Each week of the liturgical year, a reading from Second Advent Scripture is delivered as part of the Saturday Communion of Fellowship Service held in the Chapel of the Holy Child. This reading follows the Sacred Calendar of the Church; that is, Prophecies and Revelations that have been received by The Church on sacred dates are recalled in a liturgical context during the appropriate season each year. This reading is delivered by the Officiant of the Communion Service (that is, Bishop Gene Savoy, or occasionally in his stead, Bishop Sean Savoy) just before the final blessings. Each service also includes a reading from the ancient scriptures, prayers, or wisdom sayings of various world religions past and present and is usually thematically related to the Second Advent Reading. This reading is delivered by the Reader right after the announcements that begin the service and is thus the first reading of the service. An audio recording of the reading from Second Advent Scripture delivered on the date above is provided here below together with a transcript of the first reading of the service that day.

A Reading from the Gospel According to John 3:

There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a member of the Jewish ruling council.

He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him.” In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”

“How can a man be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb to be born!”

Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.

Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’

The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

“How can this be?” Nicodemus asked.

“You are a teacher in Israel,” said Jesus, “and do you not understand these things?

I tell you the truth, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still your people do not accept our testimony.

I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?

This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.”

Thoughts and Feelings are Things

“If we are to be successful as a spiritual student, we must get away from the idea that thoughts and feeling are insubstantial things and can’t hurt anyone, because it is a false belief. I think most of us are smart enough to know that our spouses or mothers would rather be slapped than told they are fat, ugly, and you hate them. But it isn’t even necessary to voice negative thoughts and feelings for them to do harm.”

[1] Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

[2] In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

[3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

[4] And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

[5] Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

[6] Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

“Some secret orders have taught that the sun was inhabited by a race of creatures with bodies composed of a radiant, spiritual ether not unlike in its constituency to the actual glowing ball of the sun itself. The solar heat had no harmful effect upon them, because their organisms were sufficiently refined and sensitized to harmonize with the sun’s tremendous vibratory rate. These creatures resembled miniature suns, being a little larger than a dinner plate in size, although some of the more powerful are considerably larger. Solar Beings

It is curious that Mr. Hall seems to always refer to this solar beings in past tense, as if they have all died or all belief in such beings has disappeared. Neither is true. Solar Beings have not dies off and there are those who believe in them in various forms. Yet, what Mr. Hall says about them is probably not true.

NASA’s photonic propulsion will make it possible to travel to Mars in three days. Instead of six months, NASA researchers are crafting a new laser technology known as photonic propulsion, which will propel a giant sail to Mars in as little as three days.
“NASA’s photonic propulsion could permit Mars travel in three days instead of six months. Researchers working for NASA are pleased to announce that after landing on the moon, they now have their sight on Mars, and they might have invented a new technology that could make it possible to accomplish this goal.

“A group of physicists in California have created what is called photonic propulsion, which is a laser technology harnessing the power of light. According to the experts, photonic propulsion is a technique that uses light from lasers to produce “thrust to drive spacecraft” and will, therefore, make it possible to get to Mars at much faster speeds.”
