The Seventeenth Saying (Part 12)

And The Man continued addressing the Mariners, saying:

“‘Light beings will always exist wherever there is Light. Wherever God points a finger, wherever there is a manifestation of Light, beings will appear within that Light. From such higher forms evolved Man. In view of what has been said, it is within the realm of possibility that our own earth evolved out of the sun, or portions of the sun. Higher beings, as part of this solar “stuff,” could very well have evolved down to a lower scale as physical beings of matter.

“‘This School has come forth at a time when the world is ignorant of these great Teachings, just as it is ignorant of Man’s heritage as a spiritual being. The world is truly ignorant of the real message of Jesus and now also of Jamil. It is actually ignorant of the power that rests with the mind and Consciousness of Man, and of the fields that envelop his material being. In spite of all scientific theories, and the many schools of metaphysics that claim to know the means, the fact remains that no institution or school possesses these secrets. It is essential that you, in our School, learn early to look beyond yourselves; and understand the meaning of spirituality, because if one views life from a selfish viewpoint, one will never understand the meaning of God and the meaning of the Teachings of this great School of Light.

“‘There must be a School in the End Times to teach a sacred body of men and women this knowledge so that they may preserve life on the planet and be responsible for creating a New Race of Man who, in effect, could halt the death of the planet and bring about its transformation into a spiritual world of Light. This is the whole concept of our Teachings.

“‘To a solar adept, the idea of the world changing into Light is not any more fantastic than the idea of an atomic explosion is to modern Man. However, because of ignorance and inability to understand, the concept of the world changing to Light is, to modern Man, as fantastic as the concept of atomic explosion would have been to a primitive mind. However, though Man has created the modern world, he is still at the beginning of what he is capable of creating.

“‘The very fact that matter can be transformed into energy proves that energy can be transformed into something else, such as intelligence, or as in this case, Consciousness. What I am trying to say, in so many words, is that when we enter into the realm of Consciousness, and when we project ourselves into the sun, we are penetrating dimensions of tremendous power and force.’”

“The reason why men can have no [spiritual] achievement is due to the fact that they look toward the west. They admire the sunset and sleep when the Sun rises. The west represents the material life, for which all people are awakened. It is good for a person to admire the sunset, but they must also look at the sunrise. God expects all people to be just, truthful, good and loving.

“Everything which surrounds Man must be a stimulus in his life. If you meet a person, a tree, a stone, a lake, a star,the Sun – everything must stimulate your life.The Divine Spirit Who works and awakens the consciousness of all living beings is hidden in all things. …

“In order to understand the life on the Sun, people should first find their own sun in themselves. All have small suns within within, situated in the center of their brains. He size of these inner suns is different for each person, depending on the size of the other planets in the person. Through the inner sun, the Soul attains knowledge. There is something in common between the astronomic Sun and the planets in the sky and the inner sun and planets in humans: in their rising, setting, and so on. … It means that there is a dependence between one’s outer and inner sun.” ~Biensa Douno

Look East Young Man

In the 1860s, Americans were being advised, “Go west, young man!” This was based on the idea that the east already had all the people and skills it needed so heading to the wild west was the best way to grow. But this kind of growth is purely material, and Douno is telling us that such growth, while useful, is not that important. What is important is spiritual growth, and for that, we need to turn to the east. That doesn’t mean to turn to countries in the East for spiritual advice. It means look to the sunrise which happens in the east.

I trust you experienced special benefits in and from the Light during this year’s Second Advent Vigil which commemorates the birth of the Sun of Righteousness and the New Advent of God that dawned in 1962. Let us now resume our review of the Seventeenth Saying of Jamil.

The Seventeenth Saying (Part 11)

“The Second Mariner asked another question saying, ‘Is Man’s negative effect on the sun then an indirect product of his ignorance and desire to follow intellect as opposed to a direct effect on the sun by beings or powers of a Darker nature? Or are both occurring?’

“And he answered The Mariner saying, ‘It is both. For example, Jesus spoke about the Essenic concept that the earth and the cosmos would be destroyed by fire. This same idea was taught in ancient Egypt, Greece, Persia, and Babylonia. And according to the ancient concept of Quetzalcoatl, the sun had to be kept alive by sacrifice or it would die. The perverted version of this idea was that blood had to be shed to keep the sun alive. This misinterpretation was also present in the Hebrew concept of sacrificing blood to Jehovah, or the Christian concept that Jesus shed his blood as an atonement for Man’s sins. It is all the same basic idea. Christians will argue the point, but basically, it is the same concept.

