WEEKLY MESSAGE: July 11, 2019

HEAD OVERSEER’S WEEKLY MESSAGE

July 11, 2019

I was reading The Book of God’s Revelation the other day at our Saturday Communion of Fellowship service from, and I thought I would share with you some thoughts from that text because they struck me rather strongly.

The foremost prophecy of Jesus Christ was his proclamation of the coming Second Advent (or Second Coming) of God that would manifest as Divine Light – a Power that would renew the whole world by means of a seven- or eight-fold Light through the Messianic Sun whose rays would burn up wickedness and prepare the Righteous for the return of God. And this is what we teach: that the Second Advent or Second Coming is here. This, of course, is anathema to the traditional or “orthodox” churches and makes us, in ecclesiastical terms heretical or, at least, heterodox, i.e., not conforming to accepted and/or standard beliefs.

However, the Second Advent of God was the basis of the ministry of Jesus. This was the Divine Act he promised would come at a future age when God would manifest Himself as the Savior and Redeemer of the human family and the whole of Creation gone astray. Jesus preached on the Divine Process of procreation and rebirth of Man’s Soul in The Image of God as essential to immortality. The Process was not a matter of written law, scripture, or sacrifice but a Holy Act regulated by the Divine Laws of Heaven.

But, we should also realize that this supernatural act of cosmic rebirth in the End Times was to be preceded by The Tribulations. And this is something that many people forget. So it should be remembered and acknowledged that The Tribulations, which had been foretold by the former prophets, including Christ, is now what the world is undergoing and experiencing.

God is using the supernatural powers of Creation to redeem Souls that are part of His spiritual domain. Therefore, redemption is placed outside the realm of formalized doctrines inherent in the established churches and orthodox religions of the world. This is important to understand and something which these churches do not recognize or acknowledge themselves.

Jesus had also preached of the True God of Heaven, who was not the author of this world, and had declared that those reborn must put away the ways of the world and live The Way of God. This concept was embedded in the cosmology of the Essenes and later adopted by groups such as the Gnostic Christians. Jesus revealed to his disciples the Sacred Way – hidden from the world because of its hallowedness and held secret. They knew that humanity was the progeny of Dark Angels who, having fallen away from the Righteousness of God, lost the power of Spiritual Reason and caused to be generated the Dark Worlds which, in turn, generated the universe of matter.

Any person taking up The Way exposed themselves to the creative and generative forces of the Universe. Therefore, unless one led a disciplined life, a person, being subject to powers greater than one’s own human powers, would seek self-expression – as had the Dark Angels – and fall victim to their influence.

Since time immemorial, these Dark Angels had established themselves as gods over the peoples. As malevolent deities, they demanded sacrifice, appeasement, and enslavement of the human intellect. In exchange for such worship they offered material wealth and power. To any enlightened member of the Order, the result of their rule could be observed on all levels of human activity and in the transitory nature of life in a degenerate world.

The secular religion of the Jerusalem priesthood in control of the Temple, like so many state-regulated religions of the world at large, was deficient in knowledge of the True God preached by Jesus. The priesthood, ignorant of the True God, based their theology on a traditional form of worship, on sacrifice and levitical purity, on moral laws and written scripture that dominated their way of life.

The Temple priests considered the teachings of Jesus to be heretical and heterodox. He was punished and eventually put to death for attempting to alter that which was written. To them, the Teachings of Light were repugnant, abstract, impractical, without value, and threatening. This is a concept that is continued even today in our world, where materialism has replaced religion. Science, commercialism, and government are expected to improve the human condition at the expense of Divine Law and Divine Aid, although in reality Divine Law and Divine Aid regulate the human Spirit.

There is more that I’d like to share with you in this vein, so we will continue on this theme next week.

