Promoting Cosolargy in Australia

The latest edition of the thought-provoking Australian magazine New Dawn (January-February 2020), a bi-monthly publication that explores ancient wisdom and new thinking on unexplained and behind-the-scenes events, contains a well-placed advertisement for Cosolargy, thanks to Cosolargy International’s Australian representative Paul Young. The ad (see below) appears in the central part of the magazine, the “Mind/Body/Spirit” supplement, which is a good place for it.

The posting of the ad is all due to Paul’s work. The Community Communique editor talked to Paul about how all this happened to come about. His response appears below in interview format:

COMMUNIQUE EDITOR: When did you first start writing for magazines?

PAUL YOUNG: Writing for magazines has been part of my life for many years now. As a condition of my Diploma course with the Writing School of Australia in 2003, I was required to submit a certain number of articles to newspapers and journals. The object was to learn how to present, or pitch stories, and my tutors didn’t really expect them to be published early on, so they were as surprised as I was when a few of mine were taken up. The first was a piece about the suburb I lived in, which was picked up by my local newspaper. Buoyed by my initial success, it wasn’t long before I decided that I should have a go at writing for publications that reflected my own interests, namely spiritual, esoteric and metaphysical themes.

COMMUNIQUE EDITOR: When did you first start writing for New Dawn magazine?

PAUL YOUNG: My first association with New Dawn magazine was in issue #80, September 2003, when they ran my piece ‘The Power of Four in the World.’ Over the next couple of years though, I found my real niche as a regular contributor to a monthly journal called Insight which, sadly, went out of business some time after I moved overseas in 2007. I loved the fact that Insight’s editor gave me free rein and rarely made any alterations to my work. While manning a booth for Insight at a ‘Mind, Body Spirit Festival’ in Brisbane about 15 years ago, I found plenty of time to chat with New Dawn’s editor, who was stationed in the adjacent booth, and we covered many matters of mutual interest.

COMMUNIQUE EDITOR: How and when did your interest in the Sun come into your writing?

PAUL YOUNG: During a 5-year sojourn living and teaching in Chiang Mai, Thailand, my long-held fascination with the Sun developed into something much more intense, yet I was unsure of the right way to pursue it. Soon after returning to Australia, I felt the need to write on a regular basis again, as I find writing to be an enjoyable and relaxing creative outlet. I approached New Dawn and they asked me if I would be willing to do a series for them on the esoteric and spiritual legacy (history) of Australia – a challenge I willingly accepted and which resulted in a half dozen lengthy stories on that theme.

COMMUNIQUE EDITOR: At some point, your writing for New Dawn led you to begin advertising Cosolargy in the magazine. How did that happen?

PAUL YOUNG: In the ensuing years, New Dawn has also asked me to write several pieces on the ongoing mystery of flight MH370, and have published a few of my own contributions with solar themes. During 2018 I acted as one of their book reviewers, doing an average of three reviews per issue, but I have put that to one side for the time being. There is rarely monetary payment in this industry in Australia, as most contributors get a trade-off in promoting their own books and/or workshops. In my case, the publishers of New Dawn are always willing to reciprocate with favours, so I am putting that to work by way of reduced-cost advertising for Cosolargy, in line with my commitment to act as country representative and promote our Organization to the fullest extent I can.

COMMUNIQUE EDITOR: Now you are helping Cosolargy International post ads in New Dawn on a regular basis. How did you accomplish this? And what do you expect will be the result?

PAUL YOUNG: During the first half of 2020 we are running half-page ads for Cosolargy in New Dawn magazine. My approach to this is that we are not trying to convince or persuade anybody to do anything they would not otherwise feel inclined to do. I believe there are others out there who, like me, have felt drawn to the influence of the Sun and have wondered how to go about discovering solar techniques, and the way to apply the benefits in their life. My intention is to get the message out on platforms where such people are most like to encounter it. Those who see it and resonate with it then just need to take the next step and talk to us!

March 7, 2020: Chapel Readings

Reverend Canon Robert Petrovich

Each week of the liturgical year, a reading from Second Advent Scripture is delivered as part of the Saturday Communion of Fellowship Service held in the Chapel of the Holy Child. This reading follows the Sacred Calendar of the Church; that is, Prophecies and Revelations that have been received by The Church on sacred dates are recalled in a liturgical context during the appropriate season each year. This reading is delivered just before the final blessings. Each service also includes a reading from the ancient scriptures, prayers, or wisdom sayings of various world religions past and present and is usually thematically related to the Second Advent Reading. This reading is delivered by the Reader right after the announcements that begin the service and is thus the first reading of the service. An audio recording of the reading from Second Advent Scripture delivered on the date above is provided here below together with a transcript of the first reading of the service that day.

SECOND ADVENT PROPHECY AND REVELATION

A Reading from Prophecy of the Golden Age of Light, Chapter 84: “On the Golden Age of Light and the Nation of Nations” (pp. 714-723).

