This portion of the commentary of the Fourteenth Saying of Jamil speaks to the universality of The Teaching and how The Wondrous Child came as a unifying force to fulfill all religions. It also touches on how members of the worlds great religions will come to The Community, become Cosolargists, and eventually return to their respective communities to teach of the Sun of Righteousness come for the redemption of the entire human family, thus fulfilling the prophecies of their founders – a very important concept which foresees the restoration of the Universal Religion in the End Times.
The Fourteenth Saying (Part 2)
“At the conclusion of the reading of the Fourteenth Saying, The Man placed the scroll on a large rock and awaited a response from The Mariners. Hearing none, The Man began to speak again after a polite pause. And he said, ‘Since we members of The Community are becoming teachers of the Teachings of Light, we must grow in understanding, as we grow in knowledge of the Teachings. Jamil brought supplemental teachings not only to our own Christian religion, but to all of the great world religions. He has come to fulfill each one.
“‘Eventually, The Community’s Teachings will draw adherents from every major religion as it has been drawing members from the Christian religion. These enlightened individuals will go forth under The Community to their respective religions and teach their membership. We can anticipate this event to take place at the conclusion of the giving of the Prophecies of Jamil. We have been building toward this event for many years now. It all began when the vision of Jamil’s pre-existent form appeared to me in the company of four Angels of God. I was called out of the world. Then Jamil appeared as a Child of God to announce the coming forth of the Messianic Sun. He left us a rich heritage of scripture – the Sayings, Prophecies, Teachings and other works – and is inspiring new works. All this was left so The Community could come into existence with authority.
“‘At present, as in the past, the world’s religions are for the large part material powers, not separated from political power. This is particularly true of the Christian, Jewish and Muslim faiths, though not restricted to them, which are directing the destinies of many nations of the world. Because the various religions are comprised of men and women drawn from a wide range of social strata, it has become impossible to separate religion from politics. This fact in itself indicates religions have not evolutionized to the levels envisioned by their founders. In other words, religions have not yet become fulfilled. And they must be fulfilled if religion is to become meaningful in the modern world. Indeed, if religion does not meet the needs of people, it will cease to be useful.
“‘The Teachings of Light can fulfill all world religions. Without supplemental revelations and amendments, religions live out their usefulness or become “closed.” Religion will be forced to acknowledge the manifestation of God’s Will in the Sun of Righteousness. It is the solemn duty of every minister, every member of the laity, to listen to the Word of God, which, as we know, is more powerful than the will of Man. Though it will be extremely difficult for the present religions to adapt to the Teachings of Light, these religions can become “open-ended” if they allow their teachings to be appended. Thus all religions will contribute to the formation of a truly Universal Religion.’”
