“Optics in a Non-linear World: When UV Light Changed Earth”

“Most modern technology works electronically by making electrons do the things we want them to do on semiconductors.  All electronic semiconductor circuits work on the basic idea that any given electrons can influence the control of other electrons and holes adjacent to those electrons.  This implies that we can use one current to control another in a specific way we want to engineer.  That is what a transistor gave mankind in the technology revolution.

“What happened 600 million years ago was biology’s Big bang and lead to a technology revolution by changing a bacteria into a mitochondria that could reverse the photosynthetic process.  What was the stimulus to this change?  I believe incident light was the stimulus that lead to this change.  I think this new release of UV light from the sun was slowed down by parts of the cell that led to structural change of things with mass inside the cytoplasm. Our class star is expected to undergo this frequency change in midlife.  600 million years ago the sun was in this mid life time span.  UV light spiked and made the surface skin of the planet more transparent to sunlight.  This had a massive impact on the planet’s life forms.  At the time solar power was raised some other things occured on the surface of Earth.  More UV light penetration meant more oxygen would be liberated in the atmosphere from ozone and in the seas photosynthesis was super charged to make both DHA and oxygen at the same time in the seas.”

“Ultimate Consciousness and Becoming One with It”

“The ‘Absolute Consciousness,’ they tell us, ‘behind’ phenomena, which is only termed unconsciousness in the absence of any element of personality, transcends human conception. Man, unable to form one concept except in terms of empirical phenomena, is from the very constitution of his being to raise the veil that shrouds the majesty of the Absolute. Only the liberated Spirit is able to faintly realize the nature of the source whence it sprang and whither it must eventually return. … The Finite cannot conceive the Infinite, nor can it apply to it its own standard of mental experiences.” ~H. P. Blavatsky

Ultimate Consciousness

The first sentence in the quote is difficult to follow, so lets simplify it. Absolute Consciousness transcends human conception. That is really all it says. Absolute Consciousness, or Ultimate Consciousness being another name for the All Being, or God. It would be more accurate, however, to say that the Ultimate Consciousness is beyond the understanding of the human brain-mind.

Our brain-mind exists to help us function in the world of matter. It was not meant to function in the realms of spirit and therefore cannot understand spiritual things except in a very abstract way. It can accept the existence of spiritual worlds, but is not very useful for operating in those worlds. And since Ultimate Consciousness is pure spirit, the brain-mind cannot understand it.

WEEKLY MESSAGE: April 4, 2018

HEAD OVERSEER’S WEEKLY MESSAGE

April 4, 2018

I hope you had an enjoyable traditional Easter Sunday as celebrated in the West. The Reno Community gathered at the Cathedral Church of the Americas at the Consecrated Sanctuary and experienced a very wonderful sunrise as we began the month of April. In March, we experienced much snow and rain, so it was nice to have a clear sky and no wind.

In keeping with the Easter theme, let me say that the New Testament can sometimes be confusing, contradictory and controversial in dealing with the question of immortality. But, let me share some verses with you which, I believe, make this concept clear. This from the 12th chapter of the Gospel of John which speaks of life everlasting and how one must use the Christ Light to attain it:

23…The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. 24 Verily, verily, I say unto you…25 He that loveth this life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. 26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. 27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour. 28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again. 29 The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him. 30 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes. 31 Now is the judgement of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. [John 12]

35…Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. 36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light… [John 12]

44…He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. 45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. 46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. 47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him on the last day. 49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. 50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting…. [John 12]

We know that Jesus – the Christ – not only received the Word of God, but that the Logos incarnated within his Spirit. He became the Living Word of God manifest in Man. Yes, he was the Messiah of Aaron and of Israel, but he, like so many others of his Christ Brothers, received the mantle of the Office of Christ on Earth. But we also know that Jesus prophesied a future time – a time when Christ, the celestial and mediating force between God and Man, would appear not in human form but out of the heavens in great power and glory. And this prophesy echoed the older prophecies of Isaiah and Malachi.

1 See the day is coming, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stuble; the day that comes shall burn them up, says the Lord of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. 2 But for you who revere my name the sun of righteousness shall rise, with healing in its in rays. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall. 3 And you shall tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day when I act, says the Lord of hosts. [Malachi 4]

Malachi is prophesying about the end of times, when God would come again at the Second Advent, when the Sun of Righteousness would appear out of the heavens in splendor and with a Light which had never been bestowed on Earth before. And this Light will feed and nurture the Spirit at the great and final Messianic banquet served from the true Temple of God. The message of Jesus is clear. The need for men and women to partake of the supersubstantial food that nourishes the Soul is found the transubstantiated Sun – the sun of matter – which is transfigured into Spirit.

Once again, we will continue in this vein as we approach True Easter on April 18.

