HEAD OVERSEER’S WEEKLY MESSAGE

 

 

 

 

November 13, 2019

Hello. I hope you are well. This is an interesting portion of The Sayings which touch on the evolution of the species by means of the System of Cosolargy and the Sacred Teachings of Light. I trust you will find it as interesting as I do. This portion also stresses, as always, the importance of Community and the special grace, or metanoia, that it affords.

The Tenth Saying (Part 6 of our series)

“And another of the seamen replied to this, the Fourth Mariner to speak. And he said: ‘If it is the baptism of fire, and the light that an individual takes through his eyes into the body that confers immortality, then what are the implications for this system to a blind person who would be precluded from taking the sunlight into the eyes, and taking advantage of this system? Would he automatically then be precluded from gaining immortality, or is there another system for him?’

“And The Man said: ‘That is a good question. The incoming sunlight from the Sun affects the pineal and pituitary glands through the eyes. However, if you face the Sun there are receptors that are going to pick up sunlight. Even by sunbathing and allowing the sunlight to fall on the forehead, your organism will respond to sunlight. A man can still pass through a baptism of fire, be he blind or not, through these techniques, even though they do not involve taking the Sun directly through the eyes. One can do it through the palms of the hands or through the Force Centers, wherever there is a receptor. By exposure, and also by being within the Community, one will experience the very special grace that is present among members of the Community. And physical blindness does not include the spiritual eyes which can see and receive energy from the Sun of Righteousness. Here we have a mystery – the presence of a spiritual energy within the physical energy of the Sun, or perhaps the reverse is true, a material light within a spiritual Light. Whatever the interpretation, our’s is a spiritual adventure that involves the spiritual faculties which the System develops in a person.

“‘Man’s future in the world is as a Being of Light, as a superior being who consumes solar energy – not as a human, in the strictest sense of the word. We pioneers in the Community, that is to say, the present generation of mankind forming the first Community, will be limited on the human level because of certain genetic factors. Our offspring will be more evolved, as will their offspring. Children who have been conceived by parents who are applying the techniques, whose genes will carry a genetic record of solar exposure, will inherit the ability to absorb greater amounts of sunlight. This process will continue as long as the species continues to mate with those of like nature. It will not be for any ordinary religious reasons that we must mate with one another of our kind, but in order to preserve and perpetuate the solar variation in the species.

“‘This is why we stress the concept of unity. Individuals can accomplish so little. When a man and a woman unite there is a power that they share together. Because of their union, new life is brought forth under God. They could not have done this separately. The same thing applies in the Sun – we share the energy of each other. There is a third factor generated in community – a living being which is God’s new church manifest in the world. This is why I am so saddened by people who believe they can look at the Sun, and accomplish the benefits outside the Community. If this were so there would be no need for the Teachings to come into being or for the Messianic Sun to appear. God needs Man together in the Sun in order to produce a new creation on Earth. By working together we can accomplish great things in a short period of time. But more important than individual benefits, is the creation of Children of Light who bear the Light in the genetic code. Our Community assures that within the span of a few decades, or a few centuries, Man will indeed change and survive the coming effects of the Sun. We either believe in the prophecies, that this is an inspired religion, or not. We either believe that there is God, or not. We either believe that God has revealed this higher teaching, or not. We either believe there is a spiritual world, or not. All men are free to believe as they will. If a person rejects the Teachings this does not mean that the Teachings are not valid.

“‘This is what we are faced with – the building of a community that can create, generate, Children of Light for the future, and in time endow the temple of learning, and the temple of healing with teachers who, by nature, are more advanced than we are. Jamil, as a being, was far more advanced than I am, or any of you are. I am sure that our future generations of the Children of Light will be far more advanced than we are. We are creating a new spiritual order. And because of our sacrifice, and because of our dedication, we assure the creation of a church to come. Without us it could not be. We have been preordained to bring this Church into being, as the apostles of Jesus were ordained to bring into being the Church of the First Dispensation. The apostles gave their lives to this end.

“‘Man’s destiny is not the Earth but the Worlds of Light. To assure this inheritance it is necessary for each of us to generate new bodies of Light in Christ – that is, a conception that takes place when God’s Word incarnates within our beings. Therefore, the purpose of this Church is twofold: to bring forth sensitive children, and to bring about our own immortality as individuals. This can only be accomplished in community life.