Once again, if I may be of any personal service to you, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Very truly yours in Light+,

Gene

A Modern Spiritual Community
who engage in a solar practice
The Second Advent Community is the modern representative of the One Great Religion of antiquity. Having knowledge of the System and understanding it, new students of Cosolargy can accomplish on the human level what the ancient practitioners accomplished. Community members have the obligation to present an entirely new religion to the world and to make a place for it so that the System is accepted and acknowledged in society.
We invite you to take a look at the new site and let us know what you think. Above is an image from the explore Cosolargy page and the button below will take you right there.

July 7, 2019: Chapel Readings

Each week of the liturgical year, a reading from Second Advent Scripture is delivered as part of the Saturday Communion of Fellowship Service held in the Chapel of the Holy Child. This reading follows the Sacred Calendar of the Church; that is, Prophecies and Revelations that have been received by The Church on sacred dates are recalled in a liturgical context during the appropriate season each year. This reading is delivered just before the final blessings. Each service also includes a reading from the ancient scriptures, prayers, or wisdom sayings of various world religions past and present and is usually thematically related to the Second Advent Reading. This reading is delivered by the Reader right after the announcements that begin the service and is thus the first reading of the service. An audio recording of the reading from Second Advent Scripture delivered on the date above is provided here below together with a transcript of the first reading of the service that day.

ANCIENT SCRIPTURE AND WISDOM SAYINGS

A Reading from the Writings of Isaiah:

Arise, shine, for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.

For behold, the darkness will cover the earth, and gross darkness the people, but the Lord will are upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you.

And the nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.

Lift up your eyes round above and see all they gather themselves together, they come to you, your sons will come from far and your daughters will be nursed at your side.

Then you will see, and flow together, and your heart will fear, and be enlarge, because the abundance of the sea will be converted to you, the forces of the nation will come to you.

Violence will no more be heard in your land, wasting nor destruction within your borders; but you will call your walls Salvation , and the gates Praise.

The sun will be no more your light by day; neither for brightness will the moon give light to you: but the LORD will be to you an everlasting light, and your God you glory.

“Dave Talbott: Mythology as Undiscovered History | EU2017”

David Talbott of the Thunderbolts Project examines the protocol for cross-cultural investigation, bringing an objective standard to a field of study that scholars have long assumed to be hopelessly subjective.

Is it really possible to identify extraordinary natural events hidden within a carnival of ancient myths and symbols? His claim is that world mythology speaks for “real” history, but only in the sense that every archetype or cross-cultural theme has its referent in extraordinary natural phenomena. Events that are not occurring today were anciently interpreted through the lens of human imagination, as witnesses on earth translated intensely experienced events into the only languages available to them.

By identifying the underlying natural condition, it becomes clear that many different archetypal themes among the early cultures trace back to the same extraordinary events. The remarkable fact is that nothing in our natural experience today will account for a single archetype. And yet, the archetypes are inseparably connected to each other, constituting a substructure of human memory in ancient times. This collective memory would not be possible in the absence of the natural provocation.

“We Are Light, We Are Spirit”

“Then something happened inside of him that transformed his life forever. He looked at his hands, he felt his body, and he heard his own voice say, ‘I am made of light; I am mad of stars.’

“He looked at the stars again, and he realized that its it’s not the stars that create light, but rather light that creates the stars. ‘Everything is made of light,’ he said, ‘and the space in-between isn’t empty.’And he knew that everything that exists is one living being, and that light is the messenger of life, because it is alive and contains all information.
“Then he realized that although he was made of stars, he was not those stars. ‘I am in-between the stars,’ he thought. So he called the stars the tonal and the light between the stars the nagual1, and he knew that what created the harmony between the two is life or intent.” ~Don Migual Ruiz

Made of Light

Ruiz is correct. We are light. Our real self is light. That real self is our spirit and soul. Our physical body is a creation of darkness. Darkness in the sense that much of its light has been removed, so relative darkness, not absolute darkness.

