September 9, 2017: Chapel Readings

Each week of the liturgical year, a reading from Second Advent Scripture is delivered as part of the Saturday Communion of Fellowship Service held in the Chapel of the Holy Child. This reading follows the Sacred Calendar of the Church; that is, Prophecies and Revelations that have been received by The Church on sacred dates are recalled in a liturgical context during the appropriate season each year. This reading is delivered by the Officiant of the Communion Service (that is, Bishop Gene Savoy, or occasionally in his stead, Bishop Sean Savoy) just before the final blessings. Each service also includes a reading from the ancient scriptures, prayers, or wisdom sayings of various world religions past and present and is usually thematically related to the Second Advent Reading. This reading is delivered by the Reader right after the announcements that begin the service and is thus the first reading of the service. An audio recording of the reading from Second Advent Scripture delivered on the date above is provided here below together with a transcript of the first reading of the service that day.

SECOND ADVENT PROPHECY AND REVELATION

A Reading from the Prophecy of the End Times, Chapter 82: “Bound for the Emerald Isles” (pp. 621-625).

ANCIENT SCRIPTURE AND WISDOM SAYINGS

A Reading from the Gospel of Philip:

Some are afraid lest they be resurrected naked. Because of this they wish to rise in the flesh, and they do not know that it is those who wear the flesh who are naked. It is those who unclothe themselves who are not naked. “Flesh and blood shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” What is it that will not inherit? That which is on us. But, also, what is it that will inherit? He who has received the Word and the Holy Spirit has food and drink and clothing. . . .

It is not possible for anyone to see anything of the things that actually exist unless he becomes like them. This is not the way with man in the world: he sees the sun without being a sun, and he sees the heaven and the earth and all other things, but he is not these things. This is quite in keeping with the truth. But you saw something of that [higher] place, and you became those things. You saw the Spirit, you became spirit. You saw Christ, you became Christ. You saw the Father, you shall become Father. So in this place you see all things but do not see yourself, but in that place you do see yourself—and what you see you shall become.

SECOND ADVENT PROPHECY AND REVELATION

A Reading from the Prophecy to the Races of Man, Chapter 69: “The Parousia” (pp. 448-453).

ANCIENT SCRIPTURE AND WISDOM SAYINGS

A Reading from the Book of Baruch: “The Oath of Secrecy”:

If you would know what eye has not seen nor ear heard
and what has not arisen in the human heart,
and who stands high above all good,
swear to keep the mystery of instruction secret.
Our father, who saw the good perfected in him,
has kept the mysteries of silence secret.
He has sworn and will not waver.
Here is his oath:
“I swear by the one over all, which is the Good,
to keep these mysteries, to tell them to no one,
and not to go from the Good back to the creation.”

When you take this oath, you enter the Good
and see what eye has not seen nor ear heard
and what has not arisen in the human heart.
You drink from the living water,
the washing, the spring of living water bubbling up.
And there was a separation of waters from waters,
and the waters below the firmament belong to the evil creation.
In them are washed those who are earthly and psychic.
The waters above the firmament belong to the Good
and are alive. The spiritual and the living are washed in them
as Elohim was after the washing. He did not waver.

Weekly Message: September 5, 2017

HEAD OVERSEER’S WEEKLY MESSAGE

September 5, 2017

Today marks the beginning of The Community’s annual Convocation of Associates, Consociates and Ministers of the Second Advent. Represented are members of The Community from various parts of the world including Canada, Mexico, Japan, New Zealand, France, Ireland and, of course, the United States.

This year’s schedule consists of a welcoming reception at the Rectory-Abbey on Mt. Carmel overlooking the Truckee Meadows; four sunrise Divine services at the Cathedral Church of the Americas at the Red Rock Consecrated Sanctuary; Communion of Fellowship in the Chapel of the Holy Child along with ordinations into the Jamilian Order; a Light and Sound Healing Forum to beheld at the Steamboat Hot Springs; as well as several presentations delivered by various individuals, including Rt. Rev. Yukinori Matsushita, Rev. Dr. Gary Buchanan, Dr. Karl Maret, Rev. Ted Staver, and Rev. Bruce Kanzelmeyer.