“‘To accomplish this, Man must adhere to the Golden Way of Light. This religion of Light is the will of God. God willed the coming of Jamil, as He willed the coming of all the holy prophets of times past. Therefore, we are God’s Children in Community doing His will on Earth. The dedication and the sacrifice is great. Once we begin others will follow. It only requires a beginning.‘”

November 9, 2019: Chapel Readings

 

 

Each week of the liturgical year, a reading from Second Advent Scripture is delivered as part of the Saturday Communion of Fellowship Service held in the Chapel of the Holy Child. This reading follows the Sacred Calendar of the Church; that is, Prophecies and Revelations that have been received by The Church on sacred dates are recalled in a liturgical context during the appropriate season each year. This reading is delivered just before the final blessings. Each service also includes a reading from the ancient scriptures, prayers, or wisdom sayings of various world religions past and present and is usually thematically related to the Second Advent Reading. This reading is delivered by the Reader right after the announcements that begin the service and is thus the first reading of the service. ANCIENT SCRIPTURE AND WISDOM SAYINGS

A Reading from the Manichaean Scriptures:

When the First Man had ended his struggle the Father sent forth his Second Son.
He came and helped his brother out of the Abyss.
He built this whole world up out of the mixture
that had come into existence out of Light and Darkness.
All the Powers of the Abyss he spread out; he shut them up into this World and made it a dungeon for all the Powers of Darkness.
This World is also, however, a place of purification of the soul
which had been swallowed up in the Powers of Darkness.
The Sun and the Moon were set up and fixed in the heights to purify the Soul.
They take the refined part daily upward to the heights but they destroy the dross. This whole world stands firm for a season,
since there is a great Building being erected outside the world.
At the Hour when the Architect shall complete it, the entire world shall be dissolved; It shall be set afire, that the fire may melt it away.
All Life, the Remnants of Light in every Place,
he shall gather to himself and form of it an Image.
The Resolution of Death and the whole of Darkness
he shall gather in and make an image of itself along with the Archon.
In a moment the Living Spirit shall come.
It will rescue the Light,
but the Resolution of Death and the Darkness it will
lock away in the chamber that was built for it that it may lie in chains forever.
A New Aeon shall be built in the place of this World, which shall be dissolved,
so that in it the Powers of Light may reign
since they have performed and fulfilled the whole of the Father’s will.

“Ocular Transmission of the Sun’s Light”

 

 

In my last Blog I wrote about Sun-gazing, a topic which was fresh in my mind, having just attended the annual Cosolargy convocation during September. The ritual of Sun-gazing has had a recent surge in popularity. It was practised by a number of ancient cultures, including the Egyptians and Aztecs. Modern-day practitioners who claim success with it start at a minute or less per day and build up their exposure over time. Sunrise and Sunset are the preferred times to view the Sun. An informative source is the movie, ‘Eat the Sun’, available on line, or start with the trailer on You-Tube.

A fact well known to the ancient mystical orders, but less commonly realized among the general public today, is that the eyes not only receive light rays and relay them to the brain, but also transmit energy beams. You can conduct a simple experiment to demonstrate this, by staring at a person some distance from you who is not looking in your direction, even when you are not facing one another. More often than not they will turn to look directly back at you. The more fixed your gaze, the greater the success. Planet Earth is basically a big electro-magnet, and the very substance of the material world we live in is itself a conductive medium. The human is the only mammal whose eye shows the sclera, or white of the eye, which is probably an indicator that we are the only mammal capable of transmitting as well as receiving light energy.

Back in the 1930s, Dr. Paul Brunton coined the term ‘Ocular Radiation’ for this phenomenon[3] but, unfortunately, should you do an on-line search for this phrase today, it will most likely yield information about medical radiation treatment. A more apt title would be ‘Ocular Transmission.’

“Illuminated Consciousness – The Mystic’s Goal”

 

 

“In Illumination we come to the state of consciousness which is popularly supposed to be peculiar to the mystic: a form of mental life, a kind of perception, radically different from that of ‘normal’ men. His preceding adventures and experiences cannot be allowed the quality. His awakening to the consciousness of the Absolute—though often marked by a splendor and intensity which seem to distinguish it from other psychic upheavals of that kind—does but reproduce upon higher levels those characteristic processes of conversion and falling in love which give depth and actuality to the religious and passionate life. The purification to which he then sets himself—though this possesses as a rule certain features peculiar to mystical development—is again closely related to the disciplines and mortifications of ascetic, but not necessarily mystical, piety. … Here, the mystic does but adopt in a more dramatic form the principles which all who would live with an intense life, all seekers after freedom, all true lovers must accept. … The mystic has now a veritable foothold in that transcendental world into which they penetrate now and again.” ~Evelyn Underhill

Illuminated Consciousness

There are many interpretations of what constitutes illumination. There are probably even more about what consciousness is. Underhill here puts the two together and defines it quite simply: illuminated consciousness is that which is “peculiar to the mystic”. That might be a good definition if we were were all familiar with mystics and mysticism. Today, however, few are. For our purposes, we will keep it simple and say that a mystic is one who devotes his life to spiritual development. Real spiritual development, not just the basic first step of meditation.

