January 4, 2014: Chapel Readings
Each week of the liturgical year, a reading from Second Advent Scripture is delivered as part of the Saturday Communion of Fellowship Service held in the Chapel of the Holy Child. This reading follows the Sacred Calendar of the Church; that is, Prophecies and Revelations that have been received by The Church on sacred dates are recalled in a liturgical context during the appropriate season each year. This reading is delivered by the Officiant of the Communion Service (that is, Bishop Gene Savoy, or occasionally in his stead, Bishop Sean Savoy) just before the final blessings. Each service also includes a reading from the ancient scriptures, prayers, or wisdom sayings of various world religions past and present and is usually thematically related to the Second Advent Reading. This reading is delivered by the Reader right after the announcements that begin the service and is thus the first reading of the service. An audio recording of the reading from Second Advent Scripture delivered on the date above is provided here below together with a transcript of the first reading of the service that day.

ANCIENT SCRIPTURE AND WISDOM SAYINGS
A Reading from the First Prophecy to the Americas, Chapter 16: “On the New Authority,” (pp. 131-134):
CHAPTER 16: ON THE NEW AUTHORITY
“And men of Darkness shall behold the coming Light of God’s New Sun, and be maddened and blinded, running to and fro in confusion, driven by evil spirits released into the world.
“And men of Light shall speak comforting words to them, saying that God is manifesting to the world in the Light of the New Sun, and that they have nothing to fear.
“But men of Darkness shall curse them, and would cause them a great hurt, being driven by the evil spirts.
“And men of Light shall seek the safety and sanctuary of their abodes of Light, remaining silent in refuge.
“And the world shall grovel under the anti-Christ and the Power of Darkness.
“And men of the world shall call out to men of Light, asking for guidance.
“And men of Light shall go out into the world speaking with new authority, saying that their authority comes from God, and from within the Light of their own beings.
“And men of Light shall stave the manifesting darkness, and intercede for men of the world and the life thereof, else all would be swept away.
“And the children of the earth shall know that men of Light do have new authority to rule and govern the world in harmony with God’s New Sun of great brilliance that shall burn up the world for the sake of goodness and order in the universe.
“And the heavenly Christ shall send a balm of Light over the world.
“And every living thing shall be transformed into glorious Light.
“And suffering, and illness and death shall withdraw, and men shall cease to judge one another and desist from all harmful acts towards all living things.
“And there shall be no more hate in the hearts of men, and envy shall fade away from their souls.
“And men of wealth and power shall turn from the ways of the material world.
“And all toil shall cease and the workers shall make merry.
“And men shall live off the Light of God as their forefathers lived off the grains of the earth.
“And men of arms shall lay down their weapons and cease from making war upon one another.
“And all living things shall celebrate and live for the glory of God. And all the world shall be filled with the love of Christ.
“And no living thing shall kill or eat another for the Lord’s sake.
“And a Child shall lead them unto God, all of them, in that day that shall never end.”
