Divine Love

“Human love is changeable, Divine Love, however, is the most steadfast; there are no changes in it.

“If you let Divine Love in your spirit, you will acquire power; the power is the Light that moves.

“If love acts in your soul, it will give you warmth. Warmth is the nicest, it is necessary because, with warmth, everything glows and ripens. Without warmth, humans cannot grow and ripen.

“There is nothing nicer in Man’s life than this, to be a pure child of God, with pure thought, pure wishes, and pure actions. Not to be just for a day, but from the day you were born until the day you leave Earth, be an excellent Child.1

“If you live with love in the world, you will have one result. If you live without love, you will have another. If you live with hope, you will have one result; if you live without hope, you will have another.

Human Love

When Douno speaks of human love, he is talking about ordinary human love, or love of material things, including material beings. Such love is changeable, as most of us know. As we age and change, the things we love change. Even the people we love sometimes change, even though we believed at one time that that would never happen.

Divine Love

Humans can also have Divine Love, but this is love of a higher nature. It is love of God, love of the spirit and soul, love of our higher self, love of Heaven as it really is and not as we wish it to be. Many people will say they have such love, but few of them actually do. You can’t love something when you actually don’t know what it is, you only have a vague concept of it as described by others. If you love God as a little old man sitting in the clouds and judging everyone, you do not have Divine Love, because that human-created concept of God is far from reality. If you think Heaven is much like earth, where you will once again be with old friends, relatives, and pets, you have a false concept of Heaven, and you don’t have Divine Love. To have Divine Love, you must awaken your spiritual faculties and develop them until you are aware of what Heaven and God really are. Then you will Love God, Heaven, and all that God created including human Souls. When that happens, you will have Divine Love.

Love Gives Warmth

Love may not literally warm you, but it will make you feel warmer, in a sense. Any form of real love fills us with joy and warmth. That is not the same as lust, which is often confused with love. The warmth of the sun does make everything grow and flourish. The Light of the Spiritual Sun helps us grow and flourish in a spiritual sense. The warmth of that light awakens and develops our spiritual faculties as nothing else can.

Kingdom of God

Douno is correct in saying that without Love, specifically Divine Love, we cannot enter the Kingdom of God. Heaven is a place of Love, Pure Love, Divine Love, and no being, no spirit, is allowed there that does not have that Divine Love. To allow someone in there who doesn’t have Divine Love would be polluting the purity of Heaven, so it doesn’t happen. Those who think that everybody goes to heaven simply because they have physically dead are wrong. If that were true, such beings as Hitler and Genghis Khan would have gone to Heaven after death. Obviously, that could not happen if Heaven is to maintain its purity. Such beings might get there eventually, but certainly not until they have gone through centuries of purification.

“Two Black Holes Met by Chance, And it Created Something Never Seen Before”

 

 

The ripples in space-time generated by colliding black holes have taught us a lot aboυt these enigmatic objects.
These gravitational waves encode information about black holes: their masses, the shape of their inward spiral towards each other, their spins, and their orientations.
From this, scientists ascertained that most of the collisions we’ve seen have been between black holes in binary systems. The two black holes started as a binary of massive stars that tυrned into black holes together, then spiraled in and merged.
Of the 90 or so mergers detected so far, however, one stands out as very pecυliar. Detected in May 2019, GW19052 emitted space-time ripples like no other.

“Earth’s inner core may have stopped turning and could go into reverse, study suggests: CNN”

 

Earth core

 

The rotation of Earth’s inner core may have paused and it could even go into reverse, new research suggests.

The Earth is formed of the crust, the mantle and the inner and outer cores. The solid inner core is situated about 3,200 miles below the Earth’s crust and is separated from the semi-solid mantle by the liquid outer core, which allows the inner core to rotate at a different speed from the rotation of the Earth itself.

With a radius of almost 2,200 miles, Earth’s core is about the size of Mars. It consists mostly of iron and nickel, and contains about about one-third of Earth’s mass.

Very interesting! I also read that the Earth’s spin slowed down but very, very little. It could be that these two events are coupled together. If that happened 70 years ago, we didn’t have the technology back then to notice it.

I think that the mass distribution of the Earth is not uniform enough for this to happen. But here is someone who modeled it with an Earth model with exaggerated difference in the mass distribution. And it flips maybe every 100 days. So obviously this doesn’t happen. I am not sure if our Moon stabilizes the Earth so that this doesn’t happen.

But the point is, rotation around one of them results in the largest moment of inertia, and rotation around the other one results in the smallest moment of inertia – and both of these are stable.

Since Earth is squashed at the poles, its actual rotation is such that the moment of inertia is largest.”