Realization

Unfortunately, when we awaken our body and mind on the material level of being, everything seems to be matter. We don’t remember our spirit and soul. We don’t remember that we are light. Our spirit knows, but it lies dormant within us. Once it is awakened, we realize what we are. We remember that we come from the Great Light and we are light. So how do we awaken the spirit and soul? With light, of course. Specifically, the light of the spiritual sun.

“Taizé Prayer: A service of song, silence & contemplation”

On June 19, 2019 several members of the Second Advent Community — Reverends Robert and Francine Petrovich, Reverend Elizabeth Reece, along with three of Bishop Gene Savoy’s children, Sabrina, Sophia and Helena — visited Carmel of Reno to share in Taizé Prayer, a service of song, silence, and contemplation.

The Carmelite Sisters had prepared a selection of prayerful, melodic verses which were accompanied by violin, piano, guitar, and flute. During the one-hour service, those gathered sang and chanted prayerful lines in unison with the musicians. Before closing the Service there was a ten-minute period of silent contemplation. This could have been a challenge for the children but they were little champions and were rewarded with a bit more serenity than when they arrived, as everyone seemed to be.

The Carmelite Sisters have been friends of the Community for many years, with their Monastery located across the street from our Rectory Abbey on La Fond Drive in Reno. I now have fond memories of an hour of song, silence & contemplation with the Sisters.

WEEKLY MESSAGE: July 3, 2019

HEAD OVERSEER’S WEEKLY MESSAGE

July 3, 2019

Hello. I hope you are doing well and enjoying the season (Summer up North, and Winter down South).

This has been a very busy time for us here at the Community Center in Nevada. We came back from successful and productive trips both in Mexico and Japan, launched new websites for Cosolargy International (http://cosolargy.org) and the Healing Center at Steamboat Hot Springs (http://steamboatsprings.org), and are now fully preparing for this year’s annual Convocation which will run from Tuesday, September 3rd through Sunday the 8th.

As you may know, this year’s conference will also include a special extended two-day training seminar for our global representatives from Japan, Mexico and Australia on Cosolargy and Jamilian University operations as we roll out new outreach methods and procedures. This seminar will take place on Monday and Tuesday, September 9th and 10th and is by invitation only. Convocation is shaping up to be quite an exciting event as we also celebrate and commemorate the 60th anniversary of the founding of The Community in 1959, and I hope you will make every effort to attend.

It was asked of me the other day by a person inquiring into our System/School why we in this Community link spirituality and religion together “in a day and age when religion has very little to do with spirituality.” The individual asked for clarification, and I’d like to share with you my response. This is a common, good and valid question, and one which should always be answered. This is what I wrote:

“The first thing, I think, we need to differentiate between is True Religion and mundane religion. True Religion is the essence of the original teachings of the founders of the great religions before they were corrupted, perverted, changed, etc. This is what has happened to all the great religions over time. Therefore, in my estimation, all religions (or most, anyway) are mundane, meaning that they are earthly or worldly rather than heavenly or spiritual and therefore have become irrelevant in today’s world because they haven’t evolved, adapted or changed to address the cosmic/spiritual energies affecting humanity, the planet, the Universe, etc. today.

“This is why so many have turned away from religion and rightfully so because religion is stuck in the past. Jesus came to amend, supplement and bring new revelations to the Jewish religion of the day which had become stagnant. The Buddha endeavored to do the same with the Brahmin religion that had become corrupted and defiled. And so on. But in today’s world, the religions are stagnant and stuck in the past. So in that regard, it is good and fitting that people leave the old to make way for the new. But what is the new?

“If we speak about True Religion then there are universal and cosmic truths that do not change with the times. The purpose of True Religion is communication or communion with God/the Godhead. To communicate with God — which is Divine Energy, as you know — requires developing the means to do so, i.e., developing latent spiritual faculties which everyone posses but are dormant in the individual. The development of these spiritual faculties must be undertaken with care which translates to the application of certain disciplines and ethics in conjunction with the implementation of certain techniques which have been handed down from time immemorial. These practices have always been employed by those in high spiritual Orders. Please understand that I am not speaking of “religious” orders as we know them today.