This year, I will be delivering three Counsels, instead of the usual two. They will focus on the importance of Academy students advancing into higher studies in the Sacred College of Jamilian Theology, as well as the importance of participating in the liturgy of the Church with more in-depth techniques for personal and collective transformation. I will also be commemorating the 10th anniversary of my late father’s passing on September 11, 2007 with a dissertation on his life’s spiritual quest and mission with an emphasis on his explorations in Peru and the sailing of the three Ships of Light – Feathered Serpents I, II and III. I know it will be a most fulfilling and inspiring week.

After Convocation, I will be on sabbatical for the remainder of September, resuming my usual duties when I return. Until then, this will be my last communication with you until October. Upon my return, I will be focusing on growing our student base within the Jamilian University and making our web sites more visible to the general public. I hope soon, also, to have initial plans for our project in Mexico. We have contracted with a designer-builder in Los Barriles, a graduate of Stanford University, who is working on our project and has become part of our team. I will keep you informed as things progress.

In the meantime, I send you my personal blessings and best wishes. I leave you with this passage from the Prophecy of the End Times which complements some of what I will be speaking about this week:

“In the eighteenth year of the Great Work, The Man returned to the Ship of Light. And the Mariners received him with joy, for they would sail to the Emerald Isles [Hawaii] to comply with the prophecies. And on the eleventh day of May, with the setting of the sun and the rising of the moon, the helmsman pointed the oaken bow of the oracle ship towards the sea, sailing out of the harbor of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

“On this day of sailing The Man was completing the fifty-second year of his life. Like the older ship fashioned fifty-four years before, he was destined to make this symbolic voyage. Impelled by a divine force, the ship’s hull strained against the sea, her unsinkable timbers pointed towards the isles three thousand miles distant over the western horizon.

“It was ten years before that The Man had sailed the first ship from Peru to Panama. Twenty years had elapsed since the birth of The Child Jamil + . These time periods were fixed cycles of renewal, and he knew that a change was to come over The Community. The next three years would be a calling out of his disciples, those who would constitute the heart of this nuclear religion of Light. After that, the Great Teaching would begin in the world.”

I encourage you to read the remainder of the Prophecy given on the Ship of Light, the Feathered Serpent II. It can be found in the text in Chapter 82: Bound for the Emerald Isles. Enjoy the reading. It is quite inspirational.

“Scientists create liquid light, get one step closer to spintronics”

“Strange things go on when you push physics to extremes. Extending Moore’s Law to its physical conclusion, we run into problems like the traces in circuits being so small that electrons can quantum tunnel between them. But electrons aren’t the only thing we can use to carry data through circuits. Researchers from Cambridge University have created a semiconductor assembly that blurs the line between electricity and light, and they think we can commercialize it to make optical spintronics — using electron spin in electronics — a reality.

“‘We have made a field-effect light switch that can bridge the gap between optics and electronics,’ says Dr. Hamid Ohadi, coauthor, from the Cavendish Laboratory at Cambridge. ‘We’re reaching the limits of how small we can make transistors, and electronics based on liquid light could be a way of increasing the power and efficiency of the electronics we rely on.’

“It started when researchers caught a laser with a thin slice of semiconductor material in a tiny, mirrored microcavity. This arrangement forced the photons to interact with the semiconductor excitons (excited electrons, bound to the “hole” created when they become excited) and produce a superfluid made of half-light, half-matter chimera quasi-particles called polaritons.”

HEAD OVERSEER’S WEEKLY MESSAGE

August 29, 2017

This week, I’d like to concentrate on a few points having to do with the Eight Aspects of the spiritual Sun. Before doing so, let me emphasize, as hard as it is to believe in the world today in its present condition, that Man and Woman need only but accept God’s Love and the helping hands of the Angels of Light who exist to assist us in the Ultimate Advent of God’s Appearance, which we call the Second Advent.

The religions of the world, who were guardians of the previous revelations given to the Holy Ones of former generations, also need to embrace the new Holy Visitation within their own traditions, customs and languages in order that the New Revelations given afresh fulfill the them — the older religions. The Child, Jamil, who was and is the Servant and Messenger of God, is the Protector of all religions, if they but accept God’s Gift, which is the Sun of Righteousness, that acts as a shield against oppressors and Dark Powers that even now conspire against them and the people seeking to let loose its reign or terror. We see this happening almost on a daily basis.

