Wise Men Know the Nature of Things

“The earthly and wayward seek only after outward pleasures and the satisfaction of the body. They fall into the snare of disbelief in the soul, and the Law decrees that disbelief shall be easy.
“Wise men, knowing the nature of immortal things, seek not for anything stable here among unstable things.
“That by which we know the texture of things, by which we taste, smell and hear, by which we experience the tenderness and suffering of love and perceive the beauty of nature, by which we value the glory of self sacrifice, by that we are also assured of something immortal within us.
“For when a man comes to the realization that it is by the soul within him that he knows and experiences all things about him, he has taken the first great step towards conscious immortality.”
The Kolbrin Bible (MPR:3:23-26)
The Earthly and Wayward
The earthly and wayward seek for material pleasures as the only things of value in life. They either don’t believe in anything spiritual, or they believe that they can wait until they are physically dead to worry about the spirit. Both of those beliefs are false.
Disbelief Shall be Easy
When the quote says that the law decrees that disbelief in the soul “shall be easy,” it is referring to the false law of the Demiurge, not the true Law of God. God’s Law is that we should believe in the Spirit and Soul and that we should develop those spiritual faculties while we are still in the physical world.
Wise Men Know
Wise men and women know the nature of immortal things. They know that it is spiritual things that are immortal, so they do not seek immortal things in the physical realm, what the quote calls “unstable things”. Many know that some spiritual teachers of the past said that nothing physical is real. What they meant is that nothing physical is permanent. Only the Spiritual is permanent. Only the spiritual comes from God.
Love and Beauty
Knowing love and beauty does assure us that there is something immortal within us, as the quote says. Of course, this only goes for real Love, which is universal, and real beauty that is not defined by things that are temporary, and definitely not by things altered with cosmetics and surgery. Real beauty is more than what’s on the surface.
Conscious Immortality
It is true that when we learn that it is through the spirit and soul that we know what and experience reality, it is the first step towards conscious immortality. Indeed, one of the purposes of spiritual development techniques is to gradually rise to higher and higher levels of consciousness until we reach the highest level where God and the Angels dwell.
Since this article is short, I’ve decided to add a few lines from a very spiritual song that few spiritual people seem to know about. The song is Hummingbird by Seals and Crofts.
“Haven’t you noticed the days somehow keep getting longer, and the spirit voice grows stronger in us all.
Haven’t you noticed the Rays, the Spirit Sun grows stronger, and a new day is dawning for us all.”
