June 22, 2019: Chapel Readings

Each week of the liturgical year, a reading from Second Advent Scripture is delivered as part of the Saturday Communion of Fellowship Service held in the Chapel of the Holy Child. This reading follows the Sacred Calendar of the Church; that is, Prophecies and Revelations that have been received by The Church on sacred dates are recalled in a liturgical context during the appropriate season each year. This reading is delivered just before the final blessings. Each service also includes a reading from the ancient scriptures, prayers, or wisdom sayings of various world religions past and present and is usually thematically related to the Second Advent Reading. This reading is delivered by the Reader right after the announcements that begin the service and is thus the first reading of the service. An audio recording of the reading from Second Advent Scripture delivered on the date above is provided here below together with a transcript of the first reading of the service that day.

SECOND ADVENT PROPHECY AND REVELATION

A Reading from The Book of God’s Revelation, BOOK II: “The Seal of God’s New Law” (pp. 125-130).

ANCIENT SCRIPTURE AND WISDOM SAYINGS

A Reading from the Gospel of Thomas 15-37:

(15) When you see one born not of woman, fall on your faces and worship. That is your father. (18) Where the beginning is, the end will be. Blessings on you who stand at the beginning. You will know the end and not taste death. (19) Blessings on you who came into being before coming into being. If…you hear my sayings, these stones will serve you. (20) [Heaven] is like a mustard seed, the tiniest of seeds, but when it falls on prepared soil, it produces a great plant and becomes a shelter for the birds of heaven.

(21) …if the owner of a house knows that a thief is coming, he will be on guard before the thief arrives and will not let the thief break into the house of his estate and steal his possessions. As for you, be on guard against the world. Arm yourselves with great strength, or the robbers will find a way to reach you, for the trouble you expect will come.

(22) …[Jesus] said to his students, These nursing babies are like those who enter the kingdom. They said to him, Then shall we enter the kingdom as babies? [He] said to them, When you make the two one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner and the upper like the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then you will enter the kingdom.

(23) Jesus said, I shall choose you as one from a thousand and as two from ten thousand and they will stand as a single one. (24) Whoever has ears should hear. There is light within a person of light and it shines on the whole world. If it does not shine it is dark. (25) Jesus said, Love your brother like your soul. Protect that person like the pupil of your eye. (27) If you do not fast from the world, you will not find the kingdom….you will not see the father.

(28) I took my stand in the midst of the world, and I appeared to them in flesh. I found them all drunk yet none of them thirsty. My soul ached for the human children because they are blind in their hearts and do not see. They came into the world empty and seek to depart from the world empty. (37) When you strip naked without being ashamed and take your clothes off and put them under your feet like small children and trample them, then you will see the child of the living one and you will not be afraid.

“Sharing Light and Truth With Others”

“The rich and enlightened man shall distribute gifts to all the angelic choirs and all spirits, each in particular according to its merits, out of the richness of his God and out of the generosity of his own ground; which is illuminated and overflowing with great and wonderful gifts. … This enlightened man goes swiftly and in ghostly wise round through all the heavenly hosts, rich and overflowing with charity, and enriching and inundating the whole celestial company with fresh glory out of the richness and abundance of the trinity and unity of the Divine Nature. This is the first going out, towards God and towards all saints.” ~John of Ruysbroeck

Sharing is Caring

Yes, sharing is caring . And it is one of the first things most of us are taught as spiritual students. At least if the school we follow is legitimate. But we are also taught that there are things we should share and things we shouldn’t.

We should share with others that we are on a path of spiritual enlightenment. We shouldn’t share everything we have learned without the permission of our teacher(s). Some things must be kept secret from those who are not ready to learn them. This is for their protection as well as the protection of others.

New Cosolargy Web Site Up and Running

Follow this link to visit the new Cosolargy web site: http://cosolargy.org/

For the past several months the Jamilian University staff has been working with local marketing and design agency Rhinohub to produce an integrated image of the International Community of Christ Church, Cosolargy practice, Project X exploration and research, and Jamilian University educational and training programs for the world wide web accessible to anyone in the world with an internet connection.

In May 2019 the new web site was up and running. The site still needs some tweaking, but it represents the first stage of Cosolargy’s web presence. The next stage of future development will further enhance the site’s blog and discussion of solar techniques.

Further in the future, the site will have pages on all its manifold projects and principles as well as a members section with access to educational materials and the online newsletter Community Communique. We’ll be sending you more messages about the web site, what it does, and how we use it in upcoming weeks.

“Eternal Man and His Eternal Source”

“Because Man was to be eternal, therefore he must come out of the eternal. … Also from eternity, there has been nothing else but the Source where the Deity continually rises up, as is mentioned before.

“And this Source of the spirit of the Soul is eternal, and its tincture is also eternal; as the Source is in it at all times of this world, while it sticks in the elementary House of Flesh, so is the tincture also, and the dwelling house of the soul; and in which source the Mind inclines itself. … It stands in both the gates, so long as it lives in the flesh.” ~Jacob Boehme

Eternal Man

It is logical to say that if man is an eternal being, he must have come from the realm of the eternal. And since only spirit is eternal, that means man came from spiritual realms. Our physical bodies may have evolved from tiny creatures, to apes, to man, but that isn’t the real man. That isn’t eternal man. And it certainly isn’t true that our spirits and souls evolved from the physical body. We were spiritual beings long before we devolved into the realm of matter. The spirit and soul came first.

Eternal Tincture

I believe what Boehme means when he says that the “tincture” of our spirit and soul is also eternal is that if the spirit and soul are eternal, then the realm they came from must be eternal. That is the realm of spirit, and it is indeed eternal. It also means that the Creator of the spirit and soul must be eternal. A finite being could not create the infinite. A being with a limited live span could not create eternal beings. So the spirit and soul must have been created by an eternal being or force. That is the being most of us call God.
