

HEAD OVERSEER’S WEEKLY MESSAGE

Monday, May 1, 2017

Hello!
I write to you from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where I am attending the International Light Association’s annual conference. I am accompanying our Reverend Dr. Gary Buchanan who will be presenting to the group on Wednesday on Sonatherapy and Cosolargy as light, sound and energetic healing therapies.
As you know, I have just returned from Mexico and am happy to report that The Community has purchased, in the name of our corporation there (Cosolargy Internacional), the 2.5 acre piece of property on the Sea of Cortez that we have been talking about over the past several months. This is a great achievement for us as this is the first time The Community has acquired property outside of the United States since we returned to the States in 1972.
The purpose and plan for the property is, as discussed, meant for a Cosolargy Center which we propose naming “The Retreat at El Cardonal: Health, Healing & Wellness Center.” Closing escrow was smooth and the property title has been duly transferred to us. In addition to meeting with local business leaders and government officials, I also met with our proposed contractor and two architectural designers to begin the design phase of the project. As these renderings become available, I will be happy to share them with you. They will be instrumental in the capital investments we will need to build the center and retreat.
I will say that there is a definite “buzz” around the Los Barriles area. The people know we have purchased property and are aware of our plans. There is great excitement and support for us, which is an excellent beginning.
My schedule this month is quite busy with travel, so I will apologize in advance for any lack of inspiration as I write these communiques to you “on the road.” After leaving Ft. Lauderdale, I am back in Reno for a couple of days before visiting the Community in Japan where I will be performing various ceremonies and giving some talks. Upon returning to Reno, I am making a brief stop in Kauai for a potential opportunity for us to expand to the State of Hawaii. I don’t know exactly where these talks will lead us, but we’ll see. A few days later, I fly to San Diego, then drive north to meet with some religious leaders in Orange County.
I hope this letter finds you and your loved ones well. This week, I leave you with a video clip of sunrise at our property in Baja California that was taken when several members of The Community accompanied me there in February.
Many blessings in Light+,
Gene
Once again, please feel free to ask me any questions by calling 775-786-7432 or emailing me at messages@cosolargy.org. I am always at your service.