A major part of spiritual development is the attainment of higher states of consciousness. How many levels of consciousness there are is a matter of conjecture. But we can say that we can’t consider ourselves at all illuminated until we climb to a level of consciousness where we understand the spiritual nearly as well as the physical. These higher states are radically different because they reveal the reality of the physical world as eventually illusion. They further reveal the spiritual realms, which are real and permanent.

The Tenth Saying (Part 5 of our series)

“And when he had finished speaking the Third Mariner said: ‘I remember you mentioning that for a time you could not look at the sun for a period of two years in Peru. What was the reason? Did this have anything to do with the ritual of the baptism of fire of which you speak? Did you become so sensitive to the fire of the physical Sun as opposed to the Light of the spiritual world that you could not consume that Light directly?’

“And The Man answered him saying, ‘I made the mistake of absorbing too much sunlight too soon. My body had not been able to handle the rush of sunlight. I believed I could look at the Sun for hours at a time and restrict my diet to only small amounts of raw fruits and vegetables. It was too much for my poor body. For many years I had isolated myself, then when I came back into the crowed city the negative vibrations, or at least more gross vibrations, put a strain on my own body. I had come from a largely meat-eating family and I had been athletic. The change to the light diet, meditation and long periods of inactivity while absorbing too much Sun put a strain on my limited mind, body and psychic nature. This was my first lesson with the limitations of the mind and body. We have to admit that we are born of woman with certain genetic limitations. For example, we all have seen the artist’s conception of men from Mars – large heads and spindly legs and arms which are not used. It will be millennia before Man will evolve to this level where he is more cerebral than physical. Our physical structure is dictated by the size of woman’s pelvic region. Therefore, the size of our craniums must be limited. If this be true, what is our future? We hope to be more cerebral. This means we will require larger craniums to hold a larger brain. We are told that we only use about ten percent of our brains. But what happens when we try to expand beyond the ten percent? I remember reading about a scientist who gave his small child an advanced program of mind expansion. The child was bombarded with mathematical concepts. Tapes were played while he slept. Various techniques were employed in order to continuously feed the child’s small brain with information. In time the child outpaced his parents and his teachers in knowledge of languages, mathematics and scientific concepts. But the child died at a very early age. It was too much for him. We might say the same of Jamil, who left the world at three years of age. He certainly was far ahead of any adult in psychic power, intellect and mind expansion. Jamil became part of a higher dimension and left this limited world behind just as a snake sheds its skin when growing a new one. This has taught me that if we are to develop into a higher species it is going to require that certain reliable disciplines be employed. In this way the physical body can be developed slowly and the mind taught how to co-exist with the generated Light body and the spiritual consciousness in a way that there will not be conflict.

“‘I learned of man’s limitations the hard way. I looked at the Sun for many hours at a time. I used lenses, jewels, crystals, gold reflectors, parabolic mirrors in an effort to introduce more and stronger light into my brain and nervous system. I learned to look at the Sun through powerful telescopes. The result was higher illumination, but inflammation of my eyes. In the end I learned that it was too much for the brain. Even though I had reached a point for a period of time when I was immune to fire, when I could project myself psychically to different places, and experienced very high philosophical concepts and a knowledge of other dimensions, my brain, and especially my nervous system, became over-sensitive. I had to interrupt my advancement, accepting that one cannot grow too fast in the System. Had I continued I am certain I would have passed out of the world. So, I slowed down and decided that in order to develop, one has to detach oneself from the world by means of a slow process of evolution.

“‘As a consequence I had to withdraw from the Sun for two years. It was then that I learned the meaning and value of community. One requires fellowship with others. And, equally important, the use only of a system of techniques that have been proven over the centuries to be reliable. Thus the System becomes a discipline which must be adhered to by everyone.

“‘I am convinced that if Man is to survive as a species, and to survive the condition that is coming, which I believe to be a condition of different radiation than we have ever had before, if he is going to inherit the Universe and be able to penetrate into outer space, visit the Sun and the stars, he is going to have to break out of his limitations of the physical body. And to do this he is going to have to create something new. Secular scientists and medical doctors would scoff at such an idea, or at least its possibility. But that is what we must do in community.

“‘At one time in Man’s evolution he was interested in spiritual things. He devoted himself to the church, to scripture, and to a study of God. Then the concept of evolution and the survival of the fittest came along. Man was told he had ascended from the mud and the slime. Thus Man’s ethics and his morals changed, as did his motivation and reason for living. Materialism came to the forefront and religion took a back seat, as it were. Socialistic ideologies which elevate the state and lower the individual became dominant in the world. Today in our modern world we discover that dictators govern the majority of nations in which human rights are a passing thing. This is the outcome of such philosophy.

“‘If we, in this Community, can demonstrate to the world that there are spiritual faculties that can be developed alongside the material body, if we can demonstrate to the rest of the world that Man is a son of God, that he is immortal and survives death of the physical body, that he has his origin in the Godhead, perhaps the world will then return to the study of religious concepts and pursuit of the Divine. Of course, there will have to be higher teachings than we have had in the past – a higher religion.’”

