Each week of the liturgical year, a reading from Second Advent Scripture is delivered as part of the Saturday Communion of Fellowship Service held in the Chapel of the Holy Child. This reading follows the Sacred Calendar of the Church; that is, Prophecies and Revelations that have been received by The Church on sacred dates are recalled in a liturgical context during the appropriate season each year. This reading is delivered just before the final blessings. Each service also includes a reading from the ancient scriptures, prayers, or wisdom sayings of various world religions past and present and is usually thematically related to the Second Advent Reading. This reading is delivered by the Reader right after the announcements that begin the service and is thus the first reading of the service. An audio recording of the reading from Second Advent Scripture delivered on the date above is provided here below together with a transcript of the first reading of the service that day.

A Reading from the Prophet Jeremiah:

The time is coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant. . . .
It will not be like the covenant I made with your forefathers
when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt,
because they broke my covenant, though I was a husband to them,”

“A few days ago, someone on a Facebook spiritual group was bragging that he knew Self. He claimed that since he knew who he was, he knew Self. He felt that since he knew what he did that morning, he knew Self. Believing that everything about him was himself, he felt he absolutely knew Self. He was totally wrong.”

Good morning. I have unexpectedly been called to Mexico for some important business issues regarding The Community’s property in Baja California Sur. Therefore, my weekly message will have to be postponed. I will report to you on the status of our project in Mexico when I return. Thank you for your patience and understanding. A Reading from the Gospel According to John 3:

There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a member of the Jewish ruling council.

He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him.” In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”

“How can a man be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb to be born!”

Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.

Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’

The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

“How can this be?” Nicodemus asked.

“You are a teacher in Israel,” said Jesus, “and do you not understand these things?

I tell you the truth, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still your people do not accept our testimony.

I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?

This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.”

HEAD OVERSEER’S WEEKLY MESSAGE

Hello, and good morning. As you know, last week we concluded our annual Convocation here at the Community’s Center in northern Nevada. The highlights, in my opinion, were the beautiful sunrise services we had at the Sanctuary and the several ordinations I was privileged to perform for Consociates advancing in our System. I believe our Community is stronger after the week’s events and our fellowship.

One of the main themes I tried to get across in my presentations to the assembly is the notion that the sole purpose of the Second Advent is the restoration of the Creation to its original state, which is Light. As all races, languages, and religions stemmed out of a single Source, God’s purpose is to reunite the races of Man into a single body for the common good of humanity, of the planet, and of the Universe, all being of one body, one mind, and one Spirit.

In times past, God did send into the world holy teachers and sacred teachings to instruct people that they can be partakers of their divine Nature. This was the message of Jesus and was exemplified by him during and after his life in this world. He not only fulfilled the religion of the Jewish people, he also brought forth a teaching that was meant for all peoples in the ancient world. This is important to understand. His was truly a universal teaching.

Sadly, his teaching was perverted, corrupted, and eventually lost due to his crucifixion and the martyrdom of the early apostles and disciples. False apostles and false disciples led the people astray. What was to become Christianity became nothing more than an amalgamation of the beliefs and practices scattered throughout the Roman Empire. His teaching was corrupted and perverted. And thus, the Light that Christ brought into the world was withdrawn.

Yet we know that God, through a self-manifestation in Light, has now assumed the Office of Christ Himself and is now the direct Mediator between Himself and Man. This manifestation in Light has created a New Sun unlike any other sun before. It is increasing in intensity to shine brighter manifold. Eventually, this New Sun will create a new Earth wherein dwells all righteousness so that all righteous people may have a dialogue with God.

God’s Sun of Righteousness gives the living bread of which Jesus spoke. God’s Light is given to the world for the sustenance and nourishment of our immortal bodies of Light. We must, therefore, eat of this Light , which is divine Food, if we are to attain our spiritual immortality.

It is our charge — each and every one of us – to build a Community of Light from people brought out of all the races on the planet. It is also our charge to teach those individuals seeking, hungering, and thirsting for spiritual enlightenment, awakening, and consciousness. Those communing with the Light under the metanoic blessing of the Community receive a special grace. This special grace is extended so that they may receive a blessing from God’s strong Light and not be burned up, as the wicked will be. For God’s Light comes to judge the world by its brightness .

This Teaching is as an ark carrying the faithful over the Sea of Light which is flooding the world in order to bring about the New Creation. Knowing this, reflect to God’s Sun in Love and Peace. By so doing, we oppose the Powers of Darkness who do marshal against us.

NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory satellite took these images of the Sun at three different wavelengths. The top row shows the Sun on 2 February 2014 during an active phase with several sunspots. The bottom row shows the Sun on 3 March 2018 during a period of low solar activity with no sunspots. The left-hand images were taken in the extreme UV wavelength region (17.1 nm), the center images were taken in the far UV region (170 nm), and the right-hand images were taken in the visible region (450 nm). Dark sunspots cause a small decrease in irradiance in the visible band, but they increase irradiance in the ultraviolet bands. Several international initiatives are working to stitch together data describing solar forcing of Earth’s climate. Their objective is to improve understanding of climate response to solar variability.

“Compared to other stars, our Sun is a remarkably steady source of light and heat, but its output does vary. Solar light, heat, and particle streams drive weather and atmospheric chemistry, but how (and how much) does the Sun’s variability affect the climate here on Earth? The role of solar variability in recent global warming is not just a bone of contention; it is also a question of overriding importance for the scientific understanding of our Sun and of climate change.

“Scientists simulate historical and future climates by setting up a suite of initial conditions and seeing how these conditions change when various factors, called forcings, are applied. For example, how does Earth’s surface temperature change if it receives more or less heat from the Sun? How do the streams of ionized particles that make up the solar wind affect certain weather patterns on Earth? Data sets compiled from historical records provide the necessary information for model forcing, so ensuring that these data sets provide accurate, relevant information is key to producing realistic climate model scenarios.

“Recently, a series of initiatives brought together scientists working on different aspects of this highly multidisciplinary issue. These efforts shared several common objectives, including better estimates of solar forcing and identifying and quantifying the uncertainties in these estimates.”

Christ Light

“Whether you call it spiritual light, higher light, or Christ Light doesn’t matter. What is important is that you understand that this is something beyond ordinary physical light. Spiritual light operates on higher frequencies than physical light. When Ruysbroeck calls it “this simple light,” he doesn’t mean simple as in simple-minded. He means simple as in pure and uncomplicated. It isn’t really uncomplicated, however. Within that light is stored all the wisdom and truth of reality. It is uncomplicated in the sense that it carries pure truth, unpolluted with the deceptions of matter. Yet it carries all truth, so that cannot be considered simple.”

The photograph here was taken at the Sanctuary on 2 September 2018 by Consociate David Mitchell.  He is using it in a university class on atmospheric physics he is teaching, since it is a perfect example of a sun pillar.  Sun pillars occur when the Sun is near or just below the horizon (in this case it has just barely peeped above the horizon).  Horizontally oriented hexagonal plate ice crystals produce this display.  But science aside, he thought it was a nice picture of possible aesthetic interest.