The Twenty-fourth Saying (Part 7)

Please pay special attention to this portion of the Saying, as I find it very profound and answers many questions.

“Then the second Mariner to speak said, ‘I understand the need for educating the members of the many religions of the world and the clergy and laity of the Christian religion. However, the only way we can instruct or educate people is if they desire to be instructed or educated. How do we do this? It seems to me that the very people we will have to educate or instruct will be critical or will label us heretical. What can be done to make them want to come to us?’

“The Man answered saying, ‘While we are being trained to become Disciples of God and to become Teachers of the Image and the Word in the Church fulfilled in an ecumenical manner for the unification of all churches and all religions into one, we must acknowledge our human limitations.

“‘We have developed our spiritual Vision to look upon the Sun of Spirit. We have also strengthened our faculty of vision to look upon the sun of the world – the sun of the solar system by which all physical life is sustained – the same that lights and heats the earth. But the True Light that lights the world is God’s Sun of Righteousness – the Sun of Creation. And because we are laboring within the Righteous Church and exemplifying the Righteous Life, we have an effect on the physical sun.

“‘While we are involved in the great struggle between the Powers of Light and the Powers of Darkness, which is a cosmic and dimensional event, we must constantly keep in mind that the Righteous Way that we live has an influence upon the material sun. Indeed, it has been said that we are to use the sun as a Sword of Light and Justice to do battle with unrighteousness wherever it is found on Earth. We thus make the sun more brilliant, and we invoke God to make the Sun shine seven times brighter than before to burn up the wicked. We do not understand the nature of this brilliance, but we do know that Evil will be blotted out and that the Good will be able to live on Earth as a result.

“‘With the strengthening of the sun’s rays, whether by heat or by some kind of illuminated intelligence – after all, this has been prophesied and must take place since it was a godly thought recorded by Holy Ones – the world will cry out for guidance, leadership and instruction because without these it will not be able to survive. If we take air away from a person or plunge that person under water for a long period of time, that person will become desperate. Likewise, without Light people are going to become desperate.

“‘The problem is that the nations of the world that claim God’s creatures for their own may try to destroy this Church as they did the Church of the First Dispensation. It remains with the Teachers of this School to perpetuate the Teachings and ensure its survival. We are more than just Teachers living The Way. We are spiritual warriors who are fighting with Light against Darkness. This Light comes from our souls, from our minds, and from our spirits. This Light has to be handled wisely. Since it is our destiny to assist God in bringing about the salvation of the world, we can assume that the cosmic battle will bring adherents to our Teaching.’”

Pannuches Meal Rite

The 148th Pannuches Meal Rite was held Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.

The 149th Pannuches Meal Rite was held Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.

The 150th Pannuches Meal Rite was held Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.

Jubilee Sunrise Divine Services were held in Sanctuary on the Sunday mornings following the Pannuches Rite. Jubilee Sunday is a day of fasting.

 

Christmas-Epiphany Vigil
The Twelve Days of Christmas are observed by tradition in the Second Advent Church. Beginning Sunday, December 25, and continuing through the morning of Epiphany, Friday, January 6. Sunrise Divine Services were held in Consecrated Sanctuary each morning at the Church of New Epiphany during these days of special blessing, as weather permitted. Services were held on the 25th, 26th, 28th, and 31st of December.

Friday and Saturday Chapel Services were suspended due to the Vigil schedule.

 

Children’s Blessing
The annual Children’s Blessing was held following Sunrise Divine Service at the End Times Parsonage on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at 7:45 a.m.  The Blessing was followed by a breakfast. While not a part of the Sacred Calendar of the Church, this Blessing is held each year during the Christmas-Epiphany Vigil. Children, parents, and other members of the Community gathered for the ceremonial blessing of the children of the Community.

 

Epiphany Eve Banquet
The annual Epiphany Eve Banquet and festivities took place at the Rectory-Abbey on Thursday, January 5, 2023, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Members of the Community, their families, and special guests of the Bishop were invited to attend this special seasonal banquet. The meal was followed by a visit from Santa and his reindeer and gift-giving.

 

Epiphany Day
This forty-second anniversary of Epiphany in the Second Advent Church was a day of special blessings and revelation in the Church and the day on which the Church commemorates the True Baptism of Jesus by God the Father. The Message given on January 6, 1981, is related in the Prophecy of the New Covenant:

“On this hallowed day of God’s Appearance, bountiful blessings manifest to the Holy Ones of Light of the Church of the Second Advent founded by His Word. To those unified in Community and holding to The Law, God sends forth the Comforting Spirit of His Image. As the Church has been restored, God will restore those blessings given to the First Church—now in apostasy—and make sacred those Holy Days that are kept in remembrance by the old Churches, but which are not alive with God’s blessings.

