Difficulties Encourage us to Grow, Learn, and Get Strong

Philadelphia, United States – July 5, 2013: The Love Sculpture by the pop artist Robert Indiana was placed in Philadelphia’s “Love Park”, officially named JFK Plaza, in 1976 as part of the U.S. Bicentennial celebration.

“If you study without Love, your success will be problematic and temporary. Whatever work you do in the world, if you do not put the Divine in it, your success will be problematic and temporary too.

“All those who love God succeed. All those who fail, fail in their love of God. …

“Why is there suffering? Suffering is a refresher. If you have no suffering, twice bigger mishaps will come to you.

“Love is the quality that will connect you with God. A greater good than love you cannot find. And a greater mishap than to lose love you cannot get. When you lose love, you will find death.

“They say: No one can go to God if he is not pure. No one can go to God if he is not good, merciful, and reasonable.

“All tests that we get are to enable us. The difficulties and the stumbling blocks that you meet are an education means. Without suffering and tests, you cannot have any gains.

“In ‘Divine Love,’ I understand the following: I realize that all beings, whatever they may be, have equal rights to Divine Good. That kind of understanding is Divine Love. If you do not understand it like that, it is not Divine Love.

“Happiness can be achieved only when we realize that goal that God has put in life—and that goal is Man’s life in God.” ~Biensa Douno

Study Without Love

When you study materialistic subjects without love, you may have some success, but it will be limited, and incomplete. Only with love can you grasp the full truth of the matter. When you study spiritual subjects, it is unlikely that you will have much success at all if you lack love, especially the love of God.

Put the Divine in Your Work

There is an old story about a wealthy man who hires a local home builder to build a home. The builder does good work, but has not had a lot of success and so does not have much money. He decides to cut corners while building the house for the wealthy man so he will make more profit. When the house is finished, the wealthy man pays for it, then tells the house builder that the home is for him. “I know you work hard but don’t make a lot of money so I decided to build this house for you.” So the builder finds out that the house built in an inferior way is his own.

The point of the story is that we are all building our own homes, our own lives. If we cheat and look for shortcuts, it is ourselves we cheat the most. If we have love and put Divine Love in all we do, that would never happen. We would do our best in all our work. Most importantly, I think Douno is mostly reminding us to do our best with our spiritual growth and spiritual life. To mess up our physical life with bad karma is bad enough, but physical life is short, while spiritual life is eternal.

Connect With God

While some may think of it differently, the goal of spiritual development is to connect with God, learn from God, and ultimately become one with God and one will All. If that is not what we are trying to do, then it isn’t real spiritual development. The spirit is not a part of the body or the mind and it can’t be developed by our efforts alone in the realm of matter. It is only through that connection with God, primarily through the Spiritual Sun, that the spirit can truly awaken and grow. Just reading holy books isn’t enough. Just posting memes about how spirituality is so much better than religion isn’t enough, in fact, it is an indication of egotism, the opposite of spiritual development. So look to the Spiritual Sun and seek that connection with God.

All Beings Have Equal Rights

Douno says that with Divine Love we “realize that all beings, whatever they may be, have equal rights to Divine Good.” I can agree with that. It is important to note that he says all beings, not all humans, not all animals, but all beings which include plants as well. So the holier-than-thou vegans are not doing anything to encourage the growth of their souls, as they to are saying that some beings are more important than others, and eating some beings is just fine, but not others. That is not the truth.

“The asteroid that doomed the dinosaurs struck in springtime”

An artist’s impression of the Tanis river site in North Dakota moments after the asteroid strike that doomed the dinosaurs to extinction 66 million years ago.

Picture a calm spring day 66 million years ago in what’s now North Dakota. Perhaps a Triceratops was lying in the sun, while in the river freshwater paddlefish, mouths gaping, were foraging plankton.

