PATH TO LIGHT: Jonna Gill

Rainbow wrapped around the sun A RAINBOW AROUND THE SUN By Jonna Gill

It was a bright, cloudless, sunny day in June 2013. I was taking a walk on the 3-mile nature trail near my mother’s home. It had always been one of my favorite trails as it cuts through the woods and then past an old rustic red barn. I loved the old red barn and was always anxious to turn the bend on the trail to walk past it. On this day, just as I turned the bend, I saw that a very large snake (about 6 feet long) was blocking my path. This was quite unusual; in fact it had never happened before. At that moment I had the choice of either jumping over the snake, (which I was not going to do) or to wait patiently until it had passed along in front of me into the grassy field. So I waited, stunned and barely breathing. Once the snake had passed, I continued a few yards farther along the trail until I realized that I had become uncharacteristically tired, to the point where I felt that I would faint. I didn’t know whether I could make it the 3 miles to the end of the trail, so I decided to turn back and return to my car, which meant passing by where the snake had been. I was alone, but when I crossed over where the snake had passed, I suddenly heard a very distinct voice say, “Look up at the Sun!” It was midday so I had to look practically straight up, and lo and behold, there was a brilliant full-spectrum rainbow around the sun. I was stunned. I had never seen such a phenomenon before. And there I stood in awe, staring openly at the vision of the magnificent Sun, surrounded by an incredible rainbow in a cloudless blue sky. This marked my first special experience with the Sun and there were more to come. . . .

I was raised in Pennsylvania. My father moved us from the city to a place we liked to call “the middle of nowhere.”  This middle of nowhere came equipped with bounteous apple trees, bunnies, deer, and your occasional skunk. The kind of place where one could grow up innocently. Not much happened on our little street. I was enrolled in Catholic school at a young age. My life in spirit started with the four C’s:  Catechism, Communion, Confirmation, and Confession. By the time I finished my senior year in high school, though I loved Catholic school, I believed that Catholicism had taken me as far as it could for the moment. I felt that there was something more to learn, to experience, about God. I knew there was a God out there, a really big God that was bursting at the seams and spilling out over the structures and confines of dogmatic thinking. Around this same time I had suffered some personal disappointments, and in a place of teenage despair, I asked God with every fiber of my being to do with me what he willed, to show me his face. As soon as I had said this, I heard what sounded like the creaking of a very large ancient door opening, and then WHISH, I was off on a spiritual journey of discovery into the simplicity and complexities of God. I became inflamed with a love for God, and for a short time at a considerably young age, I became a zealot. Over the next few years I studied world religions. I practically ingested books on metaphysics and spirituality, finding that God lived outside as well as inside of “the box.”  Up to this point, besides realizing that I had totally fallen in love with God, I knew that the only reason for anyone’s being on this planet was truly for the cause of spirit. To awaken the knowing of God within oneself again.

In the year 2010, I had been urged by a magnificent being named Hieronymus, to visit the magic mountain—Mount Shasta in California. I enrolled in a seminar to be held at Stewart Mineral Springs on Mount Shasta by Dr. Pillai, teacher and sidda master. Several of the participants in the seminar were students of Dr. Mitchell Gibson. A few of these students advised me to read up on some of his teachings. He was giving two seminars in my area, which I attended. I had two subsequent personal consultations with him regarding my spirituality and after telling him of the event about the rainbow around the sun, he gave me an exercise that helps enable one to get in touch with one’s own divinity. I started to practice the exercise one evening in June of  2013.

When I began, I suddenly felt a strong presence in the room. A clairaudient ability had started to awaken in me several years ago, along with the ability to sense the presence of a being in a room. When I feel a presence strongly, I always ask the being for its name. When I asked this time, I heard “Amen . . . Aten. I asked the being to repeat his name and I heard clearly, “Amenhotep -Akhenaten . . . Akhenaten. I am somewhat embarrassed to admit that at the time I did not consciously know who Akhenaten was except that he was Egyptian. I did not continue practicing the exercise until the following month. When I started again, the same thing happened. I felt a very strong presence in the room, and then asked for a name. “Akhenaten, Akhenaten,” the being answered. And then I heard these words, “Look to the Sun, it is all about the Sun!”