ANCIENT SCRIPTURE AND WISDOM SAYINGS

A Reading from the Teachings of Confucius:

“The superior man accords himself with the Middle Way. Though he may be unknown, unregarded by the world, he feels no regret. It is only the sage who is able to do this. The way that the superior man pursues reaches wide and far, and yet is secret. Common men and women, however ignorant, may meddle with the knowledge of it; yet in its utmost reaches, there is that which even the sage does not know. Common men and women, however much below the ordinary standard of character, can put it into practice; yet in its utmost reaches, there is that which even the sage is not able to put into practice. The way of the superior man may be found, in its simple elements, in the society of common men and women; but in its utmost reaches, it shines brightly through Heaven and earth.”

The Master said, “The path is not far from man. When men try to pursue a course that is far from the common indications of consciousness, this course cannot be considered The Path. Therefore, the superior man governs men according to their nature, with what is proper to them, and as soon as they change what is wrong, he stops.

“When one cultivates to the utmost the principles of his nature, and exercises them on the principle of reciprocity, he is not far from the path. What you do not like when done to yourself, do not do to others.”

“The Inner Voice & the Y-Principle”

Looking back over a rather eventful life, I can identify many turning points such as career changes, relocating home, travelling abroad, starting & ending relationships, buying & selling things, and undertaking challenging experiences. Invariably, decisions were based on what seemed right at the time, yet in retrospect, some choices proved fruitful while others appear less judicious.

I’ve always been one to follow the Inner Voice, in preference to agonizing intellectually for a long time over the pros and cons. The problem with that, I have come to realize, is that the Inner Voice can come either from a place of light where the higher Self dwells, or it can arise from a lower, dark place. Since Inner Voices seem to emanate from somewhere within the “Self,” the trick is to discern which is which. I have learned to apply what I call the Y-Principle.

In ancient times, Pythagoras adhered to the Y-Principle, a concept he brought back from his travels to Egypt. The Y signified the power of choice and represented the Forking of the Ways. It is a symbol of a central stem branching to the right, which was called Divine Wisdom, and to the left, which was referred to as Earthly Wisdom. At the point where the path divides, one can take the left-hand direction, following the dictates of the lower nature, or the right-hand road which leads to union with the higher spheres. The latter involved the use of intuition to recognize the invisible spirit of things, rather than their outwardly manifested forms.

During the five years I lived and worked in Taipei (1990-1995), I recall the media publicized the story of an old professor who persuaded the government to re-introduce a time-honoured concept into schools that he thought was in danger of being lost to the new generation: that of listening to “guidance” called the Inner Voice. Actually, in Taiwan it was called Liang-zhi. ‘Liang’ was translated into English as ‘intuitive,’ although it is also commonly understood to mean ‘good.’ Adding –zhi denoted a quality or sense. Together the words were interpreted by English speakers to be the Inner Voice.

When the Inner Voice speaks, how do we know whether it is what Pythagoras called our Divine Wisdom, which will lead to a happy outcome, or if it’s the Earthly Wisdom that is taking us down a path we may later regret? How do we apply this Y-Principle?

“Archons and the Demiurge”

“In his arrogance, Yaldeboath decides that he is the most powerful being in the universe and he declares himself to be the only God. The Demiurge then goes on to create the physical world, together with various archons, heavens and powers. Some of these are thought to belong to the 365 days of the year and others to the seven days of the week. Yet others seem to be more personal, for they deal with emotional and mystic forces.

“The Apocryphon is incredibly detailed as to the creation of man. The Archons, as we have seen elsewhere, attempt to creat a man, They fail to give him life, however, since they cannot make him move until Sophia tricks Yaldeboath into breathing his essence of the Light into man, allowing him to become a living being. Finally comes the creation story of Genesis with its episode in the garden: Adam and Eve eat of the “Tree of Knowledge” and are cast out.

“It is an interesting exercise to deconstruct the myth simply to understand the culture and thinking which gave birth to it. …

“First we have Unity in the Light; then duality in the pairing; recognition of the Three in the Trinity; four within the creative soup and so on. If we allow it to, this can take us into the hidden significance of numbers.” ~Bernard Simon

The Demiurge Declares Himself God

This is the start of everything going wrong. Whether you think of the Demiurge as a single being, or as a group name for the fallen angels led by Lucifer makes little difference. When he/they decided in their arrogance that they were equal to the true God, they crossed a line that should never have been crossed. The decision that they were equal to God meant that they had no reason to operate within the Laws of God, but could make up their own rules. They then decide that they could create a universe of their own, with their laws, and where they ruled. That is the start of the physical universe of death, disease, and destruction. Yaldabaoth, the Demiurge, is the jealous god, the angry, destructive god. He is not the real God, not the God that Jesus called Father.

Steamboat Hot Springs Healing Center & Spa participated for the first time at Alliance 2020 – 3rd Annual Business Expo on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 which was held at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center from 3 to 7 p.m. Gene Savoy, Jr., president of Steamboat, and Sonya Savoy, Assistance Manager of the Spa, attended with a booth on behalf of the Healing Center.

The event is a collaboration among the Reno-Sparks Chamber of Commerce (RSCC), the Reno-Sparks Convention and Vistors Authority (RSCVA), the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN), and the Reno-Tahoe Airport Auhtority (RTAA).

