“Galactic Beams: The Sun & Cosmic Rays; Science & Prophecy”

Here we are in 2020. Some are embarking on the new decade with optimism, and others with apprehension. This week I have been looking to both science and prophecy for clues as to what we can expect. The key themes that caught my attention were: changes in the Sun and cosmic radiation; Earth changes, including earthquakes and volcanic eruptions; the coming of a new age and a new human.

Cosmic radiation has hit a five-year high and is approaching record high values, as the Sun sets a new record for spotlessness (days without sunspots), according to the record-keeping system that started when the Space Age began in 1957 (marked by the launch of the Soviet Union’s Sputnik). During 2019, the Sun was without spots for 270 days or 77{1fa2ef75e2e78439128d99df03acfe1d8ee3047374abe3d4676fe3470ff8b909} of the time (as of 16 December). The Sun’s magnetic field weakens during solar minimums, allowing deep space cosmic radiation to flood the Solar System.

The Earth’s magnetic field protects our planet from solar and cosmic rays that could be harmful, like a giant shield. As the planetary poles move around, that shield is weakened – scientists estimate that it could waste away to as little as a tenth of its usual force. The expected Cosmic radiation isn’t hitting the surface yet. But at some point, when the magnetic field has dwindled enough, it will be a different story.

And here’s some other news: Nexus magazine picked up this article and included it on their daily News feed on Tuesday, January 7th, which will give it much wider exposure.

“Subconscious Computer and Negative Thinking”

“I want to preach a sermon to everybody, from this test, ‘Consider the lilies of the field,’ because it has nothing in it disagreeable to anybody. It is not a sermon of threat or of warning, but of hope. The world today needs more hope. We are a hopeless lot. We are so, principally, because in so much of the past preaching we have been told how bad we are, and what would happen to us if we kept on in our badness. We are so little told that we heave in us lots of goodness and power. … People who think badly of themselves are pretty sure to do badly. Scripture remarks, ‘As a man or woman thinketh, so is he or she.’ It is when a man thins poorly of himself, that he goes off and gets drunk, or does some mean thing. The pride that makes a man value himself is the pride that keeps him from mean and degrading acts. Our race is now on the point of being woke up to the fact that every man and every woman are the possessors of more powers than now they dream of, and that, when they know how to use these powers, they will steer out of all evil into good.” ~Prentiss Mulford

Sermon of Warning

I wouldn’t have called Mulford’s warning a sermon. That name alone turns off many people these days. That is, in part at least, for the very thing Mulford is talking about. We have preachers who love to tell us how evil we are. How we need to repent. And those who are not telling their congregation such things, are saying it of others. The gays are evil, the Mexicans are evil, the feminists are evil, etc. Any group that they think is not a significant part of their congregation is a potential target for these sermons of hate. Yet, in truth, many of these preachers don’t even hate the ones they are calling evil. They do it simply because it is what their congregation wants to hear. When you tell the congregation what they want to hear, they are more generous in their donations. And sadly, preaching has become more about making money then teaching truth.

When We Believe

Preachers are certainly not the only ones telling us negative things about ourselves. Teachers, parents, government officials, and others contribute also. This might be acceptable of they followed the negative comments with some positive ones, but they rarely do. Even when they do, it may be that they emphasize the negative, or keep the positive to something minor. Just to give an example, which is certainly not something I believe, if someone says, “Mexicans are all knife-wielding murderers, but they dress well,” they have said something positive as well as something negative. But the negative part greatly outweighs the positive, so the overall message is negative.

As Mulford notes, the real danger in all of this comes when we actually start to believe the negative things others say about us, either as an individual or as some group we belong to. It is bad enough that just listening to the negative things others say about us can, to some degree, program out subconscious minds, but when we start to affirm those negative opinions, we are really programming the subconscious mind.

Subconscious Computer

As someone who spent most of his adult life programming computers for a living, I know them fairly well. The thing about computers is that they have no conscience, no morals, no ethics. None at all. They accept everything that is programmed into them and act accordingly. That is how our subconscious mind works as well. It doesn’t judge right or wrong. It accepts anything that it is told as long as it doesn’t conflict with firm beliefs that have been programmed into it. If you keep telling it that you are stupid, it programs you to be stupid. If you tell it you are violent, it programs you to be violent. It is an idiot servant that does whatever you tell it to do. If you tell it, “my parents were poor, my grandparents were poor, so I am doomed to be poor,” it believes you and accepts those instructions and starts doing everything it can to make you stay poor. It’s like we are working against ourselves. But there is a solution.