March 31, 2018: Chapel Readings

Each week of the liturgical year, a reading from Second Advent Scripture is delivered as part of the Saturday Communion of Fellowship Service held in the Chapel of the Holy Child. This reading follows the Sacred Calendar of the Church; that is, Prophecies and Revelations that have been received by The Church on sacred dates are recalled in a liturgical context during the appropriate season each year. This reading is delivered just before the final blessings. Each service also includes a reading from the ancient scriptures, prayers, or wisdom sayings of various world religions past and present and is usually thematically related to the Second Advent Reading. This reading is delivered by the Reader right after the announcements that begin the service and is thus the first reading of the service. An audio recording of the reading from Second Advent Scripture delivered on the date above is provided here below together with a transcript of the first reading of the service that day.

ANCIENT SCRIPTURE AND WISDOM SAYINGS

A READING FROM THE GOSPEL OF THOMAS

Jesus said, “Show me the stone that the builders rejected: that is the keystone.”

Jesus said, “Those who know all, but are lacking in themselves, are utterly lacking.”

Jesus said, “Congratulations to you when you are hated and persecuted; and no place will be found, wherever you have been persecuted.”
Jesus said, “Congratulations to those who have been persecuted in their hearts: they are the ones who have truly come to know the Father.
Congratulations to those who go hungry, so the stomach of the one in want may be filled.”

Jesus said, “If you bring forth what is within you, what you have will save you. If you do not have that within you, what you do not have within you will kill you.”

Jesus said, “The Father’s kingdom is like a merchant who had a supply of merchandise and found a pearl. That merchant was prudent; he sold the merchandise and bought the single pearl for himself.
So also with you, seek his treasure that is unfailing, that is enduring, where no moth comes to eat and no worm destroys.”

Jesus said, “I am the light that is over all things. I am all: from me all came forth, and to me all attained.
Split a piece of wood; I am there.
Lift up the stone, and you will find me there.”

Jesus said, “Why have you come out to the countryside? To see a reed shaken by the wind? And to see a person dressed in soft clothes, [like your] rulers and your powerful ones? They are dressed in soft clothes, and they cannot understand truth.”

A woman in the crowd said to him, “Lucky are the womb that bore you and the breasts that fed you.”
He said to her, “Lucky are those who have heard the word of the Father and have truly kept it. For there will be days when you will say, ‘Lucky are the womb that has not conceived and the breasts that have not given milk.'”

Jesus said, “Whoever has come to know the world has discovered the body, and whoever has discovered the body, of that one the world is not worthy.”

Jesus said, “Let one who has become wealthy reign, and let one who has power renounce it.”

Jesus said, “Whoever is near me is near the fire, and whoever is far from me is far from the Father’s kingdom.”

Jesus said, “Images are visible to people, but the light within them is hidden in the image of the Father’s light. He will be disclosed, but his image is hidden by his light.”

Jesus said, “When you see your likeness, you are happy. But when you see your images that came into being before you and that neither die nor become visible, how much you will have to bear!”

Jesus said, “Adam came from great power and great wealth, but he was not worthy of you. For had he been worthy, [he would] not [have tasted] death.”

Jesus said, “Foxes have their dens and birds have their nests, but human beings have no place to lay down and rest.”

Jesus said, “How miserable is the body that depends on a body, and how miserable is the soul that depends on these two.”

Jesus said, “The messengers and the prophets will come to you and give you what belongs to you. You, in turn, give them what you have, and say to yourselves, ‘When will they come and take what belongs to them?'”

Jesus said, “Why do you wash the outside of the cup? Don’t you understand that the one who made the inside is also the one who made the outside?”

Jesus said, “Come to me, for my yoke is comfortable and my lordship is gentle, and you will find rest for yourselves.”

“Physicists create new form of light”

Newly observed optical state could enable quantum computing with photons

Date: February 15, 2018
Source: Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Summary: Physicists have created a new form of light that could enable quantum computing with photons

Scientists at MIT, Harvard University, and elsewhere have now demonstrated that photons can be made to interact — an accomplishment that could open a path toward using photons in quantum computing, if not in light sabers.
PHOTO: Christine Daniloff/MIT

“Try a quick experiment: Take two flashlights into a dark room and shine them so that their light beams cross. Notice anything peculiar? The rather anticlimactic answer is, probably not. That’s because the individual photons that make up light do not interact. Instead, they simply pass each other by, like indifferent spirits in the night.

“But what if light particles could be made to interact, attracting and repelling each other like atoms in ordinary matter? One tantalizing, albeit sci-fi possibility: light sabers — beams of light that can pull and push on each other, making for dazzling, epic confrontations. Or, in a more likely scenario, two beams of light could meet and merge into one single, luminous stream.

“It may seem like such optical behavior would require bending the rules of physics, but in fact, scientists at MIT, Harvard University, and elsewhere have now demonstrated that photons can indeed be made to interact — an accomplishment that could open a path toward using photons in quantum computing, if not in light sabers.”