“‘The higher concept of the Essenes was that Man had to sacrifice a pure mind and a pure heart to be able to restore the sun. The Essenes believed that if they did not continue to do this, the sun would die and the end of the world would occur. Of course, the Jewish world did more or less end with the destruction of Jerusalem. The early Christian or Messianist Community believed the whole world would come to an end; however, prior to this occurrence, Christians would come out of the Church in apostasy to prepare for the Second Coming of God who would recreate the world and restore it to its original form before Man’s fall in the Garden of Eden.

“‘All living things have a predetermined life span. Man’s life on earth is predetermined to be three score and ten years, more or less. The planet has a specific life span because it is a living thing. How long will it live? We do not know, but if it becomes diseased before its normal life span is completed, it can die prematurely. That is logical. This is the condition that we find ourselves in today. People can say, “That is ridiculous. The world will not die. It always has been and it will always be.” It is like saying, “I will never get sick and I will never die.” Most people really like to believe that there is going to be an exception in their case, that they are going to live forever. But nobody ever does – the planet is not going to, and the sun is not going to. The human race, like the planet and our sun, is doomed to extinction. It is inevitable. Without a planet, the race could not be sustained. Without a sun, the planet could not be sustained. When the sun dies, the planet must die and all life must cease. That spells the end of Man. Does this mean the cessation of all life in the solar system? It certainly means the end for what we know as Man.

“‘Therefore, a person who is concerned about this end, who wishes to go beyond the limitations of material existence by means of higher forms of Consciousness, and who wishes to explore those dimensions wherein dwells his or her higher Consciousness that survives bodily death, is, above all persons, very realistic, practical, and intelligent. The world today is basing its whole reality on bodily existence, and is not concerned about the world of the spirit, that is, about non-materiality. The world of modern Man is occupied with politics, economics and survival. He looks to nothing beyond this life, for his materialistic attitudes tell him there is nothing more to look forward to after death claims the body.

“‘Man, especially a secular scientist or a materialist, would say that there cannot be any kind of a revealed religion because there is nothing to reveal – there is no other source and no other higher authority except the state and the institutions of the world. This is a very limited point of view. What happened to the Roman authorities or the Greek authorities or to the authorities of Persia or of Egypt? They all passed away, yet people today think that their institutions of learning and their own great civilization will endure. Of course, this is not true. We should learn from history that nothing endures, nothing.

“‘Someday our scientists and our sciences will all be dust. There will be nothing left but “life” continuing on the planet. We do not know what species of living forms will inherit the world tomorrow. We of this School teach that it is not going to be Man as we know him today, that material Man is going to become extinct, whether he likes it or not because he is destined to destroy the very system that sustains him. Imagine the consequences if Man polluted the oceans and cut down all the trees. There would not be enough oxygen to support life as we know it. What would exist? Some form of lower life that would evolve and inherit the earth? It is inevitable that that creature would become heir to all of the knowledge around us. Now, would that lower life stand up and walk like a man? Probably not. Secular sciences would have us believe that that is what would happen according to their ideas of evolution of the species. On the other hand, Man’s spirit would not be destroyed by a lack of oxygen any more than Man’s spirit is destroyed by the loss of the body.’”

Anniversary of the Third Omen (1956)

The Seventeenth Saying (Part 10)

And The Man continued addressing the Companions of The Way.

“‘God brought Light into existence from a spiritual Sun. One may call this spiritual Sun heaven. And He created images there, and Man in his highest degree of being. He gave Man a form of Light, and through time, as we know from the allegory in Genesis, Man generated the material world in collaboration with Dark Powers. We know that the Beings of Light are those beings first created by God, and that Beings of Dark degenerated from them by their failure to adhere to God’s Word. In this respect, Man has committed the same error. But God wishes to call this created life living in error back to Him through the agency of Christ, which is God’s Word manifest in teachers such as Jesus or Jamil, or through the agency of the Sun. However, in order for Man to understand God’s Word, he must experience a rebirth of spiritual being, and the generation of faculties higher than those of the material body. Therefore, Man must come into possession of divine reason, that faculty which we call spiritual Consciousness and which is given only by God to one living the Way of Light.

“‘In essence, the School of Light which we represent is teaching Man to return to his origin. And we do this through spiritual means. If we are going to affect the sun favorably, it naturally has to be done by means of Consciousness, for Consciousness is the cause of mind. Consciousness is that pre-existent ‘stuff’ from which mind evolved. The world’s institutions of learning, secular religious institutions, the world’s institutionalized socio-religions, know nothing of the means by which Consciousness is generated or brought into existence. In this respect we are representative of a divine Community that is unique in all the world.’