WEEKLY MESSAGE: January 10, 2020

HEAD OVERSEER’S WEEKLY MESSAGE

January 10, 2020

Allow me to convey my very best wishes to you as we enter a brand new year, as well as a new decade. I am optimistic about the future of our Community. I hope you and your loved ones experienced a special and blessed Christmas-Epiphany Season. We in Reno concluded the sunrise vigil with a spectacular Divine Service on January 6th, which was preceded by our traditional annual banquet and festivities at the Rectory-Abbey on January 5th.

This month, we will be concluding our review of The Tenth Saying of Jamil and then be going on to the Eleventh Saying. So, let us continue with commentary from The Man.

The Tenth Saying (Part 14 of our series)

“‘In our religion we profess a belief that holds God to be the cause of all living things, one who occupies no place in time and no particular space. He is greater than Being, or Form, or even Consciousness. This religion teaches that in order to overcome death of the physical body one must generate a new body of Light which is nourished on the Light given by God through the Sun of Righteousness. Within the Light of this Sun dwells the Word of God, the Logos. The Logos incarnates within Man’s Spirit and gives him new life. Therefore, this religion is one that believes in the True God – the One God – which is manifest in all living things. We teach our members how to generate this body of Light and how to communicate with God through higher powers of Consciousness. If Man is to return to God and participate in his divinity, he must-needs generate a spiritual nature as was taught by the holy teachers of revealed religions. We share with these religions the Way of Light and return to God. This religion has come forth into the world because The Way has been lost to the old religions.

“‘Man is free to believe in whatever he wishes to believe. It is the right of science, or materialism, or technology, or secular religion, to claim that it has the only way to Man’s salvation. But the fact remains there is only one way to generate a Light body – just as there is only one way to propagate children. The way is self-evident. Such is our System.

“‘All of us here want our families to live. It is because of our dedication to this Teaching that some day we may be able to help our families. We hope to be able to help all people, as Jesus and Jamil and great holy men and women of times past are helping people today because they want people to know God. But Man must taste of death, he must know the Darkness before he can walk back to God. In this respect, perhaps death need not be permanent.

“‘Either our Teachings are right or they are wrong. Either the religions of the world today are teaching The Way or not. Each has to ask himself that. I can only say that I cannot worship a god that demands blood. I cannot worship a god that would throw any person into Hell forever because that person sinned out of ignorance. I believe in the goodness of God. I believe that God offers redemption and salvation for every creature on the face of the Earth. This is what I have dedicated my life to. And I am sure that you believe the same thing.

“‘We must have faith. We must have hope that God will redeem all men and women. This is all we can do, nothing more. Each is free to give their life to what they believe in; either country, or church, or religion of whatever denomination. No member of this Church will ever accuse a person of being wrong because he or she belongs to another religion. It is not for us to think that Man is going to taste death, and that we are going to taste life everlasting because we are a very special breed. It may turn out that way, but it is not by our own wish. It is perhaps by the Will of God or by the laws of nature that this will happen, but not by our choice. We know there is one way only by which to generate a Light body and spiritual Consciousness. God has given us the manner by which to accomplish this. Our mission is to instruct people in this system.’”

I look forward to sharing with you further next week.

Again, if I may be of any personal service to you, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Very truly yours in Light+,

Gene

“Few People Realize There’s An Active Volcanic Field Right Here In Nevada”

Steamboat Springs Nevada Historical Marker No. 198, Reno, Nevada

Posted in Nevada August 10, 2019 by Emerson

When you think of volcanos, Nevada isn’t exactly the first place that comes to mind. Instead, you might think of Hawaii’s iconic volcanic landscape or Washington’s famous Mount Saint Helens eruption. However, there are regions of Nevada where volcanic activity can be found, and one of them is incredibly active. In fact, this volcanic field has been used by humans for generations. You may have even visited it yourself without even realizing that you were on top of an active volcanic field! Keep reading to learn all about this hot spot of geothermal activity and where you’ll find it in our state.

When you hear the term “volcanic field”, you probably picture some sort of fiery hellscape complete with bubbling magma. However, that’s not at all what you’ll find at Nevada’s most active volcanic field found in the historic destination of Steamboat Springs.

HEAD OVERSEER’S WEEKLY MESSAGE

January 1, 2020
New Year’s Day

Tenth Saying (Part 13 of our series)

“And the same mariner responded with another question: ‘You answered part of my question. But I would like to narrow the focus of the question to something I had in mind. It has to do with why I left the church I belonged to when I was younger. It concerns spiritual discrimination. The tenet concerned is that unless you belong to a certain church, unless you are baptized with water, you are going to perish. You are going to die. All other people who do not go through this ritual in this particular church are lost. The concept is certainly not unique with this one church . I would say the majority of churches maintain a similar teaching. To my way of thinking, this was spiritual discrimination. Since then my feeling remains the same. How is it that any small group of people, small compared to the world population, has a special privilege for its own members? Again, getting back to the concept of a just God, even though the rational mind may not understand, still it seems to be a legitimate question. Is there the same kind of spiritual discrimination here? Is this what a just God would do? Is there something I don’t understand?’