“In commemoration of this Day let The Community gather together once each year in remembrance and in fellowship. God will baptize all assembled in the Spirit of His Holiness. God gives an unmistakable Sign from Heaven in the New Sun as a mark of His Advent and Divine Presence. Let all behold the Signs of God manifest in the Heavens and know that their New Ministry is by God’s Authority, and that He has come to Judge the world. This Day is a day of confirmation of God’s Appearance, a day of blessing to strengthen the Good against the Powers of Darkness, and to empower them to teach.”

Needs of the Body and the Soul

“The soul, sprung from the Divine, lay self-enclosed at peace, true to its own quality; but its neighbor, in uproar through weakness, unstable of its own nature and beaten upon from without, cries, at first to itself and afterward upon the living total, spreading the disorder at large. Thus, at an assembly, the Elders may sit in tranquil meditation, but an unruly populace, crying for food and casting up a host of grievances, will bring the whole gathering into ugly turmoil; when this sort of people hold their peace so that a word from a man of sense may reach them, some passable order is restored and the baser parts cease to prevail; otherwise, the science of the better allows the rabble to rule, the distracted assembly unable to take the Word from above.

“This is the evil of state and of council: and this is the evil of Man; Man includes an inner rabble—pleasures, desires, fears—and these become masters when the person, the manifold, gives them play.

“But one that has reduced his rabble and gone back to the person he was, lives to that and is that person again, o that what is allowed to the body is allowed as to something separate.” ~Plotinus

Sprung from the Divine

Some people believe that what is called the soul is just an aspect of the mind. Others believe that the body came first, then the mind and the soul were developed later. As this simple statement from Plotinus indicates, both of those beliefs are wrong. The Soul comes from the Divine, from God.

Self Enclosed

Plotinus says that the soul is “self-enclosed,” and not communicating with “its neighbor,” which is the physical body and mind. In truth, the soul, being pure spirit, is not enclosed in anything, but it is in a dormant state when we are born into the physical world. It is our job to awaken and develop it so it can communicate with the body and mind, and control the ego. As Plotinus notes, the body and mind are weak and unstable on their own. Not necessarily weak in the sense of weak muscles, but in the sense of being easily conned by the dark forces and beings into doing that which brings the person deeper and deeper into the depths of matter, instead of turning toward the realm of spirit where redemption lies.

Spreading the Disorder

The mind knows nothing of spirit, therefore, it embraces the realm of matter which it does know and understand. This can result in the entire being becoming materialistic and pursuing the doomed path of material delights that lead to death. That is what Plotinus means by “spreading the disorder”. Eternal life in Heaven is not found by following that path. That is why the spirit must be awakened and developed into a conscious Soul, and that soul takes over control of the ego, which is needed in the physical world, but hen lest on its own, leads us astray.

Assembly of Man

Plotinus gives the example that in an assembly, the “Elders,” by which he means the spiritually developed people, should lead the crowd. Then peace and beneficial development can happen. But if the materialistic rabble holds sway, then the assembly becomes a mob that does as much damage to itself as to others. This is why it is important to have spiritually developed leaders, or at least leaders who are guided by spiritual people. When they are not spiritual people, but materialistic ones, we have the mess we have seen in recent years in politics. And it is likely to get worse before it gets better, as the dark ones among us, use various methods to silence and control the spiritual.

Inner Rabble

Humans do have an inner rabble that lives by and is controlled by, fear, emotions, desires, and false beliefs. Plotinus says we must stop this by going back to the person we were. In other words, we need to go back to what we were before we had a physical body and mind, and the spirit reigned supreme. We do that by awakening and developing our spiritual faculties. We do that primarily by turning to the Light of the Spiritual Sun, in peace, love, and humility, so that Light will awaken our True Self.

Astronomers might have solved the mystery behind an unusually brightening star.

University of Washington doctoral student Anastasios Tzanidakis and research assistant professor of astronomy James Davenport were searching for “stars behaving strangely” when they received an alert about a potential stellar oddity from the Gaia spacecraft.

The space observatory, launched by the European Space Agency in 2013, is on a mission to create the most precise 3D map of the Milky Way galaxy to date. The astronomers focused on Gaia17bpp, a star that had gradually increased in luminosity over a 2.5-year period.

“Astronomers Accidentally Discover Black Hole So Big You Can Spot It With A Backyard Telescope”

Black holes are the cosmic gluttons, consuming anything that approaches too closely, even light.  Now, a team of worldwide researchers has identified a supermassive black hole that devours the mass of one Earth every second.

By observing other light objects billions of years old, the scientists determined that the newly found behemoth was the brightest and fastest-growing supermassive black hole of the previous nine billion years (that we know of).