Exactly three days after this last encounter, I was looking at the morning light as it came through the window, as usual, but this time it was different. This time the light was filled with visible particles that sparkled and seemed alive and were of the most gorgeous golden hue. I felt a compulsion to get up and look at the Sun to see what was going on. As soon as I made eye contact, Wham!  Information started flying at me at warp speed. I started getting an intense download of information explaining how the Sun opens and energizes all the chakras, creates the light body, and a plethora of other information that was coming at me at such a velocity that I thought I would be smacked back into the wall. After the information download, something happened that English words cannot describe, but I will try by saying I could see beyond a veil, and then had a eureka moment. “God is the Sun!  God is the Sun!  God is right there looking at us all through the Sun!”  That is my crude description of what I felt, for in the moment that I was able to see, I was tossed into a knowing that is beyond words. I was given a glimpse into another realm beyond the physical Sun and felt an overflow of love.

The day after the experience, I started to remember a discussion that Dr. Gibson had given about sun-gazing at the end of one of his seminars. I then did an Internet search on anything that he had said or printed about the Sun at that time. I found the Compilation of Articles, Studies and Research from Dr. Mitchell Gibson, Prof. Hilton Hotima, Wayne H. Purdin, Vinny Pinto, Sunlight and the Miracle of Ages. I wanted to know more, more, and more. There were references to Gene Savoy Sr. in the compilation of articles. I researched him and was led to the Jamilian University, the study of Cosolargy. I was amazed by the program and felt intuitively that it was “Pure Religion” from an ancient source, and this, I knew, was rare. I contacted the university and after testing, received an invitation to study. The knowledge of the sun has greatly impacted my life and opened up a whole new road on this journey of the Soul. For this I feel the utmost gratitude.

I thought while writing this story, that if the average person reads it, equipped with snakes, rainbows, and visits from ancient beings, they would probably think I was a few slices short of a loaf, as they say. I feel here however, that my story will be read by those who understand the process of spirit and know how unique one’s journey can be toward the light. So this is my story. Vive Le Soleil!

(A thank you to the beings, in-body and out, that help lead us toward the path to the spiritual Sun!)

2014 Community Calendar Available

2014 2014-SPM-ICC Community Calendar 2014

As a special gift for this time of year, the Church is presently sending out to all active Community members the Community Calendar for 2014.

For practical purposes, the calendar follows the traditional monthly format beginning with January, but it contains all the significant dates of The Community’s Sacred Calendar, which begins on February 2nd (refer to Jamil: Child of Light, chapter 27).

In addition to dates for liturgical observance or remembrance, the moon phases for the year are also included. In relation to these moon phases are indicated days to view sunrise or sunset according to the important Lunar/Solar Cycles Generative Technique familiar to Cosolargists who have advanced through The Cosolargy Papers.

Thanks go to Deacon Dr. Stephan Fuelling for compiling and designing the calendar in consultation with the Publishing, Editing and Liturgical departments and with Bishop Gene. Thanks also go to the Reverend Ben Hubbard, who prints the calendar using our printing system at our production facilities located at the Steamboat Hot Springs.

A suggested donation of $20.00 by active Community members would be greatly appreciated to help defray costs for producing the calendar. Corresponding members may contact the Church offices to request a calendar for the same suggested donation.

January 25, 2014: Chapel Readings

PHOTO: Roger Weld

PHOTO: Roger Weld

Each week of the liturgical year, a reading from Second Advent Scripture is delivered as part of the Saturday Communion of Fellowship Service held in the Chapel of the Holy Child. This reading follows the Sacred Calendar of the Church; that is, Prophecies and Revelations that have been received by The Church on sacred dates are recalled in a liturgical context during the appropriate season each year. This reading is delivered by the Officiant of the Communion Service (that is, Bishop Gene Savoy, or occasionally in his stead, Bishop Sean Savoy) just before the final blessings. Each service also includes a reading from the ancient scriptures, prayers, or wisdom sayings of various world religions past and present and is usually thematically related to the Second Advent Reading. This reading is delivered by the Reader right after the announcements that begin the service and is thus the first reading of the service. An audio recording of the reading from Second Advent Scripture delivered on the date above is provided here below together with a transcript of the first reading of the service that day.