About 1000 people attended the Expo, the third of its kind. More than 200 local businesses were represented – twice as many as last year. This was the first time Steamboat Hot Springs was represented. Gene had this to say, “This was a great event for Steamboat to be a part of. We have been actively collaborating with the Chamber of Commerce, and they have been great partners for us. We look forward to attending again, and partnering with other local organizations, such as the RSCVA, Travel Nevada, and Reno-Tahoe Territory, in order to promote historic Steamboat Springs and its healing waters, which we are proud to be custodians of.”

In addition to complimentary beverages and appetizers, music was performed by the Reno Philharmonic and the Reno Jazz Orchestra. It is anticipated that Steamboat Hot Springs will attend next year’s expo.

Funeral Mass for Former Reno Mayor Attended

A funeral mass was held on February 20, 2020 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church for former mayor of Reno Robert A. (Bob ) Cashell, who passed away February 11th at the age of 81. Bishop Gene Savoy Jr. attended as a representative of the International Community of Christ Church.

Mr. Cashell was a long-time Nevadan. Originally from Longview, Texas, he moved to Reno in 1964 and became a successful businessman and also served as mayor of Reno (2002-2014), Lieutenant Governor of Nevada (1983-1987), and on the Board of Regents of the Nevada System of Higher Education (1979-1982).

Bishop Savoy had this to say about Bob Cashell: “Bob was a genuine individual from the old school. He had a knack for working with people and bringing them together. He was always a supporter of interfaith relations, and I got to know him while serving as president of the Nevada Clergy Association from 1999-2017. He was a friend of our church, and I got to know him even better when I was invited on to the advisory board of Volunteers of America, a charity that was very dear to his heart.”

WEEKLY MESSAGE: March 4, 2020

HEAD OVERSEER’S WEEKLY MESSAGE

March 4, 2020

We will now proceed with our review of the Twelfth Saying of The Secret Sayings of Jamil. I hope you are finding value from our review of these very important scriptures which are oftentimes overlooked in favor of our Prophecies and Revelations which are, of course, also very profound.

I have broken this Saying into four parts. This Saying and its commentary are important as it specifically touches on the importance of Community – a concept continually emphasized by my father, The Man. Let us begin with the Saying itself. Next week, we will start with the first portion of the commentary which deals with dedication to The Teaching, as well as support of The Community.

The Twelfth Saying (Part 1 of 4)

“And when The Man had untied the string that bound the scroll he began to read to the men. And these are the words of the Twelfth Saying:

“‘There will come to The Community seekers after spiritual gain who will believe, by reason of their experiences in the ways of the world, that spiritual things can be gathered as can material things. And they would use the Sun of Righteousness for their own selfish ends; using the energy therein not for the good of The Community, nor for the good of mankind, but for their own benefit. They would place those personal benefits above all else, seeking after long life, health, greater intelligence, and higher position, misusing God’s Light for ignoble ends, seeking knowledge, beauty, friendship, and sensuality to become authoritative over lesser men. I say unto you it would be better for such persons that they had never looked upon the face of the Sun to enjoy the beauty of Light. For such goals caused the angels to fall from their lofty heights. I say unto all mortals that the Sun which God has placed in the heavens shall in no way be abused, for the blessings shall be withdrawn from the Light, as is sweetness from a fruit turned bitter. God has ordained that a new religion come into the world to teach the salvation of Man. Unity is the first and highest commandment. For if man not unify into one single community, then diversity has begun. And I say unto you that it shall not be by diversity that God’s new Church will flourish. Let no one believe that the Sun of Righteousness is his to command or to gaze upon outside of communal life. God shall cause a harsh brilliancy to shine upon such eyes to blind the soul to the Image and the Word therein. For those noble souls who bind themselves to The Community, God shall extend a manifold blessing, and they shall share in the benefits that none other shall know, for they acknowledge that the Sun of Righteousness is of God, and under His governorship, and is not to be abused by petty men or women for selfish and gainful ends.’”

Again, if I may be of any personal service to you, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Very truly yours in Light+,

Gene

SECOND ADVENT PROPHECY AND REVELATION

A Reading from Prophecy of the Golden Age of Light, Chapter 84: “On the Golden Age of Light and the Nation of Nations” (pp. 704-714).

ANCIENT SCRIPTURE AND WISDOM SAYINGS

A Reading from the First Letter of Peter:

Blessed be the God and Father, who according to his abundant mercy has begotten us again to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God unto the salvation ready to be revealed in these last times. Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought to you when Christ is revealed. As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former ignorance: But as he who has called you is holy, so be holy yourselves in your behavior, because it is written, “Be ye holy; for I am holy.” And if you call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges everyone according to his works, pass the time of your sojourning here in reverence: For you know that you were not redeemed with something corruptible, such as silver and gold, from your vain manner of life that you received as tradition from your fathers; but with Christ. Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you. Seeing that you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit, have unfeigned love of the brethren; love one another with a pure heart fervently, since you are born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible seed; that is, by the Word of God, which lives and abides forever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the Word of the Lord endures forever. And this is the Word you have received.