“And The Man answered him by saying: ‘All religions from antiquity to the present – and to name only a few: Zoroastrianism, Hebraism, Brahmanism, Buddhism, Christianity, Islamism — taught a kind of exclusiveness. It is the nature of religion to be exclusive. Man has given many names to God; for example, Adonis, Baal, Attis, Osiris, Ahura Mazda, Apollo, Jupiter, Brahma, Artemis, Thor, Ra, Odin, Jehovah, Allah and many, many others. Now are these all different gods or are they the same God? According to the teachers from the times of these respective gods, there was a different way to attain salvation. During the times of Jesus, the Hebrew people believed that Jehovah dwelt within their tabernacle, a small wooden box they carried on a litter and placed in their temple. They actually believed that God occupied a space within a box. The Hebrew religion gave birth to the Christian religion, which has adopted the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament, which was aimed at the Jews who worshiped the God Jehovah. The Protestants teach that if a person but believe in Christ he is saved. The Catholics teach that if you die in a state of grace you are saved. If you have been a good person, and participated in the sacraments, that is all that is required. And there are many religions that teach that if you just accept their particular god, you are saved. All of these religions either teach an inferior concept of God or they place a minor god on an altar for Man to worship.

“‘In the ancient world there was a power in knowing the true name of God. The Hebrews taught that their God had no name, but still He was referred to as Eloi, Jehovah, or Yahweh; so in knowing the name, one was able to speak that name and obtain a power. In the Christian world the name Jesus Christ is supposed to be a great power; for example, if one invokes the name of Jesus Christ and the name of God the Father, one can expel spirits and heal. Various peoples gave names to the god who was exclusive to their tribe or nation. A worshiper of the Egyptian God would call upon Hermes Trismegistus and say, “I know thy name, Heavenly One. I know Thy various manifestations. I know thee, Hermes, and Thou knowest me. I am Thou and Thou art I.” Now, there was a power in that. People believed in ancient times that by eating the flesh of an animal or a man, such as a sacrificial animal or an actual king, or drinking the blood of such a sacrificial victim, the participant took on the power of that creature. I believe the Christian concept of communion, eating of bread and wine substituting the body and blood of Jesus, came from this idea. The Aztecs and Incas used to shape out of corn dough a figure likened unto a god and then consume it in the same manner as the Christians took the bread, believing they took on the power of the god. Those who worshiped Mithra believed that by standing under a bull when its throat was slit they could be washed clean in the blood of that bull. Sacrifice was always an integral part of ancient religion because it was believed that God had to be atoned with blood of some sacrificial animal. The Christian attitude is that Jesus was crucified instead of the sacrificial lamb used by the Hebrew priests in the temple, and the blood of Jesus was a final atonement for the sins of mankind. A large segment of the Western world believes this teaching. Though such teachings have turned many men and women from religion, there is a very large number of people today — scholars, intellectuals, scientists, and others — who believe the latter to be a true teaching. Indeed, it is a fundamental teaching in Christianity for those who profess to believe in the one God, Jehovah.

“‘There is nothing more universal than the Sun and there is nothing more universal than light. All of the ancient religions were bound up with light, with the Word of God within light. God was supposed to have created the world at His command by means of light. I said earlier that I believed that the teachings of Jesus died with him – or at least with the death of his immediate apostles. Christianity today is not practicing the teaching of Jesus; yet Christians call upon his name and they call upon God just as if they were teaching or following the teachings of Jesus. The true teachings of Jesus must needs be bound up with light and not blood.

“‘Today individuals mold God into the form they like and worship it. But they will not worship God as He is. Therefore, Man is idolatrous: he idolizes a god of his own making that is convenient to his logic and reason. If all people were to be saved simply because of their presence in the world, then, as I said earlier, there would be no need for enlightened religion and no need for redeemers or a great Teaching of Light. Man is doomed to death. Everyone on the planet dies. You cannot change that.’”

We will continue next week with a more inspiring portion of the commentary. In the meantime, I wish you and yours a blessed and prosperous 2020. As you know, we have been gathering at the Sanctuary each morning for the Christmas-Epiphany vigil. I have included a photo of one of our sunrises. I think you can feel the power coming out of the Sun.

Again, if I may be of any personal service to you, please do not hesitate to contact me.