ANCIENT SCRIPTURE AND WISDOM SAYINGS

A Reading from the Prophet Isaiah 61:

The nations shall see your righteousness,

And all rulers your glory.
You shall be called by a new name,

Which the mouth of the Lord will name.
You shall also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord

A royal diadem In the hand of your God.
You shall no longer be termed Forsaken,
Nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate;
For the Lord delights in you,

I will speak of the lovingkindness of the Lord
And the praises of the Lord,
According to all that the Lord has bestowed on us,
And the great goodness toward his people,
Which He has bestowed on them according to His mercies,
According to His manifold lovingkindness.
For He said, “Surely they are My people,
Children who will not lie.”
So He became their Savior.
And the Angel of His Presence saved them;
In His love and in His pity He redeemed them;
And He bore them and carried them
All the days.

“Mysticism, Occultism and Illumination”

2013-REP-Harold_Boulette_Solar_Wind

“In its essence, the whole subject under consideration is the extension of consciousness to planes of experience which are not available for the physical senses, and out of that extended experience comes the whole gamut of supernormal experience. Might we not agree, then, to denominate the whole field by the term ILLUMINISM and to subdivide it primarily into two branches—Mysticism, and Occultism? Into these two divisions it will be bound that all the different transcendental movements can be assigned as their affinities lean towards the one or the other. . . . MYSTICISM aims at the speediest possible attainment of the Divine Union of the soul with its source. In order to achieve this it eliminates all that causes separation.” ~Dion Fortune

“Actually, I think illumination applies more to mysticism than occultism, but let’s not quibble. The area that is of primary interest to us is the part Ms. Fortune calls mysticism, although the two areas do overlap at times.”

INSIGHT: Dream, Vision, and Paranormal Experience Forum: January 2014

This is your forum to share higher-level experiences in Cosolargy through the images of your dreams and visions. All postings are anonymous. Send in verbal descriptions and, if you have them, drawings or paintings.

The primary value in these postings is simply to allow others to see that people do have relevant or meaningful dreams and visions. Another value is to see if others find that the dreams and visions we post are similar or identical to their own. This is why we ask for your comments.

Dreams are communications from the unconscious mind and sometimes the higher self. Some are simply compensation for attention directed elsewhere during the day; some are indications of bodily processes, and some help us work through conflicts. Occasionally, they communicate information from higher realms and thus have more than individual value.

As Cosolargists, we are learning to navigate higher realms. Dreams are part of these higher realms. The Worlds of Light, the realm of spirit, sometimes breaks through to the psyche and gives us information. What breaks through deserves our attention and analysis. In this section of the Community Communique, we offer Community members a forum for sharing their dreams and visions for the edification of the Community and themselves.

Vision No. 1

2014-REP-lotus-position_sunrise When I began my studies in Cosolargy (some years ago), I remember receiving my fifth Academy text [Science of Generated Existence]. There was a technique involving deep light inflection in which an attitude of universal harmony with all things was the object. I went out one morning and sat down in a field waiting for the sun to rise. I sat in a lotus position, my eyes focused inward to the center of my forehead and was trying to imagine a state of being in harmony with all things. The sun came up over the horizon, and I sat there for a few minutes doing my technique and then, in a flash, I found myself in the center of the earth, in a lotus position. My body was a bluish white light encased in a sphere of colors. The earth itself had become this huge crystalline sphere, and I was in the center of it.

From the center of my being I began to expand outward toward the edges of the earth-sphere in all directions, 360 degrees. I was not, from a rational point of view, making this happen. I was not in control of the process; I was part of it. When I reached the outer edge of the earth I became aware of all the people in all the countries simultaneously. I observed them going about their various activities, and I could hear them speaking in all their different languages, and I understood them. I was not analyzing any of this; it was just coming to me in a sense of acceptance. I was overwhelmed with the sense of compassion and unity with humanity. I kept expanding past the earth out into the cosmos. It was so incredible, this experience of oneness; a merging and unity with the cosmos. I really can’t put words to it; I don’t know how. The spectacle of it all was so incredibly beautiful.

There was no guide; nobody was directing me; there was no “presence.” Then the strangest thing happened—how do I say this other than to say that I became aware of what was happening, my rational mind came into play, analyzing. At that moment I instantly found myself back in my physical body. I felt this incredible peace, my body felt weightless. When I got up and started to walk I couldn’t feel the ground beneath my feet. For days I was in another world, trying to put it all together. The experience had such a profound affect on me that it completely changed the way I viewed life, and of course myself. I tried for years to experience that again but was never able to. The memory of it is always there, though. Perhaps once is enough.