Seconds later, a 10-meter-high (33-foot-high) wall of water rushes in from the east and then spheres of glass start to rain down from the sky — some of them still on fire as they hit the river.
These could have been the very last moments of the dinosaur era, which came to a cataclysmic end when a city-size asteroid struck the shallow ocean off Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, killing off three quarters of all species on Earth. According to a new study of fossilized fish that were found at North Dakota’s Tanis fossil site and perished as a result of the devastating impact, the asteroid hit in springtime.

RESIDENCE TRAINING SEMINAR

Color & Sacred Imagery
Advanced Programs I & II

The seminar was presented in the Chapel of The Holy Child by Bishop Gene Savoy Jr. in morning and afternoon sessions. Each session was video recorded for future use as an online training program. The original version of the lecture series was presented in 1980 by Rt. Rev. Gene Savoy Sr. The 10-hour training seminar updated for a contemporary audience.

Part 1 is six hours of oral instruction on the psycho-physical and spiritual bodies; color polarities; demonstrations on the use of gemstones, the sacred thread, and mirrors; and the use of color in ancient medical practices. Part 2 is an expansion of Part 1 in four hours of oral instruction on healing, the use of the sacred thread and vestments, the Pythagorean image of the sun, and the awakening of the force centers.

Saturday, September 10

Three lecture presentations were made on Saturday afternoon in the Chapel of The Holy Child:

“New Scientific Views of Consciousness”
Presented by Rebecca Willis
A new movement within science is working to overturn the currently accepted materialistic worldview and its limitations on understanding the human spirit. They recognize consciousness as beyond the brain and primary to physical existence. Their work offers new perspectives on consciousness while laying a groundwork for greater receptivity to the teachings of Cosolargy within society.

“What is Metanoia?”
Presented by Ted Staver
Exploring the concept of metanoia as it relates to The System of Cosolargy and the Community as a whole: the forms of metanoia; metanoia as regeneration of spirit and a special state of grace that is a blanket over the Community; collective manifestation of metanoia and Shekinah; the oral tradition of the paradosis as the secret of the parousia and the means to metanoia.

“Solar Cultures of Africa”
Presented by Shawn Smith
Every culture that applied The System has something to offer us. This includes the many solar cultures that existed in Africa. This presentation will focus mainly on the Dogon of western Africa.
Most of the pre-colonial history of Sub-Saharan Africa remains shrouded in mystery to us in these modern times.
Unfortunately, this ignorance extends to what is known of the true nature of her “indigenous” religions and thus, her many Cultures.
The native religions of the Continent known for her colorful sights and vibrant sounds, and warmth of 1.4 Billion inhabitants, has been categorized with prejudice by proponents of Western Religious Anthropology with monolithic models of either “Pagan Animism” or “Shamanism”.
However, with delicate consideration of certain African Traditional Religions (ATRs), we can observe that what even seems polytheism has evolved from an erosion of an earlier monotheism associated with the Solar motifs.
Cameroon, a nation of 17 million, is home to 216 ethnic groups, each with its own distinct dialect and culture. We attempt to decode the most prominent of her Tribal liturgies, the etymology of sacred words, and symbology of her ancient local landmarks to “connect the dots” and consider their greater significance in the light of the Second Advent in the Sun of Righteousness.

A giant gamma-ray burst from the infant universe

Gamma-ray bursts are the most powerful explosions in the universe. We can’t see them with the eye alone, but if we could, we might see them popping off every now and then in our night sky. And they’re not nearby. Most originate in distant galaxies. Yet, they release such incredible amounts of light and energy that they can be seen far across vast distances. In September 2022, an international team of researchers said they’ve detected a gamma ray burst that left its source when the universe was in its infancy, at only 880 million years old.

The scientists, led by Andrea Rossi at the Italian National Institute of Astrophysics (INAF), published their peer-reviewed paper in Astronomy & Astrophysics on September 21, 2022.

On the Awakened Soul

awakened soul

“If the Soul is freed from the bonds of the Devil, then it lives in meekness, and in great humility in the stillness of the Element without the soaring up of any works; it does no miracles, but humbles itself before God. Yet it is possible for the highly worthy champion-like Souls to do wonders; for they have great knowledge, and power, though they all appear (in the humble love) before the Countenance of God, and there is no grudging among them.

