Communion on the Moon July 20, 1969

Forty-three years ago two human beings made history by walking on the surface of the moon. But what happened before Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong exited the lunar module is known by very few: Buzz Aldrin took holy communion on the surface of the moon. Some months after his return, he wrote about it in Guideposts magazine.

“Mysterious Objects at the Edge of the Electromagnetic Spectrum”

From end to end, the newly discovered gamma-ray bubbles extend 50,000 light-years, or roughly half of the Milky Way's diameter, as shown in this illustration. PHOTO: NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center.

“NASA has many telescopes ‘working the wavelengths’ up and down the electromagnetic spectrum. One of them, the Fermi Gamma-Ray Telescope orbiting Earth, has just crossed a new electromagnetic frontier.

“‘Fermi is picking up crazy-energetic photons,’ says Dave Thompson, an astrophysicist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. ‘And it’s detecting so many of them we’ve been able to produce the first all-sky map of the very high energy universe.’”

Communiqué readers may find this article interesting within the context of higher sources of energy and higher manifestations of energy, concepts which science is just now acknowledging.

The Healing Sun: Sunlight and Health in the 21st Century

REVIEW: The Healing Sun: Sunlight and Health in the 21st Century by Richard Hobday, PhD

Two contrasting paradigms of our health relationship to the sun are presented in this book: advice from the modern medical community to avoid the sun, and the record of healing work done using the sun during the first half of the 20th century. Dr. Hobday also explores the health importance of natural light in buildings and the orientation of buildings that produces the best natural light. This well-researched book is full of good, practical information on how to derive health benefits from the sun.

Can Sungazers Obtain Limitless Human Potential?

PHOTO: preventdisease.com

Can sungazers obtain limitless human potential? This is the question investigated on Preventdisease.com. by spiritual counselor Michael Forrester. His investigation begins with a review of the movie Eat the Sun and moves into quotes and claims by modern sungazers, including Omraam Aivanhov and Hira Ratan Manek (HRM). The investigation ends with a recounting of HRM’s sungazing protocol. Not mentioned in the article are Gene Savoy Sr., the Jamilian University, or the sunrise services of the International Community of Christ—all prominent in the film Eat the Sun itself.

“How Recent Solar Flares Are . . . Affecting Humans”

Have you had any of the symptoms listed in this article? Dr. Tom Lee has. He reports a bout of fatigue, with tinnitus and dizziness symptoms during this last big solar storm. And he is taking notes to see whether it happens again. People have had the same symptoms, he says, before mid to large earthquakes.

Dr. Lee notes, “The point/theme of the article is to keep a positive mental attitude during these symptoms, which is a good idea with or without solar flares. The Half Past Human / WebBot project warned about the ‘sun disease,’ which seems to correlate with some Mayan prophecies.”

Christmas-Epiphany Vigil
The Twelve days of Christmas are observed by tradition in the Second Advent Church. Beginning Sunday December 25, and continuing through the morning of Epiphany Eve, January 5, Sunrise Divine Services were scheduled to be held in Consecrated Sanctuary each morning at the Church of New Epiphany during these days of special blessing. On the thirteenth day, January 6, which is Epiphany Day, a special morning service at sunrise was held at the Consecrated Sanctuary.

The traditional Christmas Day Service of Communion and Candle Lighting and Remembrance was held on Sunday December 25, at 11:00 a.m. in The Chapel of The Holy Child. Members of the congregation were asked to bring a bouquet of flowers to place beneath the communion table prior to the service and a loaf of bread to place on the communion table for special blessing.

Northern Nevada religious leaders of various religious groups gathered together January 18, 2012, at the University of Nevada–Reno (UNR) Student Union to request that UNR president Marc Johnson provide an interfaith prayer room and chapel on campus to meet the faith needs of the diverse student body. Among these religious leaders was the Right Reverend Gene Savoy Jr., Head Bishop of the International Community of Christ and president of the Nevada Clergy Association.

The group of about twenty decided at the meeting to send a letter to the university president to ask for a meeting with him to discuss the possibilities of assigning space on campus for an interfaith chapel. All in attendance signed the letter.

Owing to the efforts of the late Reverend Onie Cooper of the Second Baptist Church, this event was originally brought to fruition and has continued for decades. The Nevada Clergy Association and the Holiday Committee have joined to help “keep the dream alive.” Both the Nevada Clergy Association and the Northern Nevada Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Committee are presently headed by ICC Head Bishop Gene Savoy Jr.

On Monday January 16, a memorial caravan, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Second Baptist Church in Reno, followed the twenty-six miles of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Highway along US 395. This was the 14th annual community memorial caravan.

Vatican Interested in CERN Findings on “God Particle”

PHOTO: Earth Changes Media

Earth Changes Media Newsletter has published a series of three articles on the Vatican’s interest in recent CERN experiments and findings on the charged particles that officials of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) suggest are traveling faster than the speed of light. The experiments are attempting to determine whether the charged particles that CERN is studying are actually moving faster than the speed of light and what the activity of these particles can tell science about the origin of the cosmos.

“PART I: Vatican has full attention on charged particles”
“PART II: Ancient tribes, religion, spirit, scientifically united”
“PART III: Cryptochromes, Hadron particles—coming human transition”

Links to the three articles in the series are provided in the followup article “Finding ‘God Particle’ Is No Threat to Religion.” A link to this article is provided here: <Finding “God Particle” is no threat to religion.>