“When The Man answered the question proposed by the Fourth Mariner, the Second Mariner asked him saying. ‘I am impressed with the idea that Man has contributed to the diseased condition of the sun because of his inattention. As a degenerate spiritual being, Man has not been properly reflecting to the sun to imbue it with a spiritual energy coming from his spiritual Consciousness. I had the idea that Man’s intellect and energy were, in a sense, impressing the sun. You said that intellect, mind, and psyche cannot influence the sun. Yet, you talk about Man’s intellect as a force that has unlocked the information contained in energy by which, over the last fifty to one hundred years, he has created the mechanized and industrialized age which has resulted in a great outpouring of chaotically released information and intelligence from the planet, much of which has been received, or channeled, back to the sun. How do those different ideas of affecting the sun in a negative way compare, and which of these are we, as potential adepts, supposed to be able to try to counteract? Can Man as an intellect affect the sun in a negative way; that is, channel negative energy to it directly? Or, is there more of a chaotic release of energy that is negative in its outcome only when ignorance is involved?’

“And he answered The Mariner saying, ‘Man, through use of his intellect, mind, and actions on earth, does affect the sun in a negative way. It is like a rattlesnake biting an infant – the snake cannot create the baby, but it can kill it. Children killed by the sting of a scorpion or the bite of a poisonous reptile cannot be replaced by the scorpion or the reptile. The only way to replace them is by human parents, by conception and birth from a higher form. Therefore, intellect and Man’s actions, like those of a viper or a scorpion, have affected the sun and the planet, as if by poison. A higher level, such as Consciousness, is required to restore the sun to its original form through the spiritual Sun of Righteousness.’”

2021 Advent Day Vigil Observed

 

 

 

Pannuches Meal Rite

The 136th Pannuches Meal Rite was held Saturday, Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.

A Jubilee Sunrise Divine Service was held in Sanctuary on the Sunday morning following the Pannuches Rite.

 

Remembrance of The Holy Child

A service in memory of the passing of The Child Jamil in 1962 was held Friday, January 29, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The Holy Child. Right Reverend Gene Savoy Jr. Officiated.

 

Advent Day Vigil (February 2-6)

To commemorate the fifty-ninth year since the birth of the Sun of Righteousness and the dawning of God’s Second Advent, Sunrise Divine Services were held at the open-air Church of New Epiphany from  Saturday, January 30 through Saturday, February 6, 2021.

The Advent Day or New Year Vigil was first celebrated liturgically by The Church in 1982. The events of the original Vigil are recorded in “Prophecy on the Revelation and the Opening of the Seals,” chapter 90 of the Prophecy of the New Covenant. During each of the ten days of the original Vigil in 1982, Bishop Savoy received and recorded spiritual information on the building of the Second Advent Church. The significance of this original Vigil to The Church is suggested by a synopsis of the information impressed upon the spirit of Bishop Savoy in those days.

On the first day of the Vigil he recorded the impressions that would be included in The Canon of The Church.

On the second day he recorded the prophecies of Renewal and Transformation and the days and seasons to form part of the Sacred Calendar of The Church.

On the third day Bishop Savoy recorded words concerning The Liturgy of The Second Advent Church.

On February 2, Advent Day, he wrote down the prophecies of things to take place on earth before the final Advent of God, who would make his full Appearance in the Heavens following the Judgment in the End Times of the earth.

On the fifth day of the Vigil Bishop Savoy recorded the means to be applied within the Church to increase God’s Blessings upon it.

On the sixth day, he wrote down all the prophecies pertaining to the matter of the Anti-Christ.

On the seventh day he recorded the means by which the Second Advent Church was to assist God in redeeming the races of the earth.

On the eighth day, Bishop Savoy wrote down impressions to be included in the Litany of The Church in establishing peace on earth.

On the ninth day he received impressions on the means to be used to protect the Church from profanation from within.

On the tenth and final day of the Vigil, Bishop Savoy was told that he would receive the Revelation to the Seven Churches upon the Seven Mountains of Metal of The Sanctuary on the day of Second Advent Easter, April 18.

