The Twenty-fourth Saying (Part 9)
“Another Mariner, the third of their number, spoke saying, ‘How is a man or a woman, in trying to evolve spiritually, to know whether it is the spirit that develops or the psyche?’ In reply, The Teacher said, ‘That is one of the problems that confronts every individual who is living and working in the Church. In the Church, we emphasize the living of The Way, do we not? People often ask, “What is so important about living of The Way? If you believe in God, if you lead a good life, if you are kind to your fellow man, in other words, practice the virtues, what else is there to do?” They do not understand that it is the living of The Way that determines the outcome of their involvement of reflecting to the Sun of Righteousness. This living of The Way dictates whether they see the Image and hear the Word, or whether they come under the influence of the Powers of Darkness, which are to be found in the opposite of the Sun of Righteousness.
“‘There is a Dark Sun, as we know. We know that there exist malevolent Powers of the psychic nature from the fourth dimensional world. The Evil One, the Power that influenced and deceived Adam and Eve in the Garden when the two mistook the Dark Angel for the Angel of God, is the same Force that was in the beginning. Living The Way enables us to receive protection from the True God who has revealed unto us that very Way which we are obliged to live.
“‘When we look upon God’s Sun, that Sun that enlightens our Eternal mind and Soul, we come alive; we are nurtured by God’s Light. Before that experience, we are cold and lifeless, doomed to death by our limited sensory world. And this warm Light from the Sun of Righteousness kindles our mind and our spirit; our Soul comes to life, and we actually live. By living The Way, we are able to look beyond the physical sun. We are able to penetrate to another world beyond.
“‘The physical sun contains the Powers of Darkness. It contains the energies and frequencies that control this planet. And oftentimes people, in not living The Way, are nurtured by those entities which cause them to be psychic mischief makers, which cause them to speculate intellectually and generate metaphysical doctrines. Living The Way means to give up the human self, to go beyond human personality, and work for the good of the Church: to follow the Precepts, Concepts, Institutes of the Church, and follow God’s new laws, something which has to be done in stages. One goes through the preliminaries – through the Ethics and the Codes, through the Statutes and Judgements – becomes involved in the Liturgy, and then goes on to a teaching career that involves administration of Sacraments, and the duties of Cleric, Administrator, and Diplomat. And so it goes, forever.
“‘Therefore, in living The Way, one begins by working, laboring, and studying within the Church. And the Church as a living Community affords the protection of metanoia – God’s Divine Presence. We are aided and abetted by the Power of God within the Church. The first prerequisite of The Way is that one live within the structure of the Church. After that, one begins to familiarize oneself with the Constitution and the Canon. The individual experiences his or her ministry – Ordination, Consecration, Concelebration, Consignation, the Bath of Regeneration, and Consolation.'”
