“Star Explodes Stellar Theory”

In my most recent video presentation I discussed new scientific discoveries that completely rewrite astronomere ideas about planet and star formation. Technological data is now routinely suggesting that both planet and star appear to happen on a time scale that is not reconcilable with the slow gradual processes in gravitational theory.

“A New Obelisk ‘Lifeform’ Is Hiding Inside Humans”

obelisk lifeform

We’re not sure if it’s exciting or not that scientists just discovered new ‘lifeforms’ inside of our bodies. Tiny bits of RNA, smaller than a virus, colonize bacteria inside our mouths and guts and have the power to transfer information that can be read by a cell.

Dubbed ‘wildly weird’ by the team of Stanford scientists writing about the find in Nature, the discovery now has a name: obelisks. And we… don’t really know their end goal.

How to Find the Fountain of Light that Enlightens

“’How,’ says the Desciple to the Master in one of Boehme’s ‘Dialogues,’ ‘am I to seek in the center this Fountain of Light which may enlighten me throughout and bring my properties into perfect harmony? I am in Nature, as I said before, and which way shall I pass through Nature and the light thereof, so that I may come to into the supernatural and supersensual ground whence this True Light, which is the Light of Minds, doth arise; and this without the destruction of my nature, or quenching the Light of it, which is my reason?’

‘Master: Cease but from thine own activity, steadfastly fixing thine eye upon one point … For this end, gather in all thy thoughts, and by faith, press into the center laying hold upon the Word of God, which is infallible and which hath called thee. Be obedient to this call, and be silent before the Lord, sitting alone with him in thy inmost and most hidden cell, and attend His Will in the patience of hope.

So shall the Light break forth as the morning, and after the redness thereof has passed, the Sun Himself, which thou waitest for, shall arise unto thee, and under his most healing wings thou shalt greatly rejoice: ascending and descending in his bright and health-giving beams. Behold, this is the true Supersensual Ground of Life.’”

-Evelyn Underhill with an inner quote from Jacob Boehme.

Seek the Fountain of Light

The Desciple in this dialogue by Boehme knows that he should seek the fountain of light, he just doesn’t know how to do so. Still, he is ahead of many who call themselves spiritual, yet have actually done nothing to develop their spiritual faculties. This disciple at least knows of the Fountain of Light and knows that this Light brings Enlightenment, hence the name.

Bring Into Harmony

There are different things involved in being in harmony, but the primary one for most spiritual students is developing their spiritual centers in such a way that they are in harmony and work together without any one of them dominating. There are some spiritual schools that have you developing, or energizing, only the top three or four energy centers. That is fine for the more materialistic person who is overly developed in the lower centers, but a lot of those who seek out spiritual development are actually weak in those lower centers. We need to develop all of them and bring them into balance and harmony. Another way spiritual development brings us into harmony is that it makes us more loving and understanding, more peaceful and humble. This allows us to live in harmony with all people regardless of their age, sex, religion, race, or political leaning.

Without Destruction of My Nature

What the disciple is calling his nature, is what we would refer to as his individuality. Some schools teach that when we become One with The All, we lose all individuality like a drop of water that falls into an ocean. But when we become one with The All, we retain our individuality, much like a brick that becomes part of a wall. The wall is one whole, yet the bricks are still individual things.

Light of Mind

Boehme refers to the Spiritual Light as the Light of Mind. This may be the result of a poor translation or simply because Boehme had to be careful what he wrote so he wouldn’t be accused of heresy. Since Boeme received his enlightenment when sunlight was reflected onto his eyes from a metal bowl he was holding, I think he knows that this is a matter of the Spirit, not the mind.

Fix Thine Eye

The Master tells the student that he must fix his eye on one point, but he doesn’t say what that point is. In part, I think he is saying that one must concentrate on spiritual development when engaging in spiritual development techniques, but he also means to fix his eye on the sun as taught by spiritual masters so that you do not harm your eyes (NEVER stare at the sun).

“5 beguiling heart-shaped objects found in space”

space heart

From a teddy bear on Mars to Godzilla in a gas cloud, it’s easy to see pretty much anything you want on the seemingly infinite canvas of space. And this year, on Valentine’s Day, we choose to see love.

Heart-shaped objects are plentiful across the cosmos and come from a variety of sources — from extreme events like galactic collisions to the random side effects of brightly burning stars. Here are five of our favorites.