“Sun of Righteousness and the Light of God”

“God, it is said, is the Sun of Righteousness (cf. Mat. 4:2), and the rays of His supernal goodness shine down on all men alike. The soul is wax if it cleaves to God, but clay if it cleaves to matter. … Clay hardens in the sun, while wax grows soft. Similarly, every soul that, despite God’s admonitions, deliberately cleaves to the material world, hardens like clay and drives itself to destruction. … But every soul that cleaves to God s softened like the wax and, receiving the impress and stamp of divine realities, it becomes ‘in spirit the dwelling-place of God’ (Eph. 2:22).” ~The Philokalia

Sun of Righteousness

While it is reasonable to say that God is the Sun of Righteousness, it isn’t accurate, and may be misleading. Many Christians interpret that as saying that the title “Sun of Righteousness” is just another name for Jesus. It isn’t. The Sun of righteousness is also not the big ball of fire in the sky. The Sun of Righteousness is spiritual, not physical.

WEEKLY MESSAGE: March 28, 2018

HEAD OVERSEER’S WEEKLY MESSAGE

March 28, 2018

This week, hundreds of millions of Western Christians around the world are celebrating Holy Week in commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Next week, Orthodox Christians around the world will do the same. However, we in the Second Advent Church Community observe Easter as a fixed date – April 18 – each year according to the solar, not lunar, calendar. And, of course, in Cosolargy we do not recognize the resurrection of the physical body, only the resurrection of the reborn spiritual or Light Body.

In English, the word “Easter” comes from the Anglo-Saxon Eostre, which can be traced to an important goddess called Hausos. The goddess comes from the proto-Indo European religion, and she is the Goddess of the Dawn. Her name was reconstructed as Ausos, and in India she’s referred to Usas; in Greek Eos; and in Latin Aurora.

The name was derived from the root “To Shine,” thus, translating to “The Shining One.” The English word “East” is derived from this word, also the Latin “Aurum” meaning gold. The dawn goddess was also the Goddess of Spring. In the Anglo-Saxon world, also in the Germanic world, this time – this Easter or Eostre – was called “Eosturmonath” – or “Easter Month” – which was celebrated for the entire month of April. The Goddess of Spring was involved in the mythology of the Indo-European new year when the Dawn Goddess was liberated by God from imprisonment. She is known in the Rigveda as Indra and in ancient Greek mythology as Dionysus. So we see that it is a very important time of the year.

But how do we in the Second Advent/Cosolargy Community reconcile ourselves with this ancient observance? How do we – who do not accept the physical resurrection of the body – harmonize ourselves with this “holy week” which emphasizes the pain, sorrow and suffering of Jesus? How do we – who do not teach that he was the sacrificial Passover lamb, an offering acceptable to God whose blood is shed daily on the alters of churches around the world everywhere and that the shedding of his blood, however ritualistically, was an atonement for the sins of the world— come to terms with this notion? How do we come to terms with those many, many millions of people who do? And, how do we – who reject that Christ’s crucifixion was “good” or that it was the Will of God, holding instead that it was the murder of a Son of Light by the civil and religious authorities of the day – how do we bring that in to accord with our own teaching and theology?

We do so by emphasizing what we know to be Christ’s true message: First, that we are all endowed by the Creator of our Spiritual Beings with an eternal and immortal Soul, if we but cause that divine generative force – Christ or the Word – to penetrate into that spiritual womb. Second, that once we consent to the Word of God – the Logos – being allowed to impregnate our Spirit, that Spirit becomes animated by the Thought and Will of God the Father and becomes a living, breathing, conscious Soul, able to reason on heavenly things. Third, that once imbued with Christ Consciousness, the Soul, released from the cycle of generated existence, recalls and remembers its history and origin and consciouslyparticipates in the Worlds of Light, continually partaking of a divine Communion.

This was the message of Christ Jesus. This is what was symbolized by the Last Supper – the act of the reborn, conscious Soul partaking of the True Communion, feeding off the Word of God – the Bread from Heaven – and drinking from the Cup filled with God’s Living Water – which is Divine Light. And this is also the message of the Messianic Church of the Second Advent. The beauty of it all is that it can be done in the here and now – that our spiritual immortality and divinity can be realized while we exist in this world. And if that is accomplished, one has received the gift of the resurrection – not as something abstract to wonder about after death, but something one can experience and participate in while one lives in this world. But – and this may be the most difficult of lessons: is to learn to accomplish our spiritual quest in the way that Jesus exemplified it – with peace, love and joy.

I will continue on this theme over the next few weeks as we approach True Easter on April 18th. In the meantime, I wish you a very happy Eosturmonath.

Once again, please feel free to ask me any questions by calling 775-786-7432 or emailing me at messages@cosolargy.org. I am always at your service.
