Use Wealth to do Good Deeds

“If God has endowed you with riches, then regard them with pleasure, for the means to good deeds is in your hands.

“It is not sufficient for a rich man to give to the poor or to alleviate the distress of the needy. He who, having received abundance from God, doles out a pittance to the poor, does but salve his conscience and is not truly walking with God.

“It is the duty of the rich man to cast the weight of his riches in the balances, that goodness may outweigh evil.

“It is the duty of the powerful man to range his might alongside the forces of good in the struggle against evil. He shall protect the poor against the exploiter and defend the weak against oppression of tyrants.

“It is not so important to give to the poor man as to remove the cause of his poverty. To help the weak is good but of lesser importance than to attack their oppressor.

“The Law decrees that the lot of no two men shall be alike. If it were otherwise, Earth could not fulfill its purpose. But he who has riches or is powerful or handsome, he who has intellect and skill, should bear in mind that he possesses these under the Law. According to the bounty bestowed, so must be the return to the general welfare of man, and a proper accounting will be demanded by the Assessors in the Hall of Terror.”

Regard riches with Pleasure

We should regard riches with pleasure, though not in the manner of a greedy person. We should be happy to have riches so that we can help those less fortunate. We also must not seek public attention when we help others. That is just feeding our ego.

Duty of the Powerful

Yes, it is the duty of powerful people to use that power to aid the forces of good and avoid the forces of evil. Sadly, we are seeing a lot of powerful people today doing the opposite. That must happen, though, because when the forces of good are growing in strength, the same must happen with the forces of evil to maintain balance. Fortunately, that need will end soon when God’s Judgment falls on all of us.

Remove the Cause of Poverty

It would be nice if we could remove the cause of poverty, which is greed. Some greedy people don’t care about anyone else and simply accumulate as much wealth as possible. Others, however, have a fear of losing everything. In both cases, we should not, as the quote says, attack oppressors. That will only make matters worse.

Intellect and Skills

Yes, those who have intellect and skills must use them to help others. It is more important, however, that we develop our spiritual faculties and use them to help others develop spiritually. That is truly doing good deeds.

These are just some of the objects that ESA’s Euclid mission is seeing as it completes its survey of the large scale structure of the Universe, measuring the influence of dark matter and dark energy over time. Recently, the mission turned up dozens of previously unseen quasars at high redshifts, including the farthest ever seen at z=7.7, seen at a time when the Universe was only 680 million years old.

“Scientists find evidence of a rare double supernova in the Jellyfish Nebula”

 

 

  • Astronomers found evidence that the Jellyfish Nebula, or IC 443, and the fainter remnant G189.6+3.3 may have formed from two massive stars that once belonged to the same binary system.
  • Data from NASA’s Fermi telescope, eROSITA and other observatories show that both remnants lie about 6,000 light-years away, overlap in the sky and appear to interact with the same interstellar cloud system.

HEAD OVERSEER’S WEEKLY MESSAGE

This past Saturday’s reading was from the Prophet Isaiah. I did not read from the Prophecy of the Universal Theocracy because I decided instead to update the resident Community of our progress at the Red Rock Consecrated Sanctuary after the devastating fire that occurred over two weeks ago. Please rest assured that we are making progress for the eventual restoration of the Sanctuary. These plans, which will be more fully discussed at Convocation, include application for disaster relief (which has been made), the removal of debris, and the planning, reseeding, replanting and rebuilding that will take place. Please also know that all three Ministers who were displaced by the fire after the destruction of the Chapter House have been provided with alternate housing at other Church locations.

The reading I was supposed to deliver from the Prophecy of the Universal Theocracy was from pages 879 – 889. It is here for your reference:

“The Light by which Heaven was made and The Word by which it is governed have appeared to restore order in Creation.

“The world of man, generated out of Heaven-gone-astray – that lost abode of Darkness fallen from Grace – comes under God’s Judgement. Let all the races of generated existence, presently out of accord with Heaven, turn to God’s Light and listen to The Word for the sake of their souls. Even the Darkest of angels heed this call.

“The lost races of humanity, so far removed from Heavenly things, are given hope of Salvation in the Sun of God’s Righteousness that shines upon the world.

“Man has but to accept Love of God and the helping hand of Angels of Light who have come forth to assist man in this Ultimate Advent of Appearance.

“The religions of the world, as guardians of God’s previous revelations to the Holy Ones of former ages, need embrace this Holy Visitation from on High within their traditions, customs, languages, devotions, faith, doctrines, and worship in accordance with Law.

“The Revelations given afresh fulfill the older religions and, above all, entrust into their care the Power of God in Heaven to rescue the peoples of the world who are under lesser powers that would enslave them and efface religion from the earth.

“The Child, who is Servant of God, is Child of all religions – their Protector and Proclaimer.

“Let all religions heed the Will of God.