WEEKLY MESSAGE: December 25, 2019

HEAD OVERSEER’S WEEKLY MESSAGE

December 25, 2019
Christmas Day

On this the first day of Christmas, I send you my warmest personal regards. As you know, we in the Reno Community will gather each morning at the Consecrated Sanctuary for each of the Twelve Days of Christmas with a final Sunrise Divine Service on the morning of Epiphany, January 6th. These are days of special blessing, and I encourage you to commune with us through the Sun of Righteousness. In the meantime, we will continue with the commentaries of the Tenth Saying.

The Tenth Saying (Part 12 of our series)

And, again, The Man continued.

“‘It is our responsibility to create a Community that can illuminate Mankind through The System. Because we love our fellow human being, it is our sacred obligation to teach others. This is best accomplished by dedication to The Community. Therefore, we must unite together in Community; and by so doing, other people will emulate us. In Community, we will be able to help more than if we try to teach on an individual level. Our task should be to point people’s eyes toward the Sun and The Teaching, so they can break away from the drugged state and become free under God. And once people have done so, they will see that society and secular institutions and the ways of the world are not the proper way to become inspired or to become immortal.

“‘Each individual can acknowledge and accept The System and the Community life in a free manner, by their own free choice. They must accept it openly, democratically. It must not be by fear that they do this, because they do not want to die. Once they accept The Teachings as free men and women, then they share in Community life as higher individuals. The problem of the world is that it leads large numbers of people into a useless life. We can say that society, science, technology, the social governments are feeding people, giving them a good life, better than they may have had in the past. But that does not change the fact that the populace is only encouraged to keep the existing social system alive. The world’s institutions, including our institutions of learning, are on a collision course. What they are teaching is detrimental to the ultimate goal of humanity, which is to find God and participate in its own immortality and divinity.

“‘Even though the world has produced an advanced social system, it is polluting nature and the human mind, dominating humankind in such a way that people are reduced to human machines geared to produce and consume. Money dictates and dominates their very lives. People in power and those in position can to large degree determine the life of the individual and society simply by manipulating the economic world. A person has no dignity under those conditions. He is a slave. And even though he is free to walk the streets, he is not free to make his own choice as to how his children are going to be educated or how he is going to live his life. He has little choice as to how he is going to live his daily life. He might say: “I want to go to the beach today. I want to lie in the sun. I want to think. I want to know why I am here. I want to know God. I want to know the meaning of life. I want to know the course of my destiny, or the course of my family’s destiny. Where is God?” But he has little time for these thoughts. His whole life is geared to earning money and spending it. That is all he has time to do. It is not proper for a man or a woman to dedicate their entire lives to earning a living; there are more important interests in life. To think, to grow spiritually, requires the major portion of one’s life. Because people are caught up in the need for money, they have no time to see other values which are important to their being. Therefore, it is our task to change the motivations and directions of humanity.

“‘We must accept, first, that the world’s institutions, governments, political structures are involved with the Y Factor and with the Z Factor. So these institutions, world society, political structures have to be reshaped. And this can only be done from within these structures by the people who form them. The people must be learned and enlightened. This System can do that. Once illuminated, people by their own free choice can change those institutions and structures in world society. It is not our task to change the world, or to save it, but to enlighten the minds of people – to free them so they can go into the world and reshape the destiny of Man. This is our task, and we must be very clear on this. Time is running out because these institutions of learning and world systems are archaic. They are not in tune with the Sun. They are not in tune with nature anymore. They are directing mankind on a collision course in which nature will rebel.

“‘Man cannot defy the laws of nature for long. Man can make rules and laws. He can publish documents and papers enforcing the laws he has made, but that doesn’t mean the laws are right or that nature must listen to them. Man can follow them because Man is a slave. But nature follows her own rules – those laid down by God. These laws change with time. What was good for Mankind a hundred years ago may not be good for him today. Man has lost the ability to live with nature. His technologies, his sciences, have tried to dominate nature and are in conflict with it. Man says: “I will defy nature.” He thrusts into the ocean a large pylon of iron. That pylon stands for a time until, little by little, the ocean begins to eat it away. Soon there is nothing. The elements continuously work on all things. They work on Man, eventually contributing to his death. Everything in nature is worked down, ground, polished, destroyed. What is to become of the world if this process is not broken? We break it by creating bodies of Light and by working with God. Cosolargy is a cosmological system that is designed to restore Man’s lost ability to live in harmony with nature and, most of all, to teach Man how to live in harmony with the Messianic Sun, which is altering the environment in which we live. Our object is to establish a Community that is universal, one that can appeal to people of all nations. Once Man is motivated by the X Factor, by Christ, then Man’s sciences, and his technologies, and his social structures will change.’”

Once again, if I may be of any personal service to you, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Very truly yours in Light+,

Gene