Gary Buchanan presents on Cosolargy at LumiCeuticals Conference

The Shine With Light company’s Annual Conference was held in Salt Lake City/Farmington Station, Utah, October 10-12, 2019. About 200 healing light practitioners and researchers were in attendance.

Following a guided Sunset Ceremony led by Rev. Canon Dr. Gary Buchanan on October 10, the evening’s keynote presenter was Buchanan’s longtime colleague, Jacob Liberman, OD, PhD. The essence of Dr. Liberman’s talk, “The Eyes are the Windows of the Soul,” was this: “The medicine of the future is light. We are healing ourselves with that which is our essence.”

On the morning of October 11, Dr. Buchanan gave a two-hour presentation on Cosolargy, the International Community of Christ, sun-gazing, and new developments in Sonatherapy. Video clips from the documentary film “Eat the Sun,” featuring ministers of the Second Advent Church at a Divine Sunrise Service held at the Cathedral Church of the Americas in Nevada, were very well received by all those in attendance.

As a follow-up, on the afternoon of October 12, Dr. Buchanan hosted a workshop in which he demonstrated the therapeutic applications of sound, light, color, water, and subtle energies while treating a conference member who had suffered a fall on the ice earlier that morning. The Sonatherapy applications, using sound applicators with specially developed Sonations, were administered in synchrony with the Color-Light-Sound pads marketed by Shine With Light and its parent company Lumiceuticals, part of the Kaiyan Medical Equipment Company, Ltd., located in Shenzhen, China.

The founder of Kaiyan Medical, Dutch physicist Alain Dijkstra, was at the conference along with his research team and equipment designers. Dijkstra and Buchanan conferred extensively during the three days in Salt Lake City.

Dijkstra and his colleagues recognize that the research and development accomplished since 1975 by Dr. Buchanan and Cosolargy International in sound and color/light healing are indispensable in the proper design and manufacture of future instrumentation and therapeutic applications by Kaiyan Medical.

As a result, Dijkstra and his team, along with Shine With Light’s founder Marta DeBerard, will be visiting Dr. Buchanan at Steamboat Healing Center in January 2020 to experience geothermal hot tubs, massage and Sonatherapy treatments, and local skiiing while undertaking extensive discussions concerning the technologies, potential designs, manufacture, and marketing of Sonatherapy related instruments.

ANCIENT SCRIPTURE AND WISDOM SAYINGS

A Reading from the Teachings of Fourth-century Mystic Gregory of Nyssa

God has Logos: else He would be without reason. And this Logos cannot be merely an attribute of God. We are led to a more exalted conception of the Logos by the consideration that in the measure in which God is greater than we, all His predicates must also be higher than those which belong to us. Our logos is limited and transient; but the subsistence of the Divine Logos must be indestructible; and at the same time living, since the rational cannot be lifeless. . . . It follows, that, together with the Word, He Who speaks it, which is the father of the Word, must be recognized as existing. . . . We affirm that we find in the Logos, whose existence is derived from the father, all the attributes of the Father’s nature.

God created by His reason and wisdom; for He cannot have proceeded irrationally in that work; but His reason and wisdom are . . . not to be conceived as a spoken word, or as the mere possession of knowledge, but as a personal and self-willed potency. If the entire cosmos were created by this second Divine hypostasis, then certainly was man also thus created; yet not because of any necessity, but from superabounding love, that there might exist a being who could participate in the Divine perfections. If man were to be receptive of these [perfections], it is necessary that his nature should contain an element akin to God; and, in particular, that he should be immortal. This, then, man was created in the Image of God. He could not therefore be without the gifts of freedom, independence, [and] self-determination; and his participation in the Divine gifts was consequently made dependent on his virtue. Owing to this freedom he could decide in favor of evil, which cannot have its origin in the Divine will, but only in our inner selves.

“Will the Sun Lash Out at Us?”

 

 

I write a lot about the benefits of the Sun, and feel just a twinge of sadness as I must also acknowledge that, just like the reputation of the Hindu deity Shiva, our star may be thought of as both Creator and Destroyer. It has lashed out at our planet in the past by way of solar flares causing geomagnetic storms, and some believe we are due for another massive one.

Recently I have exchanged emails with Dr Jamal Shrair and acquired a copy of his book, Helical Universe. Dr Shrair has told me, “As I have indicated many times before, the Sun is now located in high energy region and approaching the most dense one, therefore, the chance for massive solar flare is almost certain and it is going to be a devastating one.” He later added, “A destructive solar flare is certain, and it will hit in the near future.” To clarify what he means by the near future, he posted elsewhere that it will happen “for sure if not this year then next year.”