“Let all religions accept God’s Gift, a blessing of Light that acts as shield against oppressive and evil powers that even now conspire against them and would let loose a reign of terror.

“Let all religions look to the Guardian of the Revelations for instruction and fellowship, searching their own scripture for confirmation of The Child to come in the End Times of the world.

“God, as Peacemaker, would unite all religions into One True Religion. Both the Sun and the Child are unifying principles.

“This is God’s Will: All who would seek Salvation from on High must live as did The Child on earth. By so doing, they will be able to reflect to the Sun.

“God is not endeared to the puffed-up and vain. From those who will not accept the Child, or the Sun, God will not receive prayers or offerings.

“God will descend upon the spirits and souls of those who do accept the Child, and the Sun, and comfort them.

“Exemplification of the Child is an act of universality which prepares one to live The Way under the Sun. And one who lives The Way is prepared to behold the Light of God’s Appearance under the New Covenant.

“God has removed the veil from the face of the sun so that the righteous and good may see The Image and hear The Word. Only the righteous have eyes to see; only the good have ears to hear. Those of wickedness and evil neither see nor hear. Though they stand before the sun from sunrise to sunset, God will neither reveal His Face nor hear their appeals; He will neither shine on them nor speak to them.

“God shines equally on every living creature on the face of the earth. He would that every person look upon His Image and hear His Word. Each and every person is free to live The Way of God or those ways of the world. But no person escapes the Judgement of God now manifest in the Light shining over the world. God would that every one live a righteous and good life for the sake of one’s soul.

“Being Absolute in the Righteousness of His Goodness, God’s Reign under Sovereign Law, He would that no person be ignorant of His Appearance and Law. God has, therefore, ordained that The Peacemakers of the Church instruct the whole world so that the people everywhere might be informed of the New Laws decreed by God in His Appearance.

“Let all earthly powers know that he who sets a hand against The Peacemakers, either in Heaven or on earth, will fall under judgement of soul and spirit. Those who offend The Peacemakers on earth may escape earthly judgement, but none will escape the Heavenly Judgement that follows them to their grave in unforgiving justice.

“No earthly power, no army, no might of any kind can withstand the Power of God set against all Darkness and Evil: God’s Power is irresistible and the Fire of His Justice, unquenchable. His is an all-conquering Light.

“The Light of God’s Justice is manifest in the sun. God, as Peacemaker from Heaven, has set the Light of the Sun as a Sword of Justice against all Evil on earth. His righteous and good Peacemakers on earth may use this Sword in the Sun as a source of Power by which to oppose Darkness.

“The Judgement of God has come; were it not for its coming, the earth with its peoples would perish by Darkness and evil.

“God comes to rule those of Light and not those of Darkness. God comes to save the Good from the Dark in order that the Good might live in peace forever. If Darkness and Evil not be destroyed by the coming of Light – a Light so bright that nothing save Light can exist – then Salvation of souls is meaningless, for the Dark, like Evil, corrupts. Thus all Darkness and all Evil must be put away for all time.

“The New World under God’s Light shall be governed neither by Darkness nor by man’s earthly governments, but by God from Heaven.

“Let the Children born of the Seed of Light as little children of a new race turn to their Creator in Heaven.

“And let God’s Righteous go forth into the world, teaching all peoples and nations of God’s bountiful blessings shed on earth from Heaven

“And God will dwell with His New People, a Theocratic Nation under the Law of Heaven.

“And God shall put down all other nations by lessening their powers for the sake of The Good.

“God comes as Redeemer, Saviour, Lawgiver and Peacemaker. God will restore those made in His Image as He has restored the Image of Himself which shines in Heaven like a Great Light. Let those who would be restored in this Image look upon the Image of His First-Born Thought which is Truth of Spirit.

“The material universe, made in the image of Darkness, shall pass away as must its maker, never to appear again as the cause of suffering, pain, loss, and death.

“The Source of new beginning is The Image and The Word manifest as Law, an orderly process of renewal.

“This new beginning is a sign that the end of the world is near, an ending brought on by due and rightful process of Heavenly Law.

“God is Supreme Judge over Supernatural Law, a Divine Force constant in Creation that supersedes natural and man-made law.

“Let the human race return to God’s Law, for being unlawful creatures born of the Seed of Darkness they are ignorant of Heavenly Law and stand as lawbreakers, condemned in the Light of God’s New Laws that were proclaimed by His Messenger and Servant, The Child , and revealed by the Light of Justice.

“God rules the spirit. Only spirit knows God. God speaks to the Light spirit of every human in whom also dwells the Dark spirit, which is held in bondage to Evil incarnate in matter.

“If humans would embrace God, let them eat of the Bread of Heaven, God’s Light given as Food of the spirit, which reborn as a living soul is the Image of God.

“Image lives on The One Image, God’s Light, and is nurtured on The Word come as Lawful Truth and not upon any other substance in Heaven or on earth.