“Reason alone seeks for a Paradise, out of which it is gone forth and it says; Where is the place where the Souls go to rest? Whither flies it when it departs the body? Does it go far, or does it stay here?

“Although we may be hard to be understood in our High Knowledge; (because a Soul that desires to see it, must enter into the new Birth, or else it stands behind the Vail and asks continuously, Where is the place?) Therefore we will set it down for the sake of the Lily-Rose, where the Holy Ghost will open many doors in the Wonders, which men now hold impossible.” ~Jacob Boehme

Soul Freed from the Devil

When we come into the world of matter, our soul isn’t actually imprisoned by the Devil, but it is in a dormant state and must be awakened and developed. That might be considered being imprisoned by the Devil since the realm of matter is his realm, but the good news is that we have the ability to be “freed from the bonds” by awakening and developing the spirit and soul.

Lives in Meekness and Humility

This concept is misunderstood by many who wish to be spiritual. They think it means being weak and submissive and simply accepting all things as they are. That is not it at all. If Boehme had followed that formula for being meek, he would never have written his many books on spiritual growth and development. If St. Francis had been meek in that way, he would never have gone to the Pope to get permission to form a new order of monks. Yet both of them were practicing meekness and humility in the sense that it is meant in the quote. That sense is that one gives God credit for all the good they do. As spiritual people, we must all work for the fulfillment of God’s Great Plan to reclaim the fallen realm of matter, but we do that work in the name of God, not to boost our own egos.

No Miracles, but Wonders

Some might disagree with this statement by Boehme that the awakened Soul does no miracles, but does great wonders. He is making the distinction that miracles are done by God, whereas humans can only do wonders. You might ask, “what about the miracles done by Jesus, and other saints?” Boehme is saying that those great Souls are not doing the miracles themselves, but it is God working through them that does the miraculous. This may seem like an unnecessary distinction, but it goes back to the meekness and humility concept. If a person thinks he is doing miracles, it may cause an undesirable increase in ego, but if she gives od all the credit, she remains humble.

Reason Seeks Paradise

This is another statement by Boehme that can be easily misunderstood. The awakened Soul definitely seeks Paradise, but not in the same way as Reason. The awakened Soul knows Paradise (or Heaven) as it is. Many people who have not awakened their spiritual faculties seek to create a paradise in their own mind that meets their idea of what paradise is. We see this on social media a lot these days. People arriving in Heaven are greeted by their dead relatives or pets, and people posting memes like, “If there is no fishing in Heaven, I don’t want to go.” Those paradises exist only in the imaginations of people and have little to do with the reality of this, the highest domain of Spirit and Consciousness.

WEEKLY MESSAGE: November 30, 2022

HEAD OVERSEER’S WEEKLY MESSAGE

Wednesday, November 30, 2022

The Twenty-fourth Saying (Part 2)

“And when he had completed his reading, The Man looked again at the devotees, awaiting their response.

“The first to speak was a Companion of The Way, and he said, ‘I can understand how a person in enthusiasm for religious expression can be confused in his or her search for the True God. But how can people be channeled towards the Truth if they confuse the teachings of ephemeral gods with the Teachings of the One True God?’

“And The Man answered him saying, ‘We face a problem here. For example, in the United States of America, we consider, and rightfully so, from the secular or from the civil point of view, all religions to be equal under the law. This is a good law, of course. However, we have learned from this Saying, and from experience, that all religions are not equal. Be this as it may, all religions should be given the same right under the law, and all persons should be allowed to worship God or a god as they will. In other words, every man and every woman has the right to worship a god or God in his or her own way, which is a natural right. This right is protected by this nation.

