Bishop Gene Savoy Jr. was initiated into the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the USA (Reno Lodge No. 597) on Thursday, November 13, 2014.
Gene’s nomination was accepted on Tuesday, November 11th.
The Elks’ Creed is to (1) believe in the goodness of thyself as well as in others, (2) protect childhood with tenderness, old age with respect, cherish with reverence the memory of those who have passed, (3) observe faithfully the Golden Rule, and (4) enjoy the good things of the Earth, keep within thee the glorious sunshine of youth and remain always of good cheer.