“None lives without rebirth.

“Let the Children of God take communion of Bread and water in fellowship as a sign of their unity in God, and in acceptance of The Child who symbolizes rebirth. And God will endow the plate and the cup with blessings in Lawful Community.

“After communion of bread and water, the True Bread of The Image and the True Water of The Word can be received into the spirit that will become illuminated by The Image and enlightened by The Word.

“Once illuminated and enlightened, the reborn soul must-needs live The Way of God’s Law in devotion to Unity of Religion, which is neither expressed by age-old rite or ceremony nor by faith or ordinary prayer, but rather through the enactment, within each respective religion, of The New Way which is The Imitation of The Light and The Word as ordained.

“Let all reborn souls accept the Yoke of the Law and the Robe of The Way as symbols of authority and freedom bestowed by God. And laboring among their own people, let them be dedicated to liberation of the races of humanity under God’s Lawful Rule.

“The Word is The Law.

“The Image empowers that Law.

“Order, Unity, and Community perpetuate on earth God’s Rule from Heaven.

“God’s Image and Word are manifest in the spiritual Sun, lit in Heaven and observed on earth by the Ordained. The spiritual Sun is eightfold in appearance:

“The Sun of Righteousness, first.

“The Sun of Judgement, second.

“The Sun of Justice, third.

“The Sun of Peace, fourth.

“The Sun of Enlightenment, fifth.

“The Sun of Resurrection, sixth.

“The Sun of Salvation. seventh.

“The Sun of Truth, eight.

“God is Good. God is Love. God rules by Divine Law.

“Those who would know God must-need live The Way; that is, they must live in Imitation of the Eight Appearances and in Imitation of God and Law.

“Those reborn as Image of God and filled with His Word are One with God who has revealed this Prophecy.”

Proper Behavior of a Spiritual Person

 

 

“Lend your arm to the aged, and open your purse at the cry of the poor. Guard well against the urge to plunder the unprotected and from treating the destitute with harshness.

“If you are lacking in compassion, it is well to remember that today, one man be rich and another poor; yet, ere a year has passed the rich man may be working in a stable, and the poor man may be clothed in fine linen. Such are the balances of life, and it is, therefore, wise to turn a like countenance towards all men.

“Help the man in unfortunate circumstances, for anyone can fall into the pit of misfortune. Commit no assault upon him by reason of his weakness, nor turn his predicament to your own advantage. Fill his stomach with bread and drink. Provide a place for him to lay his head. Let your countenance be cheerful towards him, and let words of encouragement fall from your lips.

“Assess honestly the boundaries of the widow’s estate. The land that is lost to the plow is the waste of a man’s lifetime.

“Do not deride the clumsy speech of a lowly man. The fine phrases of the rich man may be pretty things of no substance. Sincerity is rarely bedecked with finery. What a man has in his head and heart is more important than the fine words that fall from his lips.

“The Just God turns a ready ear towards the outcry of the lowly. Therefore, the prayer of the poor man is greater than the might of sharp weapons, even though he is of no account among the people of his own time and destitute of the power of fine speech.”

Lend Your Arm to the Aged

While this can be literal in some cases, such as helping an elderly person cross a street, it isn’t limited to that. There are many ways to lend a hand to the aged. You can give them a ride, help them with shopping, do yard work for them, or shovel snow from their sidewalk in the winter. But the most important way we can help any person is to help them awaken and develop their spiritual faculties.

Open Your Purse to the Poor

This line definitely should not be taken literally. You should help the poor when you can, but you shouldn’t let them help themselves to your money or goods.

If You Lack Compassion

Yes, we should remember, as the quote says, that those who are well off today may be destitute tomorrow, and those who are poor may become wealthy. But you really shouldn’t show compassion for that reason. You should always show compassion for your fellow man. It is what God wants us to do.

Do not Assault the Weak

Some people think that might makes right and the strong should lord over the weak, whether their strength is natural or because of advanced weapons. That is not what God wants. That is not the way of the Chosen of God.

What a Person has in Their Heart

As the quote indicates, what a person has in their heart is more important than fine clothing or public adoration. We are seeing today that some such people are rotten to the core.

Prayer is Better than Weapons

Yes, prayer is better than the might of weapons. Nothing is cured with weapons. Nothing is cured with hate. But prayer has been proven to help cure many illnesses, even when the person being prayed for is unaware of it. Never underestimate the power of prayer. Praying for others is proper behavior for spiritual people.

“Euclid finds the most ancient quasars yet”

 

 

Quasars are some of the most powerful objects in the universe. They’re the immensely bright cores of certain galaxies, powered by actively feeding supermassive black holes.

We typically spot quasars many billions of light-years away. And because their light has taken many billions of years to reach us, that means we usually see quasars in the universe’s early years, when there was abundant material for the black holes to feast on.