If the religions look to the Guardian of the Revelations, the Wondrous Child, for instruction and fellowship, searching their own scripture for confirmation of his coming, then God, as Supreme Peacemaker, will unite all the religions into One True Religion of Light as a unifying principle. This is the Will of the Light.

Exemplification of The Child is an act of universality which prepares us to live The Way under the Sun. And those who live The Way are prepared to behold the Light of God’s Appearance under the New Covenant. For God has removed the veil from the face of the sun so that the righteous might see The Image and hear The Word. Only the righteous have eyes to see and ears to hear. Those of wickedness and darkness do not.

But, God, out of benevolent Goodness, shines His Love equally on every living creature. This is the true Equality even though each person is free to live the Way of God or the ways of the world. The Light of God’s Justice is manifest in the Sun. God comes to rule those of Light, not those of Darkness. He comes to save the Good from the Dark in order that Goodness can live in Peace forever.

God’s Image and Word are manifest in the spiritual Sun which is lit in Heaven and observed on Earth by the Ordained. And this brings us to the Eight Aspects of the Spiritual Sun. They are, in order, 1) Righteousness, 2) Judgment, 3) Justice, 4) Peace, 5) Enlightenment, 6) Resurrection, 7) Salvation, and 8) Truth.

God is Good. God is Love. Those who yearn and want to know God must live The Way, which is to live in imitation of The Child and the Eight Appearances to the best of our abilities. This does not require us to be perfect. However, those reborn as the Image of God and filled with His Word are One with Him. That is you and me. Let’s live The Way together the best we can. God and the Light will bless us for it.

Once again, please feel free to ask me any questions by calling 775-786-7432 or emailing me at messages@cosolargy.org. I am always at your service.

SECOND ADVENT PROPHECY AND REVELATION

A Reading from the Prophecy of the Universal Theocracy, Chapter 88: “The Universal Theocracy” (pp. 879-889).

ANCIENT SCRIPTURE AND WISDOM SAYINGS

A Reading from the Gospel of Thomas (83-87, 90-94, 96, 99-101, 110-111, 113):

(83) Jesus said, You see images but the light within them is hidden in the image of the father’s light. He will be disclosed, but his image is hidden by his light.
(84) …When you see your likeness you are happy. But when you see your images that came into being before you and that neither die nor become visible, how much will you bear!
(85) …Adam came from great power and wealth, but he was not worthy of you. Had he been worthy, he would not have tasted death.
(86) …Foxes have their dens and birds have their nests, but the human child has no place to lay his head and rest.
(87) …How miserable is the body that depends on a body, and how miserable is the soul that depends on both.

(90) Jesus said, Come to me, for my yoke is easy and my mastery gentle, and you will find rest for yourselves.
(91) They said to him, Tell us who you are so that we may believe in you. He said to them, You examine the face of heaven and earth but you have not come to know the one who is in your presence, and you do not know how to examine this moment.
(92) Jesus said, Seek and you will find….
(93) Do not give what is holy to dogs. They might thrown them on the manure pile. Do not throw pearls to swine. They might grind it to bits.
(94) …One who seeks will find. For one who knocks it will be opened.

(96) Jesus said, The father’s kingdom is like a woman who took a little yeast , hid it in dough, and made large loaves of bread. Whoever has ears should hear.

(99) (His) students said to him, Your brothers and your mother are outside. He said to them, Those here who do the will of my father are my brothers and my mother. They will enter my father’s kingdom.
(100) They showed Jesus a gold coin and said to him, Caesar’s people demand taxes from us. He said to them, Give Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, give god the things that are god’s, and give me what is mine.
(101) Those who do not (despise) their father and mother as I do cannot be my students, and those who do not love their father and mother as I do cannot be my students. For my mother brought me forth but my true mother gave me life.

(108) Whoever drinks from my mouth will become like me. I myself shall become that person, and the hidden things will be revealed to that one.

(110) …You who have found the world and become wealthy, renounce the world.
(111) The heavens and earth will roll up in your presence and you who live from the living one will not see death. Shame on the flesh that depends on the soul. Shame on the soul that depends on the flesh.

(113) His students said to him, When will the kingdom come? Jesus said, It will not come because you are watching for it. No one will announce, “Look, here it is.” or “Look, there it is.” The father’s kingdom is spread out upon the earth and people do not see it.