Paranormal Experience No. 1 : “Lapsense”

It is late spring, just after Pentecost Sunrise Service. Most everybody is already at the Outdoor Refectory, having their coffee, chatting, and chomping.

Two of us are lagging behind, almost there, walking up the last leg of the pathway. Both of us are silent with each other. We are listening only to the wave of conversation coming from the Refectory. It is fluttering but not particularly dense. We arrive there, in the crowd, and something very peculiar happens: I can’t understand a single word anyone is speaking. The breaks between individual words are distinguishable. The cadence and melodic forms are easy to hear, but there is no content. In fact, for about five seconds I could make out no relevance in this sound activity. Why would people be doing such a thing? It all seemed without reason. Why is this murmuring so substantial for these engagements? These are the thoughts I’m having, but they are thoughts without the use of words. Slowly the meaning of a few words in the conversations begin to have meaning, and within 10 seconds my entire language recognition returns.

What was all that? Ah, probably just a neural glitch or momentary lapse of reason.

Several months go by. It happens again. Same setting. Refectory after Sunrise. Same format of perceptual events. A year goes by. It happens again in exactly the same place, manner, and setting. Ok. This can’t be just a coincidence—never happens anywhere else and at no other time. Hmmm, maybe others have experienced this? I found one other, and it happened for them at the same location. It happened immediately after Sunrise and occurred nowhere else.

So, what is this phenomenon? (Comical comments, also welcome.)

A celebration of the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela, who passed away on December 5, 2013, was held at the Atlantis Hotel & Casino Resort on Monday, December 16, 2013. The event was presented by the Nevada Clergy Association (NCA) and organized by Reverend Howard Dotson of Spanish Springs Presbyterian Church and Bishop Gene Savoy Jr., NCA president. Both Bishop Gene Savoy Jr. and Rt. Rev. Sean Savoy of the International Community of Christ spoke in the program along with other interfaith leaders.

Bishop Gene Savoy provided his reflections on the similarities of Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr., and Mahatma Gandhi. A summary is provided here:

“On behalf of the Nevada Clergy Association, I welcome you and thank you for coming to this very special memorial of a great leader of out times. The ‘last great civil rights leader of the 20th century,’ as President Obama put it last week.

“It is wonderful to be here with you today – in fellowship, peace and unity – as we celebrate the life, legacy and work of Nelson Mandela. So much has already been said, and we have watched, read, and learned so much about this fascinating man for many decades.

“A couple of years ago, I had the opportunity to travel to South Africa. While in Johannesburg, I visited a jail. It was the same jail that the Mahatma Gandhi inhabited as a young lawyer when he was forging the way of non-violent civil resistance about 100 years ago.

“As a young man studying law in London, Gandhi was fascinated by the English system of justice – its laws and, most importantly, the equity in the law. However, he was much less impressed with the fact that justice wasn’t blind. It certainly wasn’t blind to color. And thus he began a movement of non-violent resistance which he had learned about by studying the Transcendentalist movement in America, which took place in the early 1800’s. That movement which Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau explored as well.

“So why do I bring up Gandhi at an event honoring Mandela? It is because Mandela was in a line of righteous individuals who followed this path. The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Journeyed to India to learn of the works of Gandhi. And Nelson Mandela was born in, and a part of, the country, people, and land where Gandhi got his start in civil disobedience – a start that would send him to his native land to expel the British from almost 400 years of domination in India.

“Mandela’s vision, however, was unique, in that, of the three, he switched from violent resistance to non-violent resistance and developed his values while in the solitude of a jail cell – not for merely weeks, months or years, but for almost three decades. He was not only a great orator but, more importantly, someone who could bring people together. When most of us in the world were waiting for South Africa to explode into civil war, Mandela showed us how a nation could so quickly change with very little bloodshed and not collapse.

“We all believe and know that slavery of any and every kind is wrong. But slavery comes in many masks. Gandhi wished to end poverty in India. Dr. King, after civil rights legislation was passed in this country, also sought to end poverty. Mandela, due to his age and health was not able to achieve that same goal. But it is a goal which all three great leaders had in common. It is a goal that we should also have in common. For poverty is indeed slavery. And we see it more and more every day in this great country of ours.

“With this in mind, as president of the Nevada Clergy Association, I invite all of you to attend our Martin Lither King Jr. celebrations on January 19th and 20th.

“Thank you for being here today.”