“THE EARTH’S CORE IS COOLING WAY FASTER THAN WE THOUGHT, SCIENTISTS SAY”

Earth core

According to new research, the core of the Earth is cooling much faster and sooner than originally anticipated — a new mystery that could throw a wrench in our understanding of the planet’s evolution.

To get a better sense of how far along the Earth is in the process, scientists are studying the thermal conductivity of the minerals present in the layer between the planet’s core and mantle. The faster that hot center passes heat to the planet’s outer layers, the faster the Earth is losing the heat present in its core.

“Astrobiologists Suggest the Earth Itself May Be an Intelligent Entity”

planet Earth

A group of researchers have posed a fascinating — and downright mind bending — thought experiment: If a planet like Earth can be “alive,” can it also have a mind of its own?

The team published a paper exploring this question in the International Journal of Astrobiology. In it, they present the idea of “planetary intelligence,” which describes the collective knowledge and cognition of an entire planet.

2024 June Convocation

The 2024 Community Convocation and Cosolargy Seminar was held in Reno from June 4th through June 9th.  Tuesday through Friday was devoted primarily to lectures on “The Oral Gospel as a Life System.” Bishop Gene Savoy, Jr. presented the lectures interspersed with audio by the late Most Right Reverend Gene Savoy, Sr., as well as about 200 slides. Nine highly specific imaging and breathing techniques were taught and practiced during this time.

A Pentecost Eve banquet was held on the evening of June 5th at the Rectory-Abbey. Consociates, Ministers, and the children of The Community gathered at 6 PM. At around 6:30, Bishop Savoy welcomed everyone and commented on the meaning and importance of Second Advent Pentecost. Then, the Reverend Bruce Kanzelmeyer and Bishop Savoy explained the AOUMENMNs used for Divine Service. Rev. Bruce commented on the tones, and Bishop Savoy commented on the hand gestures. The assembly then sang “Grant Life Unto Me” and was invited to the communal meal. The event was a seated buffet-style dinner. At sunset, which was at about 8:15, everyone went onto the main balcony of the Rectory and took in the sun. Following sunset, Reverend Canon Amanda Buchanan read from the Prophecy of the New Covenant. Coffee and dessert were then served. The next morning, June 6th — Second Advent Pentecost — a Sunrise Divine Service was held at the Church of New Pentecost at the Red Rock Consecrated Sanctuary.

Banquet Banquet

The traditional Saturday morning Communion of Fellowship Service was held in the Chapel of the Holy Child, which also included ordinations to the first level (Initiate) for Jeffrey Burgess, Csilla Hollo, David Mitchell, Nicolett Montanez, Herschell Soumahoro, and Collin Wizgen. Following Communion, a Memorial Service was held for the late Reverend Koshu Kawahara which is covered in detail in a separate article. Saturday’s afternoon agenda featured three speakers. Reverend Amanda did a presentation on the Sacred Calendar of the Second Advent, Bishop Shawn Smith presented a talk on the Solar Cultures of Africa, and Bishop Yukinori Matsushita presented one on the Solar Cultures of Japan.

On Sunday, Sunrise Divine Service was held the at the Cathedral Church of the Americas and Monument to Human Spiritual Rights with a special litany for the Japanese Community lead by Bishop Yukinori Matsushita. Following the service, second level (Deacon) and third level (Presbyter) were held. Csilla Hollo, Olimpia Huss, Demetrice Jackson, and Collin Wizgen were ordained Deacons, and Deacons Stephan Fuelling, Shane Grady, Yukako Kawai, Radheka Patel Savoy, and Shawn Smith were ordained Presbyters. It was a first that two people received back-to-back ordinations. Csilla Hollo and Collin Wizgen received first level ordination the day before on Saturday and second degree ordination on Sunday.

Memorial Service for The Reverend Koshu Kawahara

Koshu Kawahara

Born into this world: July 23, 1941, Kurume City, Fukuoka, Japan

Passed into the Light: March 20, 2024, Chikugo City, Fukuoka, Japan

A Memorial Service for Reverend Koshu Kawahara was held in the Chapel of the Holy Child on June 8, 2024. While Koshu passed into the Light in March, the Memorial Service was delayed so that it would be held during this year’s Community Convocation, and so some of his fellow Japanese Consociates would be able to attend. For more details about his life, click here.

Bishop Gene Savoy Jr., Reverend Canon Peter Foust, Reverend Dorothy Kubiak, and Deacon Shane Grady gave the scriptural readings and memorial prayers. Bishop Yukinori Matsushita read the eulogy. (Click here to read the eulogy.)