The Most Right Reverend Gene Savoy, First Disciple of The Child, witnessed the original manifestation of the Sun of Righteousness on February 2, 1962, in Yungay, Peru. The events surrounding the Birth of The Sun of Righteousness on this date in 1982 are described in the Second Advent scriptural text Jamil: The Child Christ. Chapter 27 of this text speaks of the New Sun’s Birth:

All spent the day and night in prayer, fasting and mindful of the events predicted by the Angel. And when the second day of February dawned, the sun shone brightly in the heavens. And they did return to the tomb, and there awaited the promised event. And at noon, when the tomb cast no shadow, behold! a great halo formed around the sun. They stood breathlessly looking in wonder and awe. Then a circle of rainbow colors, like crystal spheres, blue at the center and red at the outer edges, encircled the sun. In the heart of the radiant globe a white Cross appeared. And they feared the Last Day was upon them. And they trembled, forgetting the promise of the Angelic Host, and the message of The Child. For an hour the heavenly blaze burned in the firmament. And The Man looked upon the sun, and the image of Jamil appeared across the sun, radiant beyond words, his countenance bright and his hair white as snow. And The Child was holding the Sun in his arms, over his heart. And The Man saw a gate to another world. Again he saw the four Guardian Angels around The Child, and on the right hand side of The Child he saw the image of Jesus and the Apostles witnessing his appearance. And he heard the voice of Jamil as music, speaking to the Light of his Eternal Soul, saying: “I am resurrected.” And the disciple knew that The Child was redeemed from the earth. . . .

And the risen Child said: “The incarnation of God the Father is come to the world through the Sun of Righteousness, healing and sustaining the human family; and restoring the Life of Righteousness. As the seed of man enters the womb of woman and life cometh forth, so shall a heavenly Seed enter the spirits of men and women, and a new birth shall occur. And the life thereof shall be of God. And death shall not claim this new Body of Light and the Spiritual Consciousness therein. And the Christ transmitted in the Sun of Righteousness, and indirectly on all living things, down to the smallest atom and particle, shall incarnate within the soul of mankind. And every man and every woman shall know that they are one with the Godhead, divine and immortal.

Later in chapter 27, the text refers to the coming of The Comforter that took place on February 6, eight days after the passing of The Child:

And on the fourth day of February, the sun and six planets conjoined in Aquarius. And The Man saw great signs in the heavens. And the Anti-Christ was manifesting. Whereupon, his body and mind and soul suffered turmoil. And the struggle continued through the sixth day, it being the eighth day following the passing of The Child Christ. But The Man prayed to God, looking upon the New Sun and asking the Light to assist him. The Child Christ heard him and sent an Angel to comfort him in his dreams. And the Darkness lost its power over him.

Thereafter, The Man began the Great Work east of the Andes.

 



“Liminality”

Crossing the Threshold

 

 

Have we now progressed sufficiently to cross the threshold from lower to higher consciousness and redeem our right to mingle once again with those demi-gods or alien entities? We may be straddling that hazy borderland of liminality right now. As the ancient Egyptians would have put it, we may be in a “state of becoming.”

 

It is odd, when you think about it, that we are all very familiar with the word subliminal but not with its parent word, liminal. When I check the Oxford Dictionary, Funk & Wagnalls and Roget’s Thesaurus on my bookshelf, the word Subliminal appears – defined as “adj, Psychol: perceived below the threshold of consciousness.” Liminal, on the other hand, has no entry in any of these.

Subliminal, then, means below that threshold of consciousness which we know (thanks to Freud and Jung) as the subconscious or unconscious. We hear the term sometimes used in relation to a sneaky kind of marketing known as subliminal advertising.

For those unfamiliar with the word liminality, it is used these days mostly in an anthropological sense, and stems from the Latin word līmen. My Wheelock’s Latin text book has this entry: līmen, līminis, n., threshold (liminality, subliminal, eliminate, preliminary).

The concept of Liminality is not difficult to grasp: it’s that moment in between two boundaries, the transition between one stage and another. It can be an event such as dusk or dawn, or a place like an entranceway. In human terms, it could be a point of ritual, a rite of passage, an initiation into a group or a transition in life. For our conscious awareness, it lies in that twilight zone between sleep and wakefulness.

For centuries, mystics have thought of themselves as being “dwellers on the threshold,” working towards a breakthrough to the other side in a process that is sometimes described as “death before dying.” There are some naturally gifted psychics who can communicate with otherworldly beings, but most of us have lost the ability to perceive other realms. There are several possible reasons for this loss – one of which is often cited as being the calcification of our pineal glands, resulting in the atrophy of our sixth and seventh senses.