“‘Now, to teach of the True Religion of the True God, and to instruct man and woman in the True Way within a democracy that allows freedom to all religions, and extends the same right to each without giving anyone more authority than the other, means that the religion itself must evolve to a degree that it can be acknowledged by those who would listen to it. We of the Order must create excellent teachers to exemplify and teach The Way. The Order must earn the respect of people by demonstrating the benefits of the True Religion. Of course, we must be free to accomplish this.

“‘By way of demonstration, when we as an Order begin to instruct Catholics in the supplements and amendments to the Christian religion stating that God is Christ, that God has given His Body as Light, and that we are nurtured on that Body of Light, and that it sustains our Soul – that it is not the body of Jesus that feeds or nurtures us – we probably will receive very strong opposition from both the clergy and laity alike. When we undertake to instruct the Protestant churches and their followers, teaching that God is Christ, that His Image and Word is the only mediator – not Jesus – we can anticipate strong opposition from that quarter.

“‘The same reaction will occur when we go forth to reveal the Doctrines of the True Religion to other sects, cults and world religions. The followers of those beliefs will want to cling to the traditional doctrines that have formed their cultures over many centuries, and in some cases for millennia. This is particularly true of the Hindu, Buddhist, Hebrew, Muslim and similar older and formal religions out of whose old cultures the present cultures of the world have evolved. To expect these people to change and accept God’s Image and Word, and put away their respective religions – to let go of their emotional and psychic rites, or mental rites – would naturally be a very difficult thing to do. But this is exactly what we are being asked to do by the Sayings and by the Church as a whole.’”

I have been invited to attend an important conference in Baja California Sur next week which concerns our property there, so I will be attending with other members of The Community. The conference agenda is attached (click here) for your perusal. We will resume our review of the Twenty-fourth Saying of Jamil when I return. I send you many blessings in Light+ in the meantime.

Special Christmas Offer for 2022

The Miraculous True Story Jamil: Child of Light was first told in a hard-cover text printed in 1972. Thanks to today’s advances in technology, we are preparing to tell the story again through a beautiful soft cover printing as well as in a new “fixed page” ePub format.

The Jamil Commentaries was compiled to accompany this release in a full-color, soft cover edition and ePub. Within its pages are the stories of individuals who had personal experiences of The Child, some within his short lifetime 1959-1962. The Jamil Commentaries has never before been made public in any format.

These two beautiful volumes can be part of your library for a contribution of $100 to help us with the production costs of bringing this miraculous story to the public.

Each of the two books cost more than $1000 each to produce, in addition to the cost of printing. These two titles are the first of several books we will be bringing out to the public in new editions over the next several months.

As special gifts …
added to this offer will be these rare finds from The Community Archives:

■ Audio-Book in mp3 format of the actor Jack Kruschen reading the book Jamil: Child of Light, (known at the time, the early 1970’s, under the title Jamil: The Child Christ).

■ Audio recording in mp3 format of the Australian Broadcast recording of “Adagio for the Child Christ” composed by The Reverend Canon Gary Buchanan, Founder and Director of The Community’s Department of Music.

■ An audio recording in mp3 format of James Charles Geoghegan’s interview on his personal experience on meeting Jamil for the first time in Xalapa, Mexico in 1960.

You will be receiving an order form by email in the next few days. Thank you for your contribution.

Environmental Conference to be Held in Baja, Mexico

Early Sunday December 4, 2022, Bishop Gene Savoy Jr. and Reverend Canon Robert Petrovich will be traveling to Los Barriles, Mexico to attend a very important conference which they have been asked to attend. Reverend Deacon Humberto Garcia will be traveling across Mexico from his home in Chihuahua to join them at the conference.

The East Cape Futures Forum runs December 5-8, 2022 in Los Barriles, Mexico a short distance from the property recently acquired on the coast of the Gulf of California. The forum is an in-person gathering to catalyze discussion, connection, and co-learning about new, more regenerative and sustainable development models applicable to the East Cape region of Baja California Sur. Gene and Humberto will be attending as board members of the Mexican branch of Cosolargy International.

A general report will appear in the Communique following the return of Gene and Robert to the United States.