“Therefore, the development of spiritual faculties is the domain of spiritual education and training with the ethics and disciplines of high religious order because we are dealing with complex levels of being — physical, emotional, psychological, psychic and spiritual. Providing an environment conducive to this activity is what a true religious Community does in a spiritual manner. These principles do not change from age to age. What does change are the revelations, supplements and amendments to the Teachings of Light that are given in each age according to its needs, as well as its level of ignorance. The world and the human family are in a new age. We require a new, highly spiritual religion which is dynamic and cosmic in nature. I believe this is what Cosolargy offers.

“I hope this addresses some of your concerns. Please feel free to contact me with any follow-ups you may have. If you haven’t already done so, I encourage you to visit our new website at http://cosolargy.org. I send you many blessings in Light+. Gene”

There is obviously a lot more to the answer than that. But it might give you some pointers the next time you are asked the same or a similar question. I look forward to resuming our weekly messages.

Once again, if I may be of any personal service to you, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Very truly yours in Light+,

SECOND ADVENT PROPHECY AND REVELATION

A Reading from The Book of God’s Revelation, BOOK II: “The Seal of God’s New Law” (pp. 130-137).

ANCIENT SCRIPTURE AND WISDOM SAYINGS

A Reading from the Gospel of Thomas (38, 40, 50, 51, 56):

(38) Jesus said, Often you wanted to hear these sayings I am telling you, and you have no one else from whom to hear them. There will be days when you will seek me and you will not find me.

(39)…the Pharisees and the scholars have taken the keys of knowledge and have hidden them. They have not entered, nor have they allowed those who want to enter to go inside. You should be shrewd as snakes and innocent as doves.

(40) A grapevine has been planted far from the father….

(41)…Whoever has something in hand will be given more and whoever has nothing will be deprived….

(42) Come into being as you pass away.

(46) …whoever among you becomes a child will know the kingdom….

(49)…Blessings on you who are alone and chosen, for you will find the kingdom. You have come from it and will return there again.

(50) If they say to you, “Where have you come from?” say to them, “We have come from the light, from the place where the light came into being by itself, established itself, and appeared in their image.” If they say to you, “Is it you?” say, “We are its children and the chosen of the living father.” If they ask you, “What is the evidence of your father in you?” say to them, “It is motion and rest.”

(51) His students said to him, When will…the new world come? (And) he said to them, What you look for has come but you do not know it.

(54) Blessings on you the poor, for yours is the kingdom of heaven.

(56) Whoever has come to know the world has discovered a carcass….

(57) The father’s kingdom is like someone with good seed….

(58) Blessings upon the person who has labored and found life.

(59) Look to the living one as long as you live or you (will) die…and you will not be able to see.

“Positive Energies of the Spiritual Sun”

“The energies of the Sun are positive and act favorably on people. The earth energies are negative and act unfavorably on people. The former energies help humanity to rise, and the latter to descend. Try to tune into the energies that come from above.

“The first violinist in nature is the Sun. The first ray of the sun is the first aria. … The sun is a book, and God write something new in it every day.

“Light is a sign of love. When the sun shines on us that shows that God is sending us light. …

“The Divine world has only one direction, only one point, one source from which all things proceed. This point is called ‘the Eternal East,’ the point of the eternally rising Sun.” ~Biensa Douno

Positive and Negative Energies

While it is essentially true to say that solar energy is positive and earth energy is negative, it can be misleading to put it that way. For one thing, it seems to imply that if one leaves the Earth, he would leave negative energies behind. But there are, in fact, negative energies on the moon, on Mars, on all planets. There may even be negative energies in the sun and the stars, but they are not as strong as the positive ones.

To put it more accurately, there are positive energies that pull us up. Up towards Heaven and higher levels of consciousness. Up towards God. There are also energies that pull us down toward matter and death. That is why it’s a struggle to grow.
